Avatar f tn Since my PCP retired, I had to obtain a new Dr. My previous Dr never treated me like a drug addict, but my new PCP is pushing me to wean myself off all analgesics and wants me to use subutex. I have an incurable, but not fatal, rare bone disease [polyostotic fibrous dysplasia], spinal myoclonus, degenerative C 5,6 disc Dz, osteoarthritis of knee, cluster HA's, & daily HA's [? a side effect of analgesics]. Multiple pain issues.

Is the "real world" definition different? Also, is there a diet that is liver friendly and can improve my odds of being accute? Finally (for now) do people who are infected accutely have different symptom patterns than chronic people?
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing a lot of stress and anxiety. Latly my heart has had palpitations, fluttering, rapid like. I wake up and it's racing the last week or so. I've had an ekg done, CAT with dye done, no enlarge heart, all blood work is normal, had blood work done for heart disease also normal, had thrips check and that was also fine. Doctor says my heart is healthy and I was diagnosed with chronic acute anxiety and stress my tests were perfect scores for those I took.

Avatar n tn You both sound like you have "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome", this can copy the symptoms of the mono, but it isn't. You will even have a high EBV reading with it. Avatar f tn Been a long time but whose to say you constantly have this inflammation. You just had it when they looked. Prolonged stress can cause chronic inflammation by the way. I really don't look in my throat all that much. What prompted you to investigate? I'd do what the doctor says to reduce the inflammation and then monitor for other symptoms. If it is just white lines in your throat, then probably normal.

One thing I don't get about the article is the use of the term "Chronic Lyme." I thought chronic Lyme meant that you already had *some* form of antibiotic therapy (I'm not sure oiff/how the length or details of the treatment are part of the definition), but then you still have Lyme symptoms.

Try hard to set aside a few minutes each day to do something that truly relaxes you; reading, hot bath, meditating etc. I like to sing at the top of my voice :-) Sounds trivial, but it might be the best thing you can do!!
