Avatar f tn When I feel an asthma attack coming on, I feel short of breath, cant finish a sentence, chest tightness, tired, and all of my muscles ache really bad.. does anyone else have this?
Avatar n tn It has been always five weeks since I was discharged from hospital now and since then I have developed chest tightness in the central region each time I take a deep breath. I also notice that I now feel tire easily and can't do any strenous work as my chest area feel kind of tight and tender. The latest x-ray results (two days ago) showed nothing and the nurse told me that my lungs are all clear. But right now as I write, I feel something not normal with my chest as it feels tight.
Avatar f tn Occasionally long if it was the achey kind. No shortness of breath. No chest tightness. No issues during exercise. Some soreness on my back like under my left shoulder blade. It’s definitely not GERD or muscle related. So cardiologist did ekg then stress test. All looked good. No restrictions on exercise. After that the discomfort didn’t disappear. And it’s never been constant. I took two weeks off of exercise. It seems to be better but not quite 100%.
Avatar f tn I am a female in my 20s and always been healthy. I do not have a history of asthma in my childhood. I have bad chest tightness with occasional shortness of breath. My symptoms are bad some days and gone on other days. My previous doctor prescribed me Flovent. Also, I was prescribed Albuterol for a rescue inhaler. Flovent didn't work so my dose was increased. I am still on it and still not working.
Avatar n tn The clues to that are it is worse when you are not busy and gets better with exercise. Cardiac chest pain would be worse in the gym with exertion. If you saw a cardiologist and they were not worried, you are probably ok. Good job losing all that weight. Resting heart rate of 60 is great. It is unlikely a cardiac condition slipped through the cracks. I hope this helps.
Avatar n tn Hi, 30 year old male here (i posted once a while back). 60 lbs too fat, ex smoker 20 pack-years, cholesterol 153. Tests done have been plain stress test, resting echo, chest xray, Holter, 30-day monitor, and the usual labs. Everything was normal. I have had what they're calling atypical chest pain for 6 months. It's a heavy tightness under my middle or upper chest/sternum that just kind of sits there and makes me uncomfortable about 75% of the time.
245504 tn?1224099316 I have had anxiety/panic attacks for at least 12 years. I am in one of my anxious kicks (hypochondriac) lately and am experiencing a "new" symptom of intermittent chest tightness on the upper left side of my chest (almost near shoulder). It just comes and goes and it is just a tight sensation. I have read this could be anxiety and am wondering if anyone else experiences this. FYI I recently had a echo done that was all good and holter monitor showing Sinus Rhythm/Sinus Tach.
Avatar f tn When I went to the doctor, he told me I was just nervous about the wedding, and it would go away after the wedding. He was right. However, I remember that chest tightness being in the center of my chest, not on the left side. Do you think this is a heart related condition or just stress? Thanks!
Avatar m tn s really scary and I feel kind of panicky when it happens, but it always goes away after a few minutes of slowing down. I have never had this problem before, I would just have the normal heavy breathing when pushing myself. What would be causing this to happen?
Avatar m tn ve been having tightness in my chest (would say it feels consistently uncomfortable, occasionally painful) and shortness of breath (especially when exercising) for almost 4 months now, and since last month I've been able to see my pulse in the middle of my torso through the skin (just below pecs, just above abdomen pretty much center), it is especially crazy looking whenever I exercise. Why can I see my heartbeat/pulse all of a sudden?
Avatar f tn sometimes i get tightness in my chest and just have to focus and breathe and eventually it goes away. not sure what it is i guess it has alot to do with frame of thinking due to when you are having an anxiety attack...
Avatar n tn Heart burn/indigestion is often a sign of acid reflux from the stomach, which can occur at rest or with exercise, and is often associated with asthma. The most worrisome causes of chest pain, shortness of breath and tightening of the chest would be disease of the blood vessels of the heart, also known as coronary artery disease (CAD), and blood clots to the lungs, also known as pulmonary emboli (PE).
Avatar m tn Over the past year I have had a few episodes lasting 1-3 days where I get a dull chest tightness in my upper left chest. It lasts about 5-10 seconds and then subsides for a few minutes, sometimes longer or shorter, before returning again. I have no other symptoms during the episodes other than the pain...no shortness of breath, no pain anywhere else, and normal pulse and BP. About 6 months ago it lasted a few days and I went to the ER.
