Avatar f tn Have you been tested for TB? Usually the fever goes up at night and you get fatigue and cough. But, also a chest infection would give you this high of a fever. So getting a sputum sample for culture to see if have an infection would be a good idea. Did you or do you have a sore throat too or just the lung symptoms? Did you ever see white spots or pus in the back of your throat? It doesn't sound like you had strep throat when they tested you for it.
1432235 tn?1306515480 for tightness in my chest and pain and tightness in both of my arms. I was sent to MonGeneral Hospital in Morgantown WV for a heart cath. Thankfully there weren't any blockages. But, too while I was in the hospital I had another epoisde where my chest got tight and my arms were hurting and heavy. The nurse ended up giving me 3 nitro pills before this subsided. I was sent home on a nitro patch that I'm to wear daily.

Avatar f tn 1x a week is what is reccomended for asthmatics. Also I found (I have adult onset asthma and similar complaints with chest tightness at night) that mine gets worse if I don't have my might/dust/allergy guards on my bed and pillow. It also helped when I used HEPA air filters in my heater and bought a HEPA vacume. Good luck!

1054625 tn?1254275876 I have been experiencing for the last 2 months a constant pressure, heart racing feeling that ONLY happens at night. The pressure I am feeling is like someone laying on my chest, feels like I have to push out to make the pressure pain a little more easier. I know I am a healthy person and this is the only thing I can think of. Please let me know if this sounds normal and if it is infact anxiety/panic attack or if I should see a doctor?

