Avatar n tn I've had chest tightness (uncomfortable but not "painful") for over a week and now I have terrible diarrhea and wonder if they're related. I'm 34 and I'm 5wks pregnant. I went to the ER last week b/c I thought it was a heart attack. Everything checked out fine. It has been suggested that it's anxiety (although my anxiety meds are not working) and/or heartburn. I've taken mylanta, tums, pepcid Ac.
213398 tn?1202674074 Micheal, I got the butterfly feeling in my chest, it follow with few beats, big dumps and tightness. My tightness in the chest can last half a day long. I discovered it could be a LBBB. Just my discovery. As everyone has LBBB is being told it is harmful and the Drs "DON'T CARE". I learn to live with it. Have a run, power walk or strong coffee. You may have luck!
Avatar n tn 1 week and I was still having severe chest pain, tightness and shortness if breath. My OB then suggested a pulmonologist, who took me off all the other remedies and put me on Advair 500 2xs day, Spiriva inhailer 1x day, sigulair 1 a day, and albuterol inhailer for emergenies. 2 weeks and was back in the ER. Went back to pulmonologist and he put me on Advair 250, Prednisone 10 days, still singulair (not related, I am hypothy and take synth 100).
Avatar n tn Oh...i will be 29 wks tomorrow.... I have been having tightness in my chest for the past 24 hrs. I know it's the uterus putting pressure on my diaphragm, but i was wondering if anyone had an home remedies? It's just not a good feeling...
Avatar m tn Soon after pain, I started to feel tightness in my chest. It is difficult to explain the tightness. It is not tightness caused by congestion. If feels like my chest is heavy or the muscles are laboring more to suck air into my lungs. Today the pain in the back feels more like a burning sensation. It also seems like my face is a little swollen. Any thoughts and help will be appreciated...
Avatar f tn Within the last 9 months, I've been experiencing a burning and tightness in my upper abdomen/chest area just below my sternum. It even makes my ribs, upper sides, and back have an achy feeling. It is usually accompanied by lots of burping and sometimes vomiting if it gets bad enough. It starts with a bloating feeling in my chest and upper abdomen, almost like someone is inflating a balloon in my chest. After about an hour, it reverses and feels like someone is squeezing my chest.
Avatar n tn chest tightness while walking, tiredness & loss of balance. 18 weeks pregnant is it common?
Avatar n tn For the last year I still have back aching between shoulder blades more to the left, chest tightness with pain sometimes and feels like I have a lump in my throat. I have recently started to see a chiropractor and we have found that T5, and T6 has severe problems in my back along with swelling. He adjusts them and gives me ultrasound. At home I use a tens machine and have a genie rub massage machine. I also rub down daily with Voltaren. It's not always perfect, but all this does help me.

Avatar f tn It is also normal during this stage of pregnancy to feel tightness in your chest due to the baby starting to push on your diaphragm and all of your organs moving around to rearrange for space
Avatar f tn Your ribcage does expand during pregnancy which can cause pain. But it also may be the way baby is laying, they could be pressing on something or other organs could be pushing together. It gets harder to breathe the further along you are (especially if you carry high) and that can be that sharp pain. Just try to lie down slightly propped up and relax and take slow, deep breaths if you can.
384896 tn?1335297931 I'm 25w4d now, and for this past, I dunno, week, I've been getting these strange sharp pains on the right side of my chest. Sometimes it'll only last a few seconds, sometimes just a minute or two. That happens maybe once every day or so, SOMETIMES two... But like, today, I got a really REALLY sharp pain on my right side, followed by a tightness in my throat... then like, the pain traveled up the left side of my neck to my ear, but that pain wasn't that bad, it was more annoying than painful...
Avatar f tn I did some research and chest tightness isn't a symptom....I am so terrified I'm going to have a heart attack that I know I am making it worse, so any insight would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn During my pregancy, i suffered from frequent tachycardia Lately, I've been having the sensation of chest heaviness, not short of breath, only the feeling as if I need to breath harder than normal but I am not, just kind of a heaviness. I wake in the morning and feel fine and later in the afternoon this comes on with normal activity and walking around the house. This does not happen everyday.
Avatar n tn I haven't had any problems - a few strong heart beats/pounding every once in a while and some tightness in my chest. I recently went for another physical and the doctor did an echocardiogram to check the status of the mvp. (I am planning to get pregnant this year and he said we should know the status of the mvp before we start a family). The Echo revealed that both valves in my heart lapse -- not just one.