881463 tn?1245345649 He strongly feels that my depression, anxiety compounded by Hypochondria, along with acid reflux a rough gastroscope 3 weeks ago when i severely gagged and coughed perhaps caused some inflammation along with possible ouespohegal spasms and the chest muscle tightness from 5 weeks of extreme non stop anxiety and hypochondria are causing my chest/back pain I started massage therapy today twice a week for a month to try and help with the moderate back pain i have had.
Avatar m tn They always rush me out - saying there is no problem. I wake up every day with a tightness in my chest that feels like its impacting my heart. So I decided to start taking: https://shoppopeyes.com/en/products/ballistic-labs-big-boy-293g This powder seems to have a powerful blend of ingredients that are designed to help with cardiovascular problems. I believe the root cause of the scrotal tightness is a lack of proper blood flow. After taking it for a few days.
Avatar n tn There is also pain in the left side of my chest and the sensation of pins and needles. With a few minutes of steady breathing the panic goes away, but the feeling of a weight on my chest does not. In the past four months I have been smoking the equivalent of a joint every day (marijuana) and been exposed to a decent amount of second-hand smoke. Before this I have never really been exposed to second-hand smoke nor smoke at all. At the doctor's, my vitals all seemed o be fine.
712042 tn?1254569209 To doctors in primary care and speciality care, consider this diagnosis in your patients when otherwise healthy people present with vague cardiac type complaints but always shortness of breath and chest tightness with exertion. My doctors have been just been puzzled by my consistent, persistent, and well articulated complaints. This thing is not real rare, just difficult to diagnose therefore uncommon. It is not defined within any race and seems to hit post- menopausal women.
Avatar m tn t eat much and not sleeping well, reason why was that i was worried about pain that was in my testicle but found out that is was a epidyimal cyst and that it was nothing to worry about. Now i am back to my routine and seem to be having some chest tightness. I am wondering if it was from all the stress i was putting myself under or is it probably from my ablation and it is just healing? Idk I go see the doctor who performed my ablation on friday.
Avatar m tn My indigestion symptoms did not go away (and neither did the chest tightness), so my doctor sent me to a Gastro who treated me aggressively with PPIs, enzymes, and a minor anti-depressant (during the 1st few weeks, since he must have thought that "stress" was causing my symptoms). After 3-4 month treatment, the indigestion problems seemed to be under control. This is where it gets interesting - right around that time the chest tightness symptoms seem to have reduced as well.
Avatar f tn Hi All, I am a huge sufferer of anxiety and panic as some of you know. I have been diagnosed with PVC's and am on medication for them, but I have noticed lately that my chest seems to be tightening. I have gallbladder issues, and gerd so I'm not sure if it has to do with that or what! Of course I am getting quite nervous. I have been under a lot of stress lately and I'm sure that has something to do with it.
Avatar n tn I am a 29 year old who has been having chest tightness for about 3 days with a headache that comes and goes. I went to an urgent care for them to tell me nothing except that my vital signs are healthy, take no xrays, take no blood, etc. They prescribed me an inhaler thinking that it was an allegarine asthma. IT hasn't helped so far. When I work out, it doesn't bother me anymore. I am not short of breath; however, to take a deep breath takes a little more effort.
Avatar f tn Within a few days of arriving in the UK, I began to experience a mild chest tightness that wouldnt ease with taking asthma inhalers. i suffered with the tightness for about the first 4 weeks of my 5 week hoilday there. it was strange because after 4 weeks of continous tightness, one morning i woke up and it felt as if a large weight had been lifted from my chest and it felt as though i could breath freely and normally as i did in the past. I was happy!
Avatar f tn You can have shortness of breath, coughing, chest tightness or wheezing all at once or if mildly symptomatic your only symptom might be some chest tightness or a cough. For me, I only make wheezing sounds when I'm in a rather bad state, where as most people would make wheezing sounds way sooner. Hence why asthma is considered a variable disease. If your symptoms resolve while on the inhaler, it is certainly indicative of asthma.
