I am not yet diagnosed, but I get it with different type sensations i.e. right rib discomfort, sharp right rib pain, sharp right chest pain, and also the sensation where I cannot get my breath, like something sitting on my rib cage.
Also when I am walking for exercise sometimes I get to the point where I cannot catch my breath. Sometimes also after going to bed at night, I will notice that I cannot breathe in and out with a full inspiration/expiration.
Ever since I get weird spasms right under the rib cage on the right side. My pulmonologist dismisses it as 'you'll always know your chest was opened'.
It really feels like something is wrong, not just post chest surgery pain. The area has become tender to touch recently and the spasms are more frequent.
About 5 years ago I was putting up a fence. I bent over and suddenly felt something "pop" right under the last bottom rib on my right side. The pain was so sharp I almost passed out and had to lay on the ground for about 10 minutes. Ever since then I would have a dull to semi-sharp pain here and there, mostly when I was doing something active or twisting. (maybe every 2 months or so) I chalked this up as a pulled muscle or something.
The heart burn and acid reflux was back, the stomache pain was almost unbearable. After the Hida scan I had pain in left and right side under my rib cage. Miserable heart burn that nothing helped and extrem nausea to the point that I couldn't eat.
I will go see this specialist. But to be honest, I have had enough. If he doesn't give me a resonable answer, I will stick to my diet and enough will be enough! I am tired of docs. and Hosp. tests ect...
The pain, which takes turns being located in my mid/top right abdomen, directly under my lower rib cage, lower right side of my back, and right shoulder, seems to subside when I first get up in the morning. I comes back, usually in the abdominal area during the day, then is agonizing under the ribs and back later. Nearly two years ago my heart started fluttering and skipping beats.
Just last few days experienced a pain on right side under my rib cage,, not constant. Do you think this sounds like anything related to treatment or just something else?
BTW... getting 2 8 week old puppies tonight with hubby. Hubby said he would take control of them,,,, Good for the mind and soul! I know,,, crazy!!
my lower right rib does NOT stick out on the right side as it does on my left side. When I stick out my chest there is sort of a shelf from my breast down to the last rib, then a sharp drop-off. On the right side, the last ribs DO NOT stick out. It is almost concave where the rib SHOULD be sticking out. And this is EXACTLY where I feel my ribs in my guts.
Can anyone else perceive this on themselves? PLEASE respond to the thread if it's the case for you.
When ever I hold my breath and let all the wind out of my lungs and squeeze my chest it will give me pain on and around my sternum. If I turn my head sharply I will feel pain on the right side. But what hurts me the most is when I push down on my sternum or pull an object into my sternum. Nothing shows up in xrays and the doctors just keep sending me away without telling me anything. Does anyone know what this could be? It also does hurt in my back on the right side when everything hurts.
Im having the worst chest pain under my breast on the right side of my rib cage. I cant sleep, take any deep breaths, cough, it hurts when I lay down, get up, when I do anything & the pain is getting unbearable. I don't have any high blood pressure, or any iron deficiency. Has anyone experience this before or is going thru this.
About 2 weeks ago I started to have pain under my right shoulder blade and the pain moves all the way to my chest. It also hurts to breathe in deep and to push on my chest/back.It hurts to lay down so I havent slept good at all and I have a 6month old and its hard to pick her up as well. I wasnt sure if it could be muscles or maybe my ribs.. the only thing I did was I sliped in the river and caught myself but that was with my other arm?
I was just diagnosed with Crohn's and colitis. I have had a pain on my right side for 2 years now. It's right under my rib cage and sometimes it goes around to my back. I don't see any connection to the pain and anything I eat. I'm waiting to see what, if any, medication they will put me on.
Its a very small dull pain, I am also experiencing pain right below my right rib cage, on the upper side of my stomach. It feels as if the lining of the stomach hurts, not sure if that makes any sense but that would be the best way to describe it. It only lasts a few seconds and then it'll go away only to repeat itself a few minutes later. It is not a constant pain, it is not happening 24 hrs a day, it seems to be a few episodes happening throughout the entire day.
