Hi, I got a bride fitted on my top left side, it is 4 teeth and fits on the tooth next to the top left wisdom tooth, obviously that tooth was ground and made smaller for the bridge to fit on it, the tooth was absolutely healthy and fine, i have never had any problems with that tooth earlier, the day grinding took place that tooth became sore, very very sensitive and I had to get temp.

It would be nice if anyone would answer if cipro is an ok antibiotic for a tooth infection. I had a crown come off and dentist said I needed root canal. they tried but said root was too narrow and I had to go to specialist. They gave me a prescription for amoxil for one other tooth, but I didn't6 fill it because it was just sensitive one day.
But now the one they were working on has flared up and the gum is swollen and red.
History: mother who is diabetic, copd, hypothyroid, has stomach issues excess acid and gout, and had breast cancer a year ago with a few benign tumors removed from breast since.
She has some congestion in chest, low grade fever for 20 days now of 98.8 to 99.9 and extreme fatigue. Fever comes at 2pm every single day, she takes tylonel and it goes away only to come back the next day!
I have had numerous bouts of epididymitis and orchitis at about every three to four months from about 1994 till about 2000. Having had Cipro work very well for several years, in 2000 I had a Strep B infection of the left testicle following complications from a vasectomy. I ended up loosing my left testicle to the infection and nearly died. The ended up removing the testicle and surrounding tissue leaving the left scrotum open to heal from the inside out.
No symptoms at all. The cipro and biaxin were not for stds, they were for a sinus infection. No pain, no discharge. I did get a yeast infection from the antibiotics, and wondered if that could have managed it's way to my urinary tract...but no burning, nothing like that. All of this seemed to be triggered from my masturbating without and ejaculation over the weekend...
Did your doctor prescribe the cipro for your sinus infection? Usually, if you did not suffer any side effect last time you took it, it is likely that you will not be suffering any this time. I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives.
From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.
Saw my doctor because terrible irritation in penis tip, sore testicles and having to urinate all night. No burning when I pee or discharge but significant pain at tip. Doctor did first catch urine test; neg for leuk & nitrates, said it could be prostatis so he gave me 7 days of Cipro. Had a minor surgery a few days later so did not take it. The next week it got even worse, so went to urologist. Same symptoms but worse. Dr. asked if it could be std, I told him I doubt it...
So on the 19th, My wife was in a world of pain and really swollenafter 5 days of antibiotics. She’d taken amoxicillin and clindamycin and neither helped. She went to the surgeon and he did an I&D and extracted the tooth. He switched her to augmentin. By Monday the pain was worse, she couldn’t swallow, the cheek was bigger and she’d developed cellulitis so we went to the ED. They admitted her and on Tuesday they did another I&D and extracted 2 more teeth. They put a drain in as well.
Usually for a sinus infection, Cipro is prescribed for 10 days—I am not sure how long the doctor prescribed for you to take it. If you started on Thursday and you are not feeling better, you should call your doctor today (Monday) or Tuesday. Tuesday would be approximately half way through the course and you should see some relief from your infection.
Always felt like a urinary tract infection or kidney infection. Was much later diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis. Was treated for that with great results. Basically, your bladder goes into a spasm, holding urine and creating the pain I felt. Treatment was to take meds to help soft muscles to relax and allow urine to be passed. Also had to have in office infusions into bladder with heparin. I found that the antihystamine Hydroxizine to be a deterrent to flares and now use it daily.....
Any body can ans what kind of side effects that has cipro to use for long time......
Does anyone know if it is possible to still have a kidney infection after rounds of antibiotics like Cipro and Levaquin? Every time I go to the ER they tell me that my urine is free of bacteria but contains white blood cells. I have extreme flank pain and abdominal pain.
pain upon chewing is understandable and would be due to inflammation from the infection (dead nerve) either in the tooth or in the bone around the tooth, the bite being off, or a fracture, which my still give you trouble even after the root canal is done and the tooth is crowned. (at that point it may needto be removed) If you were my patient, I'd consider opening and irrigating the tooth with hopes of relieving any pressure from gases (from the infection) in the tooth.
Cipro is a fluoroqinalone, and is not the best choice for an intestinal infection. Ordinary over-the-counter pepto bismal would have been more appropriate. Bismuth is a powerful bactricidal agent.
Cipro has many side effects and was not an appropriate. In Mexico, what is labled "Cipro" could be anything from powdered dog dung to flour and insecticide.
I had 2 teeth pulled Friday afternoon 6 days ago. The left side is fine. The right side still hurts really bad! It keeps me awake at night throbbing and I have to have ibuprofen during the day. The gums around the hole are bright red!!! The Dr said that I would be a little more sore on that side because my tooth broke so he had to dig for the roots. However he suggested 4 days. He said he got all roots out but I still feel a small sharp edge on the gum line above the hole.
I am a 50-year-old man. About a week ago, I started experiencing frequent urination with urgency and waking at night to urinate. I visited my family doctor who did a simple test for blood in the urine, which was positive. He diagnosed prostatitis and prescribed 2 weeks of cipro. I tried it for two days but experienced anxiety and insomnia, although I must say by the second day the urinary symptoms were completely gone.
Prescribed 500 mg. Cipro twice daily for 10 days with a follow up visit with a Urologist and GYN. Urologist visit negative for any other issues other than UTI - remain on medication and return in 6 wks if pain continues. GYN visit negative for any issues. Pain subsided 5th day on Cipro, but returned on 8th day. Currently on the 9th day of medication. New symptom - throwing up on the 7th, 8th and 9th day.
