firstly 2 years ago I had what was thought to be a urine stone - crystal in the bladder. This made the tip of my penis burn when I urinated or ejaculated. It has come back. This time it recurred very briefly 3 weeks ago after some anti-biotics (clarithromycin) I had taken for 7 days. Then 1 week ago the problem came back a bit worse. No bacteria was found on a full urine test. It was perfect. Now I don't get the burn with peeing, though there is a slight burning/hot sensation in my bladder.

But here is my question. I ended up with a respiratory infection and the Doc gave me Clarithromycin, I have to take 2X 500mg a day for ten days. I started the medication the day of the sexual encounter.
Will Clarithromycin help clear up any of the STD's that I might have caught during the act?
There is not too much info on Clarithromycin and STD's out there. I know one thing it is sure working on my respiratory infection big time.

About a month ago I was prescribed a course of Clarithromycin for a skin infection. Since taking the drug I've suffered huge surges of adrenaline, which kicks in like a lighting shot at the point of sleep. It kept me away many nights and I was beside myself with worry. It's now more than three weeks since I stopped the medication (I only completed 2.5 days out of 7) and I find that the adrenaline surges have subsided somewhat.

I have found that biaxin is chemically different than azithromycin but biologically same at killing bacteria as azithromycin. On some post you say that azithromycin or clarithromycin(biaxin) would cure all the bacterial stds then in others you state that there could be some problems.

1) Both azithromycin and penicillin are 100% effective in curing incubating syphilis.
I’m 19 and have been struggling with bilateral Chronic epydidtimtis for 8 months now. I have taken Doxyciline, Ciproflaxin, Levoflaxin, Prednisone, and currently taking Clarithromycin. I’ve had ultrasounds and STI tests indicating I don’t have an STD. The pain has not subsided at all since it first started. A couple of months ago I thought figured out what was causing the pain and was told I have a very small inaguail hernia and a vacrocelle on my left side.
Hi, I was diagnosed with a sinus infection a few weeks ago and prescribed a z-pack, which I took with no issues. I am still feeling the symptoms in my sinuses so I went to the Dr last week and was prescribed Amoxicillin. About 20 mins after taking it I had this strange sensation on my lip...like a tingling/itching feeling and became itchy all over. I called the Dr and she prescribed Clarithromycin. i suffered from a productive cough for at least 7 months, this is the 1st time i had a lung infection and my health is generally good. the cough developed while on holiday in australia. i was given several antibiotic courses which never totally resolved it. i was also never given a firm diagnosis. it began as an involuntary cough which produced thick sputum which varied between yellow and green, it progressed slowly and was not accompanied by fever.
