I don’t think it is a reaction to ciprofloxacin, but could be an aggravation of the persisting infection. If it were a allergic reaction to the medicine it would be generalized, rather than local. If localized reaction is present that should be the site of injection. As you are on oral medication this is also not possible.

hello, I have recently had a urine test and tested positive for ngu, been prescribed metronidazole, ciprofloxacin & prescribed myself with doxycycline tablets after research on the web. 1 day after i start medication I notice a rash in the head of my penis, it doesn't itch or irritate me, If I hadn't of seen it I wouldn't of knew it was there? can this be a side effect of by medication, or any other sti?
I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?
I had unprotected exposure in Dec 2013, but all tests are negative except bacterial infection on penis. And also I was on antibiotics from last 10 days amoxicillin+Ciprofloxacin from 22_31 March , Just after 2 day of finishing prescription I developed these rashes. Please help me can it be any STD, I just feel very mild burning,irritation only.

I'd been on dexamethasone for bronchitis and then I went to hospital and they changed me to prednisone. I was also been on ciprofloxacin and roxithromycin so I'm not 100% sure what caused the rash.
On these drugs, my skin was perfectly clear, something that it has never been before. I've always had eczema and those tiny white follicle bumps all over.

3 weeks ago I found a rash on my penis. 3 days later I started having testicle discomfort, abdominal pain which led to pain in testicles some days later.
I had swollen lymph nodes in neck and groin. At worst moment I had sharp pain from testicle leading to right inguinal lymph nodes. I woke up with sweat similar to bacterial fever.
I thought it was epiditimitis due to STI. I did herpes, hiv, ghonorrea, chlamydia and Syphilis tests. All negative. I did ultrasound and no torsion or epiditimitis.
The day after a sexual encounter, my testicles really ached and i developed pain in my abdomen and back, the opening of my urethra also started to look a little red (rash like). I had a test for Chlamydia and Gonnorhea 5 days after, which showed negative, but positive for Ureaplasma Urealyticum. I was prescribed doxycycline twice a day for 7 days. The pain in my back, testicles and abdomen remained, as did the red urethral opening.

I had unprotected sex about 6 months ago with someone who had cystitis. I developed similar sypmptoms naturally after this and was prescribed Ciprofloxacin antibiotics. During the course of antiobiotics I developed thrush like symptoms which I believe was a reaction to the antibiotics.
Ever since then my penis has not been right and it is causing me great anxiety and depressive feelings because I cant get answers from my doctors.
I said I didnt want to take any chances so he prescribed Azithromycin 500MG (2 tablets one time) and also ciprofloxacin 500mg (1 tablet). The only symptoms I was having was tingling in the tip of penis and more frequent urinating. Took this 3 days after the sex act. The next day he called and indicated that there is some strains of Gonerrhea which is resistant to cipro. So I went back (on day 4) and he gave me a shot of something in my butt muscle (that hurt).

2 weeks post exp. urine test Ghonorrhea/Chlamydia, -tive, however I urinated ~45 minutes before giving sample. Other tests -. Low fever (99.1), chills, muscle tremors, some drenching night sweats.
~ 3 weeks post symptom onset took 1 gr Ceftin, went to see doc next day.
what about stds do you think i could be at risk for syphilis only oral sex was unprotected and i never saw a chancre on my penis by could the symptoms that i have be secondary syphilis

I went to my doctor, yesterday. I was worried about having genital herpes. He did a thurough examination, and told me he didn't seen any signs of rash ect. I recieved unprotected fellatio 7 days prior to the visit. My doc told me that the redness seems mechanical. She was too rough, or you keep self examining yourself.. That could cause irritation. I had one experience with clear discharge 3 days after the sex, but I was thinking about sex at the time in a light sleep.
I had a swollen right testicle which was treated by ciprofloxacin 500g twice daily. The swelling went and the pain in the testicle reduced but then my left one started to hurt, is that conman for the infection to swap sides. I also have pain in my lower back and lower abdomen and very painful headaches. The doctor didn't seem to bothered about it or even check it over. So i got tested for STD'S on 30 dec'2013 from GP ( only hiv+hepetitis B+Syphilis+ chalymydia) only. All were negative.

In parallel, we did the semen analysis also at a Urology center. They have prescribed Ciprofloxacin 500mg for 14 days-2 dosage each day. At the moment I stopped taking thyroxine and taking only Cipro.
Our worry is whether the hypothyrodism is causing issue in low fertility and motility or the infection in semen (for suggesting to take Ciprofloxacin) the main problem now?
Is hypothyrodism resolved with the intake of Ciprofloxacin or are both different issues? Please clarify.
