My son is 10 years old and he recently received a trampoline for a late birthday gift. Recently he started complaining of chest pain. We figured he was not used to jumping and that maybe he was messing with something inside like a muscle or something. He has been complaining for a about a week now and tried to jump again and it is still hurting him something awful. Could this be a pulled muscle?
my roommate is complaining of a sharp pain when he breathes in and a tightness in his chest...is there anything that can stop the pain and tightness w/o going to the ER?
A little more info:
he's 26 and overweight, and i believe he fractured a rib as a child.
His younger brother has had 5 ablations for various forms of SVT. My oldest is now complaining of frequent episodes of chest pain that are similar to electric shocks with light headedness and shortness of breath. He states that when it happens he feels like he could pass out. He says it only lasts a minute or so but has been happening more and more frequently. He states that he does not really feel his heart race like before the ablation but that it does not feel "right".
My 7 year old son has been complaining of chest pain in the upper left quadrant of his chest. Says it feels like someone is punching him from the inside. Can happen daily then not happen for weeks. BP ranges from 92/54 pulse of 77 up to a BP of 125/74 and a pulse of 96. These episodes last for 2-5 minutes and always occur at rest...sitting or lying down. Various times of the day/night. He has been diagnosed with an Atrial Septal Defect and possible SVT.
the doctors have done bloods and urine tests, exrays of stomach and chest and still dont know what is causing this. I would be very greatful if anyone knows of things we could get the doctors to test for or any other information on this problem you may have. As we are starting to get quite worn down by this mystery.
My 7.5 year old, healthy son, woke up at 5am crying that his heart is beating fast and hard, and that it hurts. We lay him down, got him to breath deep breaths and relax, but his heart continues to beat out of his chest. He was complaining that when he's standing, it hurt more. After 15 minutes, the pain went to his stomach, but his heart is still beathing hard and fast. What could this be?
ve been dealing with consistent back pain, rib pain, being tired all the time but at night not being able to sleep, and baby on my bladder also! Hopefully he's comfy! lol I'm 26 days away from my due date, so it will be over somewhat soon :) you didn't say how far along you are, but hopefully you're close also! My 10 year old has been to the doctor many times since Feb. She came down with a gastro bug at the beg of Feb. complete with diarrhea, temp and vomiting. She got better for four days and became sick again with vomiting and diarrhea. She got better for a week and then woke one night with L abd pain. She was nauseous and begging me to take her to the hospital so they could make the pain stop. She was also complaining that her chest was hurting. Her heart rate was fast & she was pale.
My 7 yr old is complaining that his chest hurts, heart racing, dizziness and exhausted quickly. He has a Dr appt but I would like some sort of answer.
Now she is 6 years old and from the past 2-3 days she has been complaining of pain in her chest on the left side. We are worried if the asd or vsd have reoccured and if the pain is due to any heart defect. Please let me know if a closed vsd and asd can occur again after complete closure on its own.
Take her to the doctor. It's better to have her checked out. Even children can have heart problems. It's unusual for a child to complain of chest pain; they're not that aware of internal organs at that age unless someone in the family is having heart problems and she's overheard. Please take her in.
On Nov 29 I wrote to you about my youngest son (16) who was complaining of chest pain and subsequently of weakness in the left side of his body. I called his pediatrician and she had me take him to the emergency room to have him checked out. After running several tests, including blood test and a Head CT w/contrast. Every test result was normal, but his white blood cells where a little low which the hospital thought might be caused by a slight viral infection.

Ok, so my 12 year old child is complaining about chest pain and rapid heart beat. She is also having shortness of breath (not a lot though). It comes and goes. She says that the pain isn't that bad, but it feels uncomfortable. Her stomach is also feeling weird and I'm guessing its stomach acid or something. Our son is 5. He's always had a history of complaining that he can't swallow certain foods (meats like pork chop, roast feef etc), but otherwise had no issues. About 6 months ago he started making this noise, we originally thought he was clearing his throat (we've since been informed it is indeed a cough, as he noticeably inhales first. I have a Britax Marathon as well and my son starting complaining of back pain and leg pain about 6 weeks ago. He is 2 1/2 yrs. old. All of these entries seem too coincindental. These kids are all about the same age and all complain of back pain while in their car seats. My son also broke out in a rash around the same timeframe and it still has not healed. The doctors believe it to be unrelated and possibly a form of eczema or impetigo.
She is worse now this morning then previous episodes wanted to sleep next to toilet in fear of vomiting again, complained of pain in the center of her chest, belly button area and said when she puts her neck down it hurts her mid back and her chest and belly.
She has no diarrhea, normal child but has complained of tummy pains not so intense and no vomiting for over 1 ½ years doctor has said thought it was constipation.

For over a year my 9 year old son has been complaining about pain in his back. He said it's in the middle of his spine. When he gets them he screams and rolls around on the floor crying. I've been to the doctor numerous times, they have done no xray, or MRI and say that it is due to not enough activity. He is normally an active child but the past year not so much. Are there any suggestions or ideas of what this might be? Thanks so much in advance.
