I am a 29 year old who has been having chest tightness for about 3 days with a headache that comes and goes. I went to an urgent care for them to tell me nothing except that my vital signs are healthy, take no xrays, take no blood, etc. They prescribed me an inhaler thinking that it was an allegarine asthma. IT hasn't helped so far. When I work out, it doesn't bother me anymore. I am not short of breath; however, to take a deep breath takes a little more effort.
Glad to hear Birdie, that you pulled throught the illness. Pnuemonia is not like having a cold, that comes and goes. As if I'm sure you already know this. When they did the xrays, did you mention to them about the tightness of the chest? If they say everything is A Okay. then it could merely be a tightness of the muscles in the chest cavity.
Your best remedy is to exercise your chest cavity. Pulling your shoulders back . As far back as you can reach them.
I am sixteen years old. I am an asthmatic, although it rarely troubles me and I use my inhaler on a very rare basis. I have been on and off sick with the flu and I'm relatively sure I haven't recovered one hundred percent. However, lately I have begun to feel a significant tightness of my chest - to the point where it's panicking. There is also pain in the left side of my chest and the sensation of pins and needles.
I am still experiencing breathlessness while walking around, some chest pain/tightness that comes and goes. The last episode of chest pain lasted just a few minutes, a strange, uncomfortable feeling in the middle (just a little to the left) of the top of my chest. Almost like a burning sensation.
Any ideas?

A month ago I started having problems breathing which caused me to go the the emergency room about 3 times. 2 of the times I felt as if my heart was beating irregularly, my chest felt tight, and I couldn't breathe. I started hyperventilating and felt like I was gonna pass out.The other time I just couldn't breathe.
33 Year old smoker, You used to be a fairly heavy drinker for 12 years but quit 2 weeks ago and I keep waking up with chest tightness over the last 4 weeks that feels like heavy pressure. I get cold and clamy hands today I had minor electic shock feeling around my heart that came and went for seconds at a time I also was able to bike ride 40 -60 miles a week 4 weeks ago now I cant walk around the block without being out of breath and feel my heart pumping hard and feel like im gonna pass out.
Now, a year and a half later I am still having symptoms such as occasional sharp pain in my left chest, a feeling of fullness in the center of my chest which just started recently and a dull ache that comes and goes. I exercise heavily 6 days a week. In fact, it seems the only time I don’t notice the tightness is when I am exercising at the gym. The strange part about the tightness is it gets really bad when I run on surfaces such as concrete, or a gym floor, but not on a treadmill.
The pain in my neck/jaw and arm have gone away, but the tightness in my chest comes and goes. I just started this job, last week, which is why I continued driving to work, this morning, but now I'm concerned. Was I having a mini-heart attack? If I go to the ER, after work, will they still be able to see if I did/did not have a heart attack?
It can, but it can also come with GERD (acid reflux). I would see your doctor and go from there. Take care.
Hi i have a lot of pain on my chest, its like a tight chest pain that comes and goes, i have high blood presure and my father had i mesive heart attack last year and my sister that passed away also had high blood and died of a heart attack and a stroke at the sametime, i have been to the doctor and they keep telling me that they a checking the problem. And i have been admitted for my high blood, please help.

About a week after the operation and when my throat was almost fully recovered, I had gone back to school and was leading a normal, chest tightness free life until the next day. My chest slowly began to feel as though the weight was coming back onto it and i was getting more and more worried because I dont like having that tightness. So, that tightness hasnt gone away since that week after my operation. I have visited so many doctors and specialists.
it was in the morning and i was standing and doing some writing on my pc. i got a sudden tightness and pain in my right calf. it wasnt like the worst pain ever but it wasnt very comfortable. i got worried but i pushed it out of my mind because it left. but it has happened two times more. it happened when i got up and went downstairs then it happened just when i stood up. i am not like active in the way where i run around and stuff but i stand and move around basically the whole day.
Went to my GP for pains under my left armpit, extreme tightness in my chest and heart palpitations. I have several panic attacks due to the chest tightness and went to my doc to begin to see what may be wrong. No lumps were found and an ultrasound was done on my left breast and underarm and no masses were found. Doc and I figured this may be anxiety and so I was put back on depression (Wellbutrin) and anxiety/IBS meds (Elavil).
It's kinda like red rash (hives) that DO NOT itch or bother me. But everytime I get them I notices I have like stiffin' achin' sinus problems' & hard to breath. It stay for bout a week then goes away on it's on.
But when it 1st started..it was ONLY on my neck & upper chest & back. Each time that it comes back, I've notices it's spreading more: like this time it's on my shoulder's & lower part of arms. And on my upper legs.
Ive had radiographies and echographies of my kidneys and bladder 2 days ago and nothing shows up tho I do seem to have some slight back pain but the doctor says it seems to be just stress or muscular. Ive noticed the urethritis comes after a few days of relief and then it goes away for a couple of days. What could it be?
