As others have said- you can take the chewable/gummy children vitamins. You may also want to take Folic Acid.

Vitamins, minerals and fiber comes from the vegetables which are important for growth and a healthy body. Do they eat fresh fruit? If so, then give them extra fresh fruit to make-up for the lack of vegetables. Suggest giving them a daily chewable children's multi- vitamin to give them vitamins and minerals they need. I cant take prenatal vitamins either. I take two chewable children vitamins and a folic acid. Good luck momma. Fish oil is really good for brain development so try and eat some tuna salmon or cod.

Your doctor ought to understand and prescribe chewable or liquid. They have it for children, so should also for non pill swallowing adults.

In our country we use albenazole chewable single dose 1 single dose at bedtime for adults.Do consult the dose for children, from your doc or pharmacy.

Suggest giving him daily chewable children multi-vitamin plus getting blood work done to see if he has low iron, etc. and can be treated.

Bumping this up. I would like to know which vitamins are best. I am not dx yet, but doc told me I need to start taking a multivitamin. I used to take them regularly. I was taking the Nature's Way Alive vits for a few years, but have trouble swallowing the pills now (3 horse pills a day, but they were great, it was worth it). Now I am looking for a good adult chewable vitamin/mineral supplement and possibly a chewable calcium supplement.

On my own a week ago, I stopped the lipitor and the lipitor only. For the first time in 5 yrs i have no more hives. Why is there not more articles published or side effects like mine posted for lipitor??? What is your feeling on the hives from Lipitor??

I have just started on Lipitor for what has been determined to be a genetic predisposition to High Cholesterol level. The physician wishes that I be maintained on 10 mgs. daily. However the Rx. was written for 40 mgs, to take one half tablet every second day(since the cost of procuring the 40 mg tablet is significantly lower). Will taking 20 mgs every second day give me the same benefit of 10 mgs daily. Or, is it best to take the medication daily as oppose to every second day.

I actually have a lot of stomach issues. And so do my children and we take a chewable Strawberry flavored waffer. It is the only kind I trust since it is safe for my kids. Lipitor is quite a strong statin too, there are many other brands which work in slightly different and less aggressive ways. Even lowering the dose can help. Almost all patients who suffer severe muscle pains are able to be pain free when they change to another brand.

However, through exercise he developed calaterals around his 100% block LAD artery. He has been on Lipitor since initial MI and had the dose increaed since last angiocather test 3 years ago. Hey guys. I post in different communities here. I know that it's known that lipitor has the side-effect of muscle tiredness and aches. Has anyone else have to deal with this? Man it's off the hook. I almost am paralyzed fro, lipitor. This horrible and I would like to talk to someone who's been through it. This is a very under-rated affliction IMO. I've been tested and it doesn't look like I have the Rabadolosis<sp? That spelling isn't even close.

My husband was recently taken off of Lipitor and has been experiencing daily headaches. He's not a headache person. Is this a common thing when coming off Lipitor? Also, I have read that you should stop it gradually. Is this true?

Did the Dr do any other blood work like Hepatitis A or B. Lipitor has been known to raise Liver enzymes. It is a side effect for some people. It cannot cause Hepatitis C. You Dr needs to do more evaluating.

I drink socially and take liptor and was wondering in that I only drink in the evenings if it's better to take the lipitor in the morning in order for the liver to metabolize the alcohol at night. Or is the liver simply distributed evenly over a 24 hour period making the time you take it with alcohol irrelevant. Does drinking 1.5 - 2.0 oz of scotch or bourbon within an hour or two of taking 20 mg of Lipitor create an elevated risk of Liver or Kidney dysfunction?

2 and a half years ago, I started on Lipitor for my high cholesterol, I immediately got pain in my right arm. It became so bad, that I couldn't even sleep on it. I went to the doctor and told him that my Dad had the same reaction to Lipitor. So, he put me on Pravastatin instead. The pain reduced but never went away. I've been on 10mg lipitor for about 2 months. In the pst 4 weeks, I have experienced an almost once-a-week swelling in my lips and face...first time lower left, 2nd time, entire upper, 3rd time lower right, 4th time, entire right side of my face and finally, yesterday, entire left side of my face from upper lip to just below the eye. Cardiologist told me to get off drug for 6 weeks to see if anything else is causing swelling.