979998 tn?1249553399 * Chest Pain- started out as a mild discomfort, but has turned into a pain after I felt a "pop" in my chest while laying down last night. Its in the center of my chest and lasts anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes.
Avatar n tn I have DVT at my leg during second pregnancy (17 years ago). It is still here. I've a lot of tightness chest (I complaint it is an elephant sit on my chest). I've chest pain for 3 weeks now. The vibration and tingling, pin and needles almost 4 months at my legs and hands still no one able to treat. No medication, very SOB, ER dr asked me to go home "wait and see". I think because I'm not a smoker so everything rules out different and heart attack changes are very little. Pika.
Avatar n tn so far with this one I am doing fine and have not been experiencing any of the symptoms associated with preeclampsia but I have been experiencing a tightness in my chest accompanied by a shortness of breathe. what are some of the possible causes for these symptoms???
Avatar n tn It's me again.. Like I said...i'm 35wks and for the past 2 days my chest has been tight as well as I notice my heart rate is a bit faster then normal. This is on and off throughout the day. 2 days ago I was experiencing cramping as well.... Any thoughts?
Avatar n tn Hello. Within the last few days I've noticed strange tickles in the middle of my chest, that sometimes radiate up the front of my neck. Also a feeling of a 'Lump in my throat or chest' After eating I get these strange tickles, and shortness of breath. I also have been burping quite a bit. At times I'll actually burp of food which causes me to vomit. Although I don't feel nauseous. I also have a feeling of tightness between my ears, and my jaw.
Avatar n tn He also put me on Zocor and a daily aspirin. A week after this visit, I started experiencing chest pain and I'm not if I should visit a doctor or not. Initially, I would describe the pain as a 1-2 second jolt-like stabbing pain to the left side of my chest. I would experience this for 1-2 seconds, every 20 minutes or so. After a full day, the jolting pain on my left side went away, but now I feel a similar 1-2 second jolt, only this time it's on my right side, on my throat, just under my jaw.
Avatar f tn Hello I have been to my doctors nearly 10 times in the past month due to not being able to breathe 24/7. I have a constant tightness in my chest and it gets worse at night. All the doctors have done is offer me a nasal spray and then some tablets which didnt do anything! I'm pregnant and constantly out of breathe and struggling to breathe. What else can I do?
Avatar n tn -Used withdrawal/unprotected sex (not sure that the partner ejaculated/precum) on Satuday, Februray 2nd and Sunday, February 3rd -On Tuesday, February 5, experiences extreme nausea (all day nause), abdominal pain, and heightened sense of smell (everything smelled horrible) -Continuing signs of abdominal cramping, weird taste in mouth, sensitive breasts, weird tightness in chest, loss of appetite. Avatar n tn For the past week that I have been suffering with this asthma, I have upped my Advair to twice a day, and I have been using my albuterol throughout the day. Even then, I still feel constant tightness in my chest and shortness of breath. My concern is about my unborn baby. Have a harmed her for going this long without doing something more? If so, what damage might I have done? Also, what can I do from here on out?
Avatar n tn After having my 2nd child, 4 years ago, I started keeping track of heart papitations/chest pain that I was having. It seemed to be 1-2 weeks before I started my period. I had an ultrasound/stress test 2 years ago and everything came out fine. However, I am still having these chest pains and sometimes shortness of breath (especially when I workout). I am not one to go to the doctor often, so I am hoping this is nothing serious.
Avatar n tn For a few years now, I've been getting a red blotchy chest/neck rash in circumstances where I - am drinking alcohol, anxious, nervous, excited, upset - really feeling just about any emotion. It's gotten to the point where I do not expose my chest/neck ever - and cover up whenever I can. I had read once that taking Niacinimide could help - and I've been taking about 1000mg of it for a few months, but am not seeing much improvement.
Avatar f tn 10) PVC's, like any heart arrythmia, can be scary, but the quicker you learn to just deal with it and not freak out when an episode happens, the better you'll be and you can slowly get your life back. The sweats, nervousness, chest tightness, etc, that usually follows an episode is 99% of the time caused not by your heart but your brain sending signals to your body to "run, get away from this, we're freaking out!!!" Relax, breath, work out, eat right, sleep, etc.
