I went to my GP and he said it could be Epiditymitis and put me on a weeks course of Ciprofloxacin. Two days later I went back to GUM doctor as concerned about the epiditymitis being std related. He examined me and said it was not epiditymitis, he did a second swab and urine test, all clear. A week later I had a slight pain on the tip of my penis, occasional sore testicles and needing to urinate more often. I went to GP who tested for UTI with urine test, was clear.
About 3 months ago I had an infection and wents for tests at a GUM clinic and the results came back Negative for STI & HIV but was told that I had a NSU.
During this period I have been on a dose of 4ccAzytromycin + 2Suprax (self administratered) as on my first visit at the GUM clinic i wasnt treated and asked to wait for the results of the urine sample test to come back.
I discovered I was pregnant at 4 weeks and I inmediately stopped taking them. I was also on antibiotics (ciprofloxacin) at the time for a gum infection. I also stopped taking the antibiotic and my dentist prescribed a mouthwash instead. My provider will see me at 11 weeks, but i'm going crazy wondering if I have hurt my baby in any way. I'm terrified of birth defects. I would like to know the effects of this medications this early in pregnancy.
As nothing has yet been found, my GUM Consultant has diagnosed me with a Prostate infection due to the symptoms and a 4 weeks course of Ciprofloxacin has been seen through..I do not feel that the situation has improved. This is the stage where I am at at the moment. Now whatever the infection is.it .seems to be moving. I have had pain under each armpit (mostly the left one) and several Lymph nodes have appeared on my neck and shoulder/above collar bone (around 2cm in size).
They did the umbrela test and found no infection present. They also tested me for clamidya, ghonera, syphalis and HIV, which all came back negative.
since then i have been to the doctors twice. I have done a month of antibiotics. 2 weeks of Oxytetracycline and 2 weeks of ciprofloxacin. this eased the pain in my penis tip, but did not get rid of the readness or my aching right testicle. Since finishing the course the slight pain in my penis has returned.

just went to doctor again dr. said i it is a skin infection. i am on ciprofloxacin 500 mg. he said could be because of low immune. that is me. im done . it will take six month to test positive without a doubt. i have never been sick before. it hiv, period.
I was recently diagnosed with a kidney infection, my right flank pain is still present and I still have spouts of feeling ill after taking 3 doses of my perscribed Anti-biotic (ciprofloxacin). My doctor told me that I should feel better within 24 hours so I was wondering if this is normal or if it is something I should be conserned about. How long after taking medication will my pain go away?
chances are the infection never really went away, if it was gonorreah or syphilis it probably relapsed...
I took ciprofloxacin while pregnant, it's safe to take while pregnant, however an infection or medication can create a hostile enviorment for sperm.
I agree bacterial infection seems unlikely after the week of Antibiotics I took and I shall take your advice a yeast infection is also unlikely. I assume you hint that Clotrimazole is not a sure cure for a yeast infection if I even had any? I think based on your advice I will hold out taking the DOXY until I have been to the clinic again.
Our worry is whether the hypothyrodism is causing issue in low fertility and motility or the infection in semen (for suggesting to take Ciprofloxacin) the main problem now?
Is hypothyrodism resolved with the intake of Ciprofloxacin or are both different issues? Please clarify.
Due to the above issue my wife's menstrual cycle extends upto 40 days if we do an intercourse. But if there is no intercourse it becomes normal of 30 days.
I don’t think it is a reaction to ciprofloxacin, but could be an aggravation of the persisting infection. If it were a allergic reaction to the medicine it would be generalized, rather than local. If localized reaction is present that should be the site of injection. As you are on oral medication this is also not possible.

I go i the local GUM and without analysis they say that this is gonorrhea. I started with ciprofloxacin for 3 days, but the symptoms don`t go away.
After that i return in my home contry and i make a consultation with my urologist and take a sprem for analysis. That was last friday.
today i received the results - a nave S.agalactia and Enterococcus faecalis.

I had a swollen right testicle which was treated by ciprofloxacin 500g twice daily. The swelling went and the pain in the testicle reduced but then my left one started to hurt, is that conman for the infection to swap sides. I also have pain in my lower back and lower abdomen and very painful headaches. The doctor didn't seem to bothered about it or even check it over. They have prescribed me another 10 day course of ciprofloxacin.
