I give him sub q fluids every other day and all the symptoms he was having are now gone (although we do still have to go potty at two am, I'm chalking that up to his old man bladder). He's had the same vet since he was born but he recently retired. My first visit to the new vet yielded all this so I really have no way of knowing how long this has been going on..

Avatar f tn Great! A good attitude will help so much. Be positive and stay focused on living life clean. Supplements can help. I was very anti-vitamins my whole life. Don't know why. Guess I'm more of an instant gratification girl. Anyway, I started them, thinking that I didn't have anything to lose. Turns out that they help. Some of them, at least. Have you been to NA or counseling?

Avatar m tn Instead of going for supplements, try eating Fish like sardines, mackeral & salmon which are rich in Omega 3 fats & lowers LDL/Triglycerides & increases HDL. You can also eat walnuts & Flakseed. These have worked wonders for me. I had a CABG done 4 months ago and I have made sure that my HDL & LDL levels are with the required parameters.
Avatar f tn Then it's probably hormones. You could try eating soy products. Tofu soy cheese. Supplements. Keep skin super clean. Exfoliate. Wash your hands a lot & keep them away fr your face.

If you can share some tips or supplements that can help with extreme low mood and depression, I would greatly appreciate it. I take 30 mg of cymbalta once a day. That is definitely not working! Avatar f tn I agree with nygirl. Liver patients need to be especially careful with herbs and supplements. One of the problems is that their production is not carefully monitored and they can have contaminated elements in them. And, certain supplements and vitamins are not good for the liver. Our doctors are not well educated in wht is good to take and what can be dangerous, as well. Many of these products are contraindicated with other meds we may be taking.

Ever since I have stopped methadone all I wanna do is eat. I do cardio everyday but it's not enough. I started binging and purging about 2 months ago. It started off once a week. Once a day. And now whenever I eat I have this underlying urge to purge. The last few times I can feel my heart hurting.

Avatar f tn I will try harder to remember to take the vitamins, I was taking a regular multi-vitamin and a B-complex in the beginning and felt pretty good. Then I tried an energy formulated vitamin and cut out the B-complex and feel crappy???
Avatar f tn Eating iron containing food is the best. My iron was so low n I had to take iron pills three times a day. As a result I got so constipated n got hemorrhoids. So I stopped taking iron pills n started eating more greens veggies n chicken liver n I my iron is up with no constipation.

Is it to late to start to help with strengthing my body on the inside? Is there one pill I can take? My diet, I dont drink soda, I havent eaten fast food in 11 years. 6188223 tn?1379514315 Oh yes, the no sleep part is no fun and was the worst! Sorry about the RLS...are you eating bananas? Do that and take additional potassium supplements. I've also heard of hyland's RLS (all natural supplement) and some swear by it. The mood swings will even out. You're doing great and it will get better!

From what you have stated in your question, you are at the upper limits for vitamin C and E, decrease Zinc to 40mg, and suggest not increasing the other doses. You did not state the vitamin Bs you are taking. Vitamin B6 recommended dose for Adult male is 1.3mg a day (upper limit 100mg), and Niacin 16 mg a day (upper limit 35mg).
Avatar f tn I am 20 and a female, I eat very, very clean. I work out 7 times a week as I am a fitness competitor. I drink about a gallon of water a day, I take fiber pills and metamucil daily. I have had this problem for about 2 months now with extremely, extremely foul gas and intermediate constipation and bloating after eating every meal. Even if I don't eat I still look pregnant from being so bloated. This condition is really embarrassing and socially debilitating.
