Avatar n tn My question has been to some extent answered by an earlier stream on your site, but as often happens, some thoughts which I'd like to share with you have arisen in its wake. After many years of experiencing sporadic and various manifestations of very itchy rashes on my body (most recently tiny clear yellowish blisters between fingers) and related visits to doctors, I have become convinced that these eruptions are stress-related.
Avatar f tn Can stress cause strokes or heart attacks even if all factors are good (i.e low normal bp, np bad chol, triglycerides, etcc...) ?? Is it possible?? Also is it possible you cant be stressed and not experience physical symptoms?? I don't want to take antidepressants if I can avoid it. I took Zoloft 16 yrs ago and they caused me a lot of issues.
Avatar f tn t do normal activitys and I feel like I am literally dying and my hair is falling out from constant stress. Has anyone else ever had anxiety symptoms turn physical? Or could this be something the tests missed. I genuinely have been tested for so many things.
1811056 tn?1316643164 Hello, These symptoms may be due to abrupt stoppage of the sedatives. Chronic fatigue syndrome often manifests with widespread myalgia and arthralgia, cognitive difficulties, chronic mental and physical exhaustion. Complete physical examination along with investigations like ESR blood, platelet count etc are required. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar m tn Hello everyone. I am posting because several months ago I experienced a very traumatic event which pushed my body and mind far passed it's limit as far as the amount of stress I could handle. Ever since then I feel like my body has stored an incomprehensible amount of stress because I never really expressed my emotions to anyone following the incident. My sister told me I sometimes yell in my sleep. Sometimes I would wake up feeling extremely enraged. Other times I wake up crying.
Avatar m tn fever, sore throat, swollen glands, headaches, excessive sleeping and fatigue, etc. After about a year of feeling like a had the flu and having no explanation for my symptoms, I started to get depressed. Who wouldn't start to get depressed in that situation? I really think what I had was a biological condition, whether or not it was actually "it.
Avatar m tn Namaste, Physicians advise patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to pace themselves carefully and to avoid unusual emotional or physical stress. Follow a regular and manageable daily routine and take modest regular exercise under the supervision of a physician or physical therapist. In some instances, acupuncture, aquatic therapy, chiropractic, massage, self-hypnosis, stretching, tai chi, therapeutic touch, and yoga have proven helpful in managing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Avatar f tn Yeah I'm always under constant stress from school and my family, along with always thinking they're something wrong with me.
Avatar f tn It can be worsened by physical or mental activity. It is also associated with nonspecific symptoms, including weakness, muscle pain, impaired memory and/or mental concentration, insomnia, and post-exertional fatigue lasting more than 24 hours. The cause or causes of CFS have not been identified and no specific diagnostic tests are available. Try to de-stress and talk to your doctor about this. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn protected sex is safe sex. you did not get HIV. 2 days is too early for symptoms, and symptoms are never used to diagnose HIV. I do think you have anxiety though, I've been in your shoes before, not eating, heart racing, couldn't sleep, couldn't focus at work. it was indeed my own mind causing the problems.
3539331 tn?1347554407 I am almost 65 years old and have had chronic palpitations for as far back as I can remember. I am a very high anxiety person that has suffer from chronic depression too for my whole life. My mother was diagnosed with heart disease at age 72 or so and died at 78. I am worried I have heart disease also. I am aware of my heart beat almost always. I have flutters or irregular heatbeats off and on. I am afraid of the heart test like the stress test.
Avatar m tn For those of you in significant chronic physical pain/neuropathy (to the level that you're taking chronic pain meds) -- How many of you practice some kind of mediation/mindfulness/hypnosis, etc. to relieve that pain. If so, does it help reduce physical pain (not talking about emotional pain/stress I assume it helps for that). I realize someone will remind me that physical and emotional pain are linked, but regardless, I'm after any physical pain reduction.
Avatar m tn Stress has a way of initially motivating and encouraging anxiety and depression. More stress makes it worse and eventually it will cause physical problems. Sorry, for the discouraging news. Just the way it seems to me now.
Avatar f tn I'll start by giving some background to the problem I have. I began suffering with symptoms of tiredness and weakness in September 2007. Since then I have suffered from symptoms including nausea and vomiting, intermittant diarrhoea, extreme tiredness (I can sleep up to 16 hours solid), fainting, muscle cramps and stiffness, loss of appetite, itchy skin which comes out in a rash if I scratch, and weight loss which has accelerated over the last few weeks.
Avatar f tn Does anyone out there suffer daily from physical symptoms of anxiety and if so what are they? I have been suffering daily for almost 2 years now from what seem like neurological symptoms. All my symptoms come and go throughout the day without rhyme or reason. I've been screened for MS and had many tests, MRIs and bloodwork that all comes back normal. They are thinking that all of this is caused by anxiety/GAD. The odd thing is that I don't feel anxious all the time.
Avatar n tn 4 Because stressful conditions require more magnesium use by the body, all such conditions may lead to deficiency, including both psychological and physical forms of stress such as surgery, burns, and chronic disease.
