m sure you can safely stop the ciprofloxacin (ciprofloxacin was the wrong treatment for NGU anyway). As uncomfortable the symptoms have been for you, there will be no lasting harm.

Said it seems to be a yeast infection with a possible UTI. They gave me Diflucan one day pill and Ciprofloxacin to take for 10 days. I have 5 days left on the meds. I feel that it's made it feel better but I still have a bit of itching, burning and irritation right around the vulva. I went today for a full STD panel and will get the results soon, but I am freaking out. Also my body is itchy, is this from the Ciprofloxacin ? I just want some answers....arrgghh.

I did a full STI test and everything came out negative. the collected sample came out negative for herpes. I got a UTI went to an urgent care got prescribed Ciprofloxacin went to an OBGNY again cause i had a heating sensation when taking the Ciprofloxacin again I did a STI screening took urine sample and Nitrite was detected as well as Leukocytes but i was already treating for the UTI again everything negative.

About a month ago I began getting symptoms of a sore urthrea at the base of the penis and a sore right testicle. It became worse to the point of painful erection and ejaculation, sometimes for a day afterwards until subsiding. There is no burning during urination or any discharge.
I saw my GP who suspected a UTI and ordered a urine and STI test (Chl & Gon) which came back negative. He also prescribed a 10 day course of ciprofloxacin which alleviated the symptoms.

I recently had a UTI and was put on two different antibiotics one of them being ciprofloxacin. I have still been experiencing some symptoms of the UTI (they aren't as bad as before) such as a slight burning while I pee and an urge to urinate. However, the pee test that my doctor did came back negative for bacteria the last time I was there and they let me go on my merry way even with my slight symptoms claiming that it could just be irritation and should go away.
He did a urine test with culture found puss cells but no bacteria in culture. Doctor gave me Ciprofloxacin for 7days. Now pain is almost gone but penile discharge is still there.As per doctor it may be Uti. Will penile discharge will go away or should test for STD.
Diagnosed with uti 9/17 treated with nitrofurantoin. After one week symptoms persisted so was given ciprofloxacin. After one week symptoms persisted again so another culture was done and diagnosed with staph infection. Treated with amoxicillin but after one week symptoms still persist. Another culture done and came back contaminated was treated with metronidazole. Now done with prescription and systems still persist. Going to call doctor to see if another analysis/culture.

so i was diagnosed with a uti and prescribed ciprofloxacin i have to note that i have taken cipro once before and had no adverse effects that i can remember, i have now taken 3 cipro pills out of the 10 prescribed and i noticed some pain in the Achilles tendon area, but on the other hand i work in roofing and i was having to jump over some parapet walls on the roof and such i received my prescription for cipro 5/25/16 it is now 5/26/16 8:40 pm, as i said before the first time i took cipr
It definitely sounds like you have a UTI. Here are the most common symptoms:
Strong and frequent urge to urinate.
Cloudy, bloody, or strong smelling urine.
Pain or burning sensation when urinating.
Nausea and vomiting.
Muscle aches and abdominal pains.
Get in to see your doctor as soon as you can and get started on some antibiotics, which will cure this very quickly. Until you see your doctor, drink as much water as you can to help flush the bacteria out.
I have been diagnosed with a UTI after an episode of heavy blood in urine. After 10 days of an antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) I felt better but the bleeding started again. Am now back on 10 more days of same antibiotic but this time am having lower pelvic pain amd discomfort. Could this be something other than a UTI? Urine culture showed a bacterial infection. Is it common for this to take 1 or 2 courses of antibiotics to clear up?
Furthermore, if you are being treated with ciprofloxacin for a possible chlamydial infection, it may be the wrong medication. Ciprofloxacin is NOT recommended for chlamydial treatment although many related medications are. It would be best to wait two weeks until you are tested.
Regarding what your refer to as your “strange symptom”.
but the burning on urination never quite went away (the discharge subsided after a day or two). so, in order to combat a possible UTI, i took cipro twice a day for four days. now, a week after stopping cipro, i still have slight burning on urination and my testicles feel abnormally sensitive.
I assume I have some sort of bacterial infection, but I don't know what's best to combat it. and i don't have health insurance to get it properly diagnosed...
