He not write any std test for confirmation. I read all over the internet about gonorrhea and chlamydia. Please advise me above medicines works for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Or only works for NGU.
Should i tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia or just eat the medicines? I read that ciprofloxin works for gonorrhea treatment. Please help me.
He did a urine test and swab and i as given azithromycin and apo-ciproflox to treat both gonorhhea and chlamydia befor the results came in and i tested neg for both, then i started having trouble urinating, so i wnet to the doctor and he said my prostate felt a bit full so i was given ciprofloxacin. the symptoms cleared up and todays is april 26. Well this morning i was urinating and at the end of the urination(after the urine stopped) i saw a white discharge? Could i know what exactly this is?
After the 2 week period the sexual health clinic advised me to see my general practitioner because the chlamydia should be gone. The gp examined me on April 18th and decided to give me ciprofloxacin which I presume he diagnosed that it is a uti. I had completed the week's course of it and the pain in my epididymitis has changed from a burn to an achy feeling. I decided to get myself tested on April 24th at another facility that was not the clinic.
There are several questions here and I am not sure how they relate to one another. Starting with the last question first. Ciprofloxacin can affect your tests and mask infection, particularly chlamydial infection if present. Furthermore, if you are being treated with ciprofloxacin for a possible chlamydial infection, it may be the wrong medication. Ciprofloxacin is NOT recommended for chlamydial treatment although many related medications are.
No pain during urination and no discharge. I got tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV RNA at day 5 and day 13 after possible exposure and both came back negative. My symptoms started happening 5 days after my last sexual encounter. It has been 3 weeks with this pain now. I sometimes also feel my legs/feet hot and with some pain the back of my legs and buttocks. I am worried that I have something more serious but I cannot find information about STDs with my type of symptoms.

5 months ago I experienced discomfort in the area between my anus and scrotum. I had a mild fever, sweating easily, and general raised body temperature. I also experienced loss of erection / weak erections. I went for a full STS test, and came back positive for Chlamydia. I was treated for this, and systems improved. However, they didn't fully disappear and I have experienced pain in the same area between my anus and scrotum continually since then.
I have swollen/retracted testicles with pain in the back of them which sometimes I can feel in my legs/buttocks. I also have some pain in urethra but no pain during urination and also no discharge. I have been taking Ciprofloxacin but hasn't really helped. I'm getting frustrated. Symptoms disappeared almost immediately. Swab test came back negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Blood test also returned negative.
On day 8, I experienced a return of symptoms. Very warm sensation behind and (seemingly) in the testicles. Also a thin discharge and frequent urination. Testicles remained warm (and very low hanging) but not as warm as on day 8. Urologist prescribed Cipro (250mg 2x/day 10 days). Did not alleviate the symptoms.
t work according to my retest, so I took Doxycycline and according to the results from the test last Saturday- I am now free and clear of both Chlamydia and Gonarrhea. However, I have this new type of discharge that happens in the morning. The discharge appears similar to semen but it can't be. Urination is painful. You do not mention your age but urinary tract infections are rare in men younger than 40 and thus testing for STIs should almost ALWAYS be done in evaluating such symptoms in men under age 40. Ciprofloxacin has partial activity against both gonorrhea and chlamydia but also should be expected to fail to cure a substantial proportion of infections as well. That said, if you were still symptomatic at the time you were tested, the tests should have provided a reliable result.
i have asked my doctor about Chlamydia and he said i have to wait for 3-4 days now and if i still have symptoms even after 3-4 days then he will treat me with the azithromycin. Do you think he is doing the right thing? Also i have heard the recommended treatment for gonorrhea is now dual medicine treatment in which (Ceftriaxone 250 mg IM + Azithromycin 1g in a single dose) should be given. Should i talk to my doctor about this recommended treatment?

When I was 18 I had chalymidia, so I know what that feels like, and this did not match. REgardless, I was tested for chalymidia and gonnorhea and both came out negative. I went to my PCP and told him my symptoms, my STD concern and negative tests. He diagnosed prostatitis and put me on ciprofloxacin for 10 days. He also did urinalysis and nothing came up reactive. WBC normal. Everything normal.
As I still experienced some syndromes I have decided to go back to the doctor, and we took the test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea and he suggested taking the test for HIV as well, because he doesn’t understand my throat and the lymph node problem. I got really scared that time but took the test at the end for almost all STDs yesterday. I will have the results on Friday but I think I will go crazy till that time.

But the doctors that it was because of exams DST never put your chances of having chlamydia and gonorrhea orally, after a few months I had an infection in the lungs. My doctor passed to me to take 7 days Ciprofloxacin 500 mg, 3 days Azithromycin 1g. I have not been diagnosed with any of these diseases, I think it was because he did not request a test for gonorrhea or chlamydia in the throat. After my medication my symptoms disappeared after 4 to 5 days later.
I mentioned my sore testicles and after she examined them without finding any abnormalities, she suggested I be re-tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia to play it safe, even though I tested negative for both of those about two and a half months ago, and haven't had sex since.
I am now waiting for the re-test results for gonorrhea and chlamydia, but I was wondering if the masturbation, after two months of abstaining from it, could have caused some trauma down there.
On an STD side note, I had taken an STD test on August 28 (prior to taking my antibiotics) for chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphillius and came back negative. I did come back positive for gardnerella. I assume I still have gardnerella since my doctor who prescribed me the meds did not know I had it at the time.
