), I have places that almost look like little healed scars on the head of my penis, and there is some discoloration. I have also been having vision problems, joint problems, and it kinda looks like a blister on my tonsils. I suggested to my doc today that maybe it's an antibiotic resistant strain and he told me to just wait it out because there were no antibiotic resistant strains in Georgia. I think that I should definitely change doctors. Does anyone have any advice?
Over the weekend i had been at my worst.. The fatigue was unbearable and joint and muscle pain was relentless... He wasnt quite sure what was going on so he referred me to a specialist... But in the meantime he gave me some diazapa. To help my muscles and a 7 day course of antifungal... I think its called fluexanol or something... Well omg i feel so much better.. This morning i woke up and almost all my symptoms were gone.. I had a normal day for the first time in 6 months...
I have had problems in the past from cipro and levaquin.the doctor prescribed them for bronchitis along with predinisone which is a no-no(so i've read)I never knew four years ago that bad things could come from using this medicine.without my knowledge they used these medicines for emergency purposes(I had respiratory failure)in july and now my lungs have recovered but my body is numb,weak and tingly plus I have sore throats.
I still have extreme sensitivity and the muscle aches and joint pain are pretty bad, coming and going but always there. Its also accompanied with a sore/swollen throat I've had for 2 weeks.
My main question is about the aches and joint pain and sore throat. Can Herpes do this? I suspect I picked up the virus about 3 months before my first signs of pain. Can these aches and pains be from herpes? I'm also worried about it possibly being CFS, but not really fatigued at all.
Possible Mast cell activation disorder? Why woulod immune response continue and I keep feeling worse, aftger Cipro and Diflucan and Nuva ring were discontinued? How is this treated???? I am so exhuasted I cannot function. ALl bloods normal except histamine in urine and malabsorption, ie, Vit B-12, D, anemia. Is IViG indicated? Skin biopsy reveals small nerve fiber involvement, but nmot inflammation. Cannot "feel" my muscles, myself breathe, etc., Please help.

Igenex is the lab that finally confirmed lyme (although the doctor already "knew"). My doctor did a test called the flourescent light test. I don't know if it has another name. s in the same class of antibiotics as Cipro)? I was on it for 5 days of my 10 when I started getting some wrist pain and they took me off it. I didn't even know it causes tendon damage.

I think my mom was on it (IV) but didn't have any side effects. All I can say is if they want to put you on it, ask for something else unless there is no choice! Thanks!
This time I noticed again after 30 minutes the sensation were strong and the itch burning. I have stopped taking cipro for 2 days now and the skin has stopped itching but is still blotchy and flaking (not quite peeling). I've never had anything like this before and I can surely attribute it to the drug. I don't think I've ever had a reaction to it before but I do recall taking it once before, for a urinary tract infection.
First of all, how did your doctor diagnose you with prostatitis and what antibiotics have you taken? Did they give you Cipro? Cipro comes with a black box warning and has been known to cause joint and tendon pain.
Also, did you doctor test your for Reactive Arthritis? It's difficult to diagnose but they can test you for a gene that would mean you're predisposed to getting RA. RA is not an STD, but some times it can be the bodies reaction to an STD, but not always.
Please be very careful with Cipro. Look up all the side effects of this on the computer ASAP. I was on cipro 250mg for one month then doctor raised it to 500mg. I no sooner took the larger dose than I started to jerk in sleep and had problems with numbness/tingling in both arms from elbow to finger tips. Shook like i had parkinsons.
I will NEVER take cipro again!
The muscle/joint pain, stomach and groin cramping, headaches, dizziness and fatigue has been going on up to now, for about a week. My penis also has a red rash on the tip and it periodically stings a little for a brief second. This began a few days ago. I definitely can't explain this continuous lousy feeling.
I got tested after three weeks for herpes, chlamydia, ghonnorhea, HIV, Hepatitis and syphilus. All came back negative.
I been having Black Stool for about 2 weeks now ,I been taking Cipro for 8 days it started with a bout of Diverticulitis

I started taking Cipro a week ago. 6/5/09. I noticed my energy to be low and my joint and tendons to be stiff and sore. After a day or so of Cipro, my testicle pain was gone and I stopped taking the antibiotics because of the adverse reactions I was having. About 3 days after stopping the medication the pain returned. It is now 6/12/09 and by recommendation of my doctor, I am taking the Cipro again.
I have been really sick and am just wondering if these flu-like situations (liver and spleen pain and joint pain and fever and fatigue) are symptoms of further damage to my liver or what is happening to cause these feelings every so often. I also have a navel hernia that is quite painful with the ascites at times. It became obstructed in march and I had emergency surgery and now it is coming back out. Lastly, I am taking 80 mg of furmoside and 10 mg of ameloride.
I'm currently taking an antibiotic (Bactrim), was prescribed the med for 10 days. I'm on the 7th day, and I've suddenly developed cramping in my arms and legs. Muscle and joint pain is a listed side-effect on my meds. I'm wondering how concerned I should be about this? Should I continue to take the meds? Would my doctor tell me to quit them?
I'd really like to get through them, but don't want to damage my body taking them.
is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
