I'm 48 year old male, I had very high untreated hypertension for I don't know how long. I went to the doctor and he prescribed Metoprol 100mg., Lisinopril 25mg., & Norvasc 10mg. daily. Also 1/2 hydrochlorithizide 25mg every other day. Before this there were never ED problems, but since there has been. Are there any other medications to lower blood pressure without this side effect? As of now the hypertension is under control with these meds.

I will say that shortly after my divorce, I went through a period of Low T and doc prescribed a drug for that, and Cialis. The cialis just didn't seem to work very well. From my last round of labs, my T level is on the low side of average for someone my age. As far as spontaneous erections go, I still get them, though they don't always seem fully erect. Part of why I knew the lisinopril with diuretic was a problem was because that never happened.

I was diagnosed with high blood pressure a few years ago. Since then I’ve been on 10mg of lisinopril and my BP has been under control. Also for a few years I have been taking daily cialis 5mg for well, you know. Recently my BP is starting to rise again to readings like 147-97-ish, to around 160-95-ish. I go to the doc for a check every 6 months and will now go back in 3 months. A while ago I read some good things about beets and BP and have been consuming them regularly.

I would advise you to work with a urologist, and if you have, go to another as a second opinion.

20 mg in 7 am , and 20 mg Lisinopril in 7 pm (so total = 40 mg Lisinopril per day). During the day (systolic) hypertension goes 150-160 mmHg and only in 2-4pm it is 130 mmHg (and at 10-12 pm). I think I was/am. I now have a prescription for Cialis and a large discount coupon.. Medicare and thus my Part D doesn't pay anything toward the cost of this expensive medication. My cardiologist has also said Cialis could be taken and may help, he also said I can try stopping my beta blocker as long as my AFib doesn't make my heart run too high a heart rate. On the 30 day follow up from hospitalization and another echocardiobram I was told my heart function was up to 30%. My lisinopril went from 10 to 20 mg. On my 30 day follow-up office visit from the following cardiocatherization I was told my heart was functioning at 25% even though I was feeling better than before I had the cardiac event in December.