245504 tn?1224099316 I have had anxiety/panic attacks for at least 12 years. I am in one of my anxious kicks (hypochondriac) lately and am experiencing a "new" symptom of intermittent chest tightness on the upper left side of my chest (almost near shoulder). It just comes and goes and it is just a tight sensation. I have read this could be anxiety and am wondering if anyone else experiences this. FYI I recently had a echo done that was all good and holter monitor showing Sinus Rhythm/Sinus Tach.
Avatar f tn I am 7 weeks pregnant with my first child and I have this uneasy feeling in my chest. Right at my breastbone. It's like a tightness. I looked it up and I guess it might be heartburn? But I have it all the time. Anyone else have that feeling?
Avatar m tn s been 6 weeks since his last cig. He has had horrible withdrawal symptoms. Chest pain, tightness in chest, irregular heartbeats, dizziness, numbness in arm and the list goes on. He has been to the emergency room 3 times and has had ECGs and x-rays and blood tests done. All come back fine. He believes there is something terribly wrong. I keep telling him it's just his withdrawal symptoms and I do believe that's all it is.
Avatar n tn For the past 6 months or so, I have been experiencing chest tightness, pain, and a hard beating heart at night, and occasionally during the day. It starts particularly when I am laying down, and it isn't relieved by getting up. During this time, I also experience episodes where my heart's rhythm goes out of whack, and it feels like my heart flutters, stops, and then flutters again.
Avatar f tn Within a few days of arriving in the UK, I began to experience a mild chest tightness that wouldnt ease with taking asthma inhalers. i suffered with the tightness for about the first 4 weeks of my 5 week hoilday there. it was strange because after 4 weeks of continous tightness, one morning i woke up and it felt as if a large weight had been lifted from my chest and it felt as though i could breath freely and normally as i did in the past. I was happy!
Avatar m tn Went to my GP for pains under my left armpit, extreme tightness in my chest and heart palpitations. I have several panic attacks due to the chest tightness and went to my doc to begin to see what may be wrong. No lumps were found and an ultrasound was done on my left breast and underarm and no masses were found. Doc and I figured this may be anxiety and so I was put back on depression (Wellbutrin) and anxiety/IBS meds (Elavil).
Avatar n tn I am 29 y.o female. I have been having chest pain that only occurs at night time for the past few months. It is increasingly getting more painful, tight, pulling, short breaths, radiating pain constant all night. Gurgling and gas movement sounds on that side at same time. Recent CT scan found Cebum (fatty tissue in Colon) and still awaiting a G.I. specialist appt. However this is Left Chest Pain, in Breast. medical history: dx w/ lymphoma at 21, cured 6 years.
1756592 tn?1315363237 ie Gerd(Reflux disease) especially as you say it happens more laying down However I would suggest that any type of pain or tightness in the chest should be looked at by a doctor sooner rather than later.
Avatar f tn Once you do that, you can look at other reasons people wake at night with chest pain and tightness. Things like acid reflux, anxiety, issues with cartilage in your ribs, gall bladder or pancreas problems. However, because this could also indicate angina or heart attack, you should be seen by a doctor. Here I some information on angina. https://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/heart-disease-angina Please let me know what your doctor says.
Avatar m tn I started to feel a tightness in my neck only on my left side. if i did get hiv, would all my lymphnodes swell or just a selected few. My chest and my face are a little red. Could this be an ars rash? any input will be greatly appreciated. Should I get tested also? Thank you.
Avatar f tn You can have shortness of breath, coughing, chest tightness or wheezing all at once or if mildly symptomatic your only symptom might be some chest tightness or a cough. For me, I only make wheezing sounds when I'm in a rather bad state, where as most people would make wheezing sounds way sooner. Hence why asthma is considered a variable disease. If your symptoms resolve while on the inhaler, it is certainly indicative of asthma.
Avatar f tn I totally understand. Are you being treated for the panic disorder? If you aren't, I would strongly recommend getting into some therapy (CBT) to find the root cause of your panic. Once you've identified that, your therapist can give you a great deal of knowledge to understand why you suffer from it and tools to help you overcome it. Your therapist can teach you various breathing exercises to help when you get that suffocating feeling. They work.
Avatar f tn I too get loads of strange symptoms, palpatations, headrush, tight chest etc. Cant sleep or eat at the moment. Did you have anxiety before you were diagnosed with the PVC's? Is your chest tight all the time or just when you feel anxious?
780665 tn?1239026549 Chest tightness all the time. I have it all the time, night and day. Anxiety. It wont go away. I feel my chest will explode. My heart beats so fast. Seems it is common. I did not know that. Relieved it is not only me. Helps to know others feel it too. No help to you though.
2044839 tn?1331255841 If you have normal oxygen level and still experiencing chest tightness and shortness of breath what could this be..oxygen level at 98..
Avatar f tn Hi I am wondering if any of you have experienced chest tightness, or funny feeling in the pit of your stomach associated with withdrawals. I am on day 6 of a massive decrease in dose (i'm tapering). At about the same time everyday (before I would take the norco) I feel a tightening in my chest. My pulse and blood pressure are fine??? Is this common for withdrawal? What can I do to make it better? I'm trying not to take any ativan for it. Thank you any support will help.
Avatar f tn For about a year now I have been having stabbing chest pain only occurring at night during sound sleep. I have the tightness of the chest, shortness of breath, back pain, and the pain traveling to my jaw and teeth. I have been to the cardiologist and have had a stress test, and echogram. They had some question on my blood pressure readings from the stress test, so I have a heart cath done. All came back normal.
Avatar f tn Hi Kat, we're in the same boat. You're not alone. One different thing is, I'm 51. You're still far away from perimenopause. My blood works all fine except the iron and vitamin D is very low. Those 2 deficiencies will not cause severe sweating in the night. I dealt with this problem over a year but still.... no one able to find out what's wrong? I sort of "given up" and let it sweats what ever it wants. Spray or have a shower before I go to work.
Avatar f tn The symptoms are progressing! Tightness in left upper chest, numbness/tingling left forearm and left rib cage. Last night and today I started having numbness/tingling on the left side of my face. Aspirin is the only temperary relief that works. I have tried over the counter and prescription anti inflammatory medicine and neither helped.
