1371160 tn?1303508772 Her back pain is radiating from her back to her chest, making it very difficult for her to breathe. Someone( one of her friends) had looked at her back and saw that one side of her back was more swollen than the other. They put a cold water bottle on it and the swelling went down, but the pain didn't go away. I am urging her to go to the ER and have it looked at now, but I would like to help her find some kind of relief if only temporary. Any ideas ladies?
Avatar f tn Sometimes it was sharp stabbing, sometimes just a dull but painful ache on the left side radiating to my arm. I ended up going to the A+E several times and each time the ECG and bloods came back fine and therefore was basically just dismissed as a hypochondriac. The pain finally died down in about March meaning i'd had it about 5 months.

Avatar m tn It only hurts when I lower my shoulders all the way. The pain is at the center of my chest and can go to my back at the center. I played basketball last Saturday and I was chest checking people so I'm guessing and hoping it's brusised I haven't had any other symptoms. Does this sound serious?

Any more questions just comment. Hope you get better. <My mom has this so i know alot about it.

Avatar f tn I am wondering if anyone out there has had this. I have been to the doctor, several times and they say it isn't my heart. I get these weird pains in my chest area and they aren't always in the same place. They last about a second and then go away. Sometimes, when I have them, I can also feel pain in back. I was in the emergency room and ER doc gave it a name. I can't remember what is was, exactly, but it had the word "tic' in it.

Avatar n tn t do anything out of the normal today but have been experiencing a visceral pain in the lower left side of my chest radiating into my left breast. I can feel it all the time but especially when I exhale. Any idea what it is/how to make it better?
Avatar m tn My husband is 32 years old in great shape and has been having chest pain, upper left back pain, lower abdominal and side pain, and shooting pain down his left arm with some numbness. He has been dealing with these symptoms for a while now and keeps going to the doctor and running all these tests and nothing. Yesterday, while he was at work he had to leave and go to the e.r. and of course nothing, they told him to go to his doctor. which is what we have been doing.
Avatar f tn I had a similar problem with my back and chest where I had pain and radiating pain to my back, shoulder and neck. I went to a physical therapist and she applied some stretching to my back and chest muscles and it realeased to the point that I could breath better. Also, many chiropractors are good at adjusting the chest and back joints where it releases and allows you to breath better. I know it sounds weird, but for me it really worked.
5773548 tn?1383947668 I have just started getting this achey but very painful back pain but it first started on my left radiating to my front. Now its my whole lower back and occasionally radiating to the front on my left side. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn Does it start in the middle but also radiating to under the right ribs and into the back ? It may be some gall bladder problem, it may be a good idea to have it checked out.
1069143 tn?1471312610 Could be GERD thats reflux can be painful ,meds may help you, where is the pain if its on the right under the ribs radiating to your back, could be some gall bladder distress, always get chest pains checked out, is it worse when you eat, what triggers an attack ?
Avatar f tn iF IT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF CHEST AND THERE IS ANY CHEST AIN IT SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY RADIATING TO YOUR BACK IT COULD E GALL STONES TOO, IT IS LIKE A HEART ATTACK REALLY BAD FIRST MAKE SURE YOUR HEART IS OK, EVEN INDIGESTION COULD CAUSE THIS MIDDLE OF CHEST ISUUE MY HUSBAND HAD IT GAVE SOME MILK AND IT SUBSIDED.
Avatar n tn if i had pain like that especaily if its chest related, just go to the hospital and have it checked out, better to do that then end up on the floor dead from a heart attach you thought was gullbladder issues.

Avatar f tn Are you still experiencing the chest pains? Also, can you pretty much point to where you chest pain is, or is it radiating to your arm or throat? If it isn't radiating it could maybe be arrythmia or something similar to that. I know it sounds bad, but doctors know how to deal with it. It's fairly common. Do you take any medications? Have you ever fainted or blacked out, or is it just lightheadedness?
Avatar f tn a month ago i got chest pain, difficulty in breathing pain radiating to left arm, back and feeling a lot of heaviness in the heart, palpitation. Avatar f tn I can't. My mom always thinks I'm fine. But Since yesterday it started hurting just between my chest and this only happens past like 6. But this time when it hurts, it just gets wrose and worse and worse and it doesn't stop, it doesn't move, it doesn't change. It feels like I'm swallowing something that won't move from my throat, too, which is why it's odd when I cough.
Avatar n tn Only a doctor can determine for sure what's happening. Not all arm pain or chest pain is heart related. It could easily be a pinched nerve or muscle pain that's radiating further. And pain will increase heart rate. To my knowledge (which is limited) I don't think a heart attack usually goes on for days.
