chest tightness upper left side

symptom of intermittent chest tightness on the upper left side of my chest (almost near shoulder). It just comes and goes and it is just a tight sensation. I have read this could be anxiety and am wondering if anyone else experiences this. FYI I recently had a echo done that was all good and holter monitor showing Sinus Rhythm/Sinus Tach. I mentioned this to MD and he didn't seem concern but as all of you with anxiety know, it just isn't that easy.

The symptoms are progressing! Tightness in left upper chest, numbness/tingling left forearm and left rib cage. Last night and today I started having numbness/tingling on the left side of my face. Aspirin is the only temperary relief that works. I have tried over the counter and prescription anti inflammatory medicine and neither helped.

I have had anxiety for 2 years now. I have been battling it with meds then alternative meds. IT's been a daily struggle. Right now I am getting ready to start lexapro. I struggle with chest tightness. I get left arm pain , upper back pain, depression now too. Weird head pain and it's all on left side. It's the chest tightness and shortness of breath I hate the most. I concentrate on taking deep breaths just to help calm down. Does anyone else go through this?

I am a 22 year old white male, reasonably active, 6'0'' 190 lbs. I don't smoke or do drugs and limit alcohol to a couple beers on the weekends. In 2009 and 2010 I remember feeling weakness and numbness in my left arm and hand for periods of time, especially when I was stressed. About a week ago I experienced an attack of some sort where my heartbeat felt like it was racing out of control.

Starting about 4 days ago though, the pain is in the left side of my neck right above my collar bone. I get sharp pains in this spot whenever I extend my left arm. There has also been some pain off and on on the inside of my arm where my forearm meets my bicep. It's been really painful and has made it difficult to sleep. What could be causeing this? One other question, can neck related problems cause chest pain and breathing difficulty? I've been experiencing that as well.

It feels like air is not able to come out of lung and especially on the right side. Right side chest feels always tight(24/7). Left side chest feels tight as well but not as tight as right side. 3. Up the front of my neck from upper chest on left side there is a great amount of tightness and like stretching feeling with pain and a pressure feeling around my heart and goes up my throat and in and behind my left eye it's a feeling that don't go away it's been like this for a year or so and i've had several tests...

Next morning the chest pains and severe pressure/tightness were better. I had no chest pain and milder chest pressure/tightness. Ask your doctor to put you on Previcid - 1 tab at bedtime/2hrs after eating and 1 tab in morning 1/2 hr before meal. I hope this helps. Best wishes!

m a 26 year old male, Today I had some really strange things happen to me, my chest felt really tight like it was hard to breathe, and I had this pain in my left chest/side, Kind of under my armpit. hi, yes the symptoms your describing do mimic gastritis and gerd, but to be on the safe side, you should look to eliminate the possibilty of cardiovascular disease, as upper chest tightness and pain are typicall signs of heart disease, would you say that your pain is like a crushing sensation?

For the last month I have had nonstop numbness on the left side of my head. My left jaw, neck and armpit get very sore and I have tightness or pins and needles in my left arm at different times. I get dizzy moments and night sweats some nights. I experience tinnitus in my right ear twice a day. Hello, I have been suffering from tight chest and pressure in the head for the last 10 years. I get this tightness and pressure immediately after eating or drinking anything. Because it has been happening for so many years, I have the pain for all most 24/7/365. My heart was tested but cardiac problems were ruled out. Food allergy tests were also negative. GI thinks that I have acid reflux. I recently had upper endoscopy and everything looked ok. I am still waiting for biopsy results.

okay hers the question over the last couple of months once in a while I get a sharp pain under my left chest muscle almost on my side, it only last a second or 2. usually I am siting down. It hasnt happen while I have been active. there are no other symptoms . I take my bp right after it happens and its is122/ 82 paulse 83, my doctor says it a typical chest pain and not to worry . well I am worried what do you think.
