A few months ago, my face just randomly broke out everywhere, starting with my chin, and within a week was completely covered with acne. I then started using an acne kit called Clean and Clear Advantage, but that only dried out my skin and made it peel pretty badly.
During use, the majority of my left cheek started sort of bubbling and swelling up a bit, thinking it was due to the dryness of my face from the acne kit, i stopped using it.

I know that proactiv made it worse but the clean and clear acne kit really helped. My skin broke out everywhere-my face, chest,back. My baby is already 4 months and my acne JUST cleared up. I am still dealing with a little bit but for the most part it is gone and now I am just dealing with all of the scars that it left behind. I am using the Neutragena acne mark fading cream. It is a small blue bottle that costs about 14 dollars.
Dark spots and acne are super common during pregnancy! Just use a gentle facewash and moisturizer and it'll clear up in no time!

I'm 25 weeks pregnant with a baby boy & currently my face has been breaking out more & more with acne! Makes me wanna cry, I feel like I'm in high school all over again! What works for this & is safe for the baby?
Do not use proactive. It makes your skin dependent on it and when you stop your acne will come back much worse.
I use a wash cloth and gently scrub my face with soap. Dove and Olay work the best for me, don't over dry the skin. Then I pat dry and put Clean and Clear Persa Gel, works wonders! If my face gets dry, which it does every time the season change, I use Burt's Bees Res-Q Ointment. Burt's Bees also works beautifully on vanishing past acne scars.
I use the clean and clear morning burst orange stuff...lol. All the high end stuff like proactive never worked for me, but this seems to do the trick. I wash my face twice a day and after each wash I put on cerave moisturizer lotion. I have really oily skin and had medium/slightly severe acne. But pregnancy has kind of made my face a lot better.
I have been off for almost 2 years trying to concieve. Yasmin does help..my face was completely clear and had no hair growth.. since being off my acne has just gotten worse each month. Give it a try..it took a few months but it got extremely clear.
Also I tried probably 3 or 4 different BCPs before I started Yasmin and all the others didnt help and they didnt make me feel like myself I felt tired and emotional all the time..Yasmin was perfect..
Hey ive had acne for a while now since i was 8 and now im 15 (early bloomer) and what ive noticed that works is using cetaphil and clean and clear, specifically the clean and clear 3 in 1 exfoliating cleanser. Both are great products and get rid of acne. Ive had a hard time with acne and sometimes still do but these products really work. Also, use a facial mask once or twice a couple weeks and an exfoliating scrub two to three times a week to get rid of dead skin cells.
I had acne really bad during my pregnancy too... but when i use acne cream or wash on my face it dries out really bad and my skin gets flaky... but i found this stuff made by Clean & Clear.. Advantage acne control moisturizer. And i have no acne and no dry skin..
I haven't had any acne at all, but try Clean & Clear foaming face wash. It has an antibacterial ingredient (not salicylic acid) that gets rid of bacteria. Also, Dr. Lin's Hydrating Gel is good to use instead of fame cream, and might soothe painful acne. I'm not sure, since I haven't had any breakouts,these are products I've just always used daily that might be helpful.
Try not to use face washes and such, it'll only dry your face out. I've never used this before but my grandma told me to use cumin powder and water mixed into a paste. Put it on your face and allow to dry then wash off. My grandma's skin in absolutely flawless. She used it back when she was young. It's also natural, I know there are certain products we can't use for acne while pregnant.
I however use regular soap, Dove or Olay because they keep my skin hydrated.
Ortho tri cyclen is designed to help clear up your acne.....I was one of it's major selling points. And as for the weight thing...I took it for over two year and never gained any wheight and it dramatically reduced my acne. I have never gained weight from a BCP only the shot (depo) but everyone is different......if it does make you gain weight its supposed to be minor.

I had other side effects from birth control so I decided to get off of it and the acne returned. I tried everything OTC for acne. I even tried proactive and it did nothing for me. So then I realized it was related to my hormones. I found a natural treatment. It's an herb called vitex fruit. It can take a couple of your cycles to take affect. It works by balancing your hormones naturally with your pituitary gland. It had natural estrogen properties.
After about a year there is a smell and I am extra clean but you cant get rid of it. Your sex drive goes away and really bad acne. You will constantly feel pregnant the whole time and I finally just said enough and I'm having it removed monday. Google mirena side effects and make a decision on whether or not you want to keep it but do it quick before you gain more weight that will be hard to lose! Also they cant find my strings anymore so I will have to have a special procedure to remove it!
I'm a 16 years old and have been taking birth control for 9 days now. Me and my partner has intercourse 2 nights ago and used the pull out method. Is there a chance that i could become pregnant if he came in me and only being on tge birth control for 9 days? Thanks for your help.
