Not sure where the rest of post is. Day 2 - 500mg Clarithromycin & Amox 875mg that night. This morning took 500mg of both Clarithromycin & Amox, and Ceftiaxone 1gm IV. I am aware of CDC guidelines and think that this single dose of rocephin & a total of 5gm of Biaxin over 4-5 days (in place of Azithromycin) should be effective? I stopped Metronidizole,and I finished Clarithromycin course....and started Cipro for 10 days..... ON 5/10 I made HIV test (HIV anti body,antigen,serum test) and it was negative. About a month ago I was prescribed a course of Clarithromycin for a skin infection. Since taking the drug I've suffered huge surges of adrenaline, which kicks in like a lighting shot at the point of sleep. It kept me away many nights and I was beside myself with worry. It's now more than three weeks since I stopped the medication (I only completed 2.5 days out of 7) and I find that the adrenaline surges have subsided somewhat.
Your Symbicort inhaler, I believe is a slow acting, longer lasting drug which is different than an albuterol inhaler which is more of a quick acting, emergency type inhaler, I used the quick acting inhaler but got off of this as soon as possible. I also started to jog to blow my lungs out quicker. You must know your limits with this though. Maybe you start with a brisk walk. Make sure you take your albuterol inhaler with you.

Since our last post, not only was on clarithromycin for 10 days, I was on doxycycline 100mg for 7 days for infected fire ant bite. While on Doxycycline I started to feel urgency to urinate and some dribbling after urination. (I was diagnosed last year for prostititis after being tested for bacterial std's.) I called my urologist and he suggested I go on cipro 500 twice a day for ten days. The symptoms of urinating and dribbling have not subsided.
* I actually can't tell if it's foul, or sweet smell, since I have anosmia, but I have some sense of smell!
Because of this sense of smell, I actually thought that my anosmia is getting cured somehow by the ABs ...
