HR would spike in 200s, elevated BP, SOB, chest pain, tightness in chest and throat, heavy lump in throat, flushing, weakness, tingling and numbness in legs and arms...pratcially every known SVT symptom all at once. EP doctor diagnosed it as left atrial tachy. I am 6 weeks post ablation and feel much better. Ablation seems to be succesfful but dr said there were a few more spots that could give me trouble later down the road.

I have underactive thyroid and I also have terrible breathing problems and chest tightness. I have finally learned here that it may be caused by my low thyroid. My doc just changed me to Armour. I can't wait to see if I finally start to feel better. It's been 2 years and I am at my wits end! I really can't go on living like this and I don't know what to do anymore.

About three or four weeks ago I went to the doctor complaining of a stomach and abdominal pressure and a tightness in my chest. He gave ranitadine 150mg to take in the morning and night, and then tums before meals. After two weeks things hadn't gotten better by much so he told me to take one ranitadine in the morning and one 20 mg omeprazole at night (just the generic kind, I'm pretty sure its 20).

Its not just a little tightness its like i can hardly breathe it feels like all my throat muscles narrowing to a point where i can only get a tiny bit of air. It kinda feels like a lump too, but a big lump. Sometimes I get it for a couple days in a row, other times just for 20 minutes. Sometimes SUPER tight where i feel like I will pass out but other times just a little tightness. Sometimes it lasts for long periods of time like a few weeks even.

Hi, I recently moved to Florida and appear to be suffering from allergies. People have told me that the new area may be what's causing the problem. Last year I got sick twice and both times people were saying allergies could've been the culprit. This year (in early January) I started with an itchy throat. I have the tightness in my throat, it also seems like it goes into my sinuses and face. I do have GERD and some of those other symptoms but they did a thyroid test and said it was fine..maybe I should be getting another one done.

I have had the lump like feeling in my throat for almost 3 weeks, been on Nasonex spray for 2 weeks. Now on antibiotics for the last 6 days. Still have lump feeling in throat, tightness in neck and throat, occasional ear pain. Any thoughts? Had allergy testing done last year and no allergies. Dr said there was heavy post nasal drip. Wouldn't this be clearing by now? Also under a tremendous amount of stress with a sick parent and a daughter who is in remission.

Thank you! One night September last year that I wasn't able to swallow pills, then started developed lump in throat. All the tests showed negative，GI doctor prescribed reglan for muscle spasm. Lump in throat is better but tightness is 24/7. I haven't done therapy but meditation and deep breathing did help me. I don't know how long will this symptom last but I intend to do it naturally. Just friends mentioned about SSRI medicine， so I wanted to see if it did help someone.

On Saturday, 1/23 I was eating Chinese food and got choked on a small piece of chicken. While trying to clear my throat food came back up into my throat.
