i have normal heart cath and i still have numbness on my left arm and chest pain what is it?

Hey all. I'm 34 yrs old and I am overweight BMI 40. I have been having chest pain on my left side. It also shoots to my left armpit, side of left breast and I have numbness and tightness down my forearm into my hand. I went to urgent care on Friday and all I got was a high WBC indicating I have an infection somewhere! So I went to the ER and that dr, didn't seem to worried at all. Now it's Sunday and I still have pain tightness and heaviness.

I feel they should have done an MRI w/and without contrast at least, rather than just a plain cat scan- or did they use contrast to check the blood vessels in the head for signs of stroke/TIA?

But the pain i feel in my chest is quite painful to the point where im having trouble sleeping. There are days when my legs feel weak and i dont feel like i can do the things i usually do on the court. I also tend to wake up with a numb arm. Anybody know whats going on? please help. thank you.

Myocardial infarction pain is characteristically crushing retrosternal chest pain which may move to arms, shoulder, neck, teeth, jaw, belly area or back. This can be squeezing, lasting for 20 minutes. Rest and nitroglycerin may help relieve the pain to some extent. Other symptoms are anxiety, cough, dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath etc. your doctor would like to check the cardiac enzymes like troponin and CPK, CPK MB.

I have numbness in my chest at times and hard to breath and sometime putations in the centre off my chest and occassional pain in same part of my chest and sometimes aching in the left arm and I have asthma any help

I would start with your PCP and maybe on to a gastroenterologist. GERD can produce chest pain, severe chest pain that feels very much like a heart attack. I know because I have had it. And I was convinced that they were missing something but they were not. I just have severe GERD. As said by jayman panic attacks can produce chest pain or aggravate it.

I am having pain/tightness/tingling in my left upper chest,arm and left rib cage. I have been to ER few times and Cardiologist. Heart and lungs trashed fine. I am a nervous wreck and don't know what else to do.

My husband is 32 years old in great shape and has been having chest pain, upper left back pain, lower abdominal and side pain, and shooting pain down his left arm with some numbness. Hi, How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Were you able to have this checked by your doctor? Chest pain may indeed be due to cardiac or non-cardiac causes such as heart burn. But it is better to rule out cardiac causes first with diagnostic tests like ECG or blood tests. Take care and do keep us posted.

I have pain in my left arm and shoulder with numbness, and pain in my right arm. The chest pain is still the same. I have pain in my jaw, back, neck, and upper ribs. everything you have written on here tells me that. True heart related chest pain is not located on one side or the other on the chest. Pain, if you are having it while resting or sitting in a chair, that is heart related would be caused by a very severe form of heart disease, which would have easily shown up on an EKG. The numbness could be a neck issue. Have you considered seeing a nuerologist? A gastroenterologist? You might want to consider seeing one or both of those two specialists.

AHHH the main question. Is the anxiety causing the chest pain or is the chest pain causing the anxiety. Either way you need a doctor willing to find out.

For 5 years I have suffered with Chest pain that radiates into my back and down both arms during excertion. I have had stress test, heart cathorization, throat and stomach scoped. I've been tested to see if I am having spasms in my esophagus. I went to an orthopedic doctor who performed an mri of my neck and upper back. I did have two disc buldges in my neck but he said that would not cause the pain. The pain stops when I stop the excertion.

till i felt another kind of chest pain it was under my left nipple and only at the end of a deep breath i can say its mild cause it didnt stop me from taking another full breath, the pain wasnt constant, a day i would have it another day i would not or a couple of seconds i would have it and other time i would not. i went to the doc again so he preformed an ekg and the result was normal. he gave me roxonin for the pain.

m now experiencing pains on the left side of my chest, shoulder pain and at times, numbness in my fingers (usually just my left hand, but occasionally the right hand too).
