Avatar n tn About 2 months ago I had an abnormal ekg. I went to the ER two different times with chest pain and had normal ekgs there and my enzymes and Xray was normal. I have weird symptoms like body pain with throbs around my body that either feel like spasms or twitching. I had a normal stress test. have recently had more pains in my chest they are on the left side they are sharp sometimes. I am now worried it could be a heart valve issue. I have a slight cough but not breathing problems.
Avatar n tn My mom, 51, with no medical history but a smoker, recently was seen for a 1-2 day history of chest pain. It was not exertional, but worse when she laid on her left side or took deep breaths. No recent cold or infection. It was right under left breast but she couldn't reproduce it by pressing on it. She had a troponan checked which was normal, CBC normal, and EKG = "nonspecific T waves, can not rule out ischemia".
Avatar m tn ve had hypertension for about a year but my BP is well controlled now. I had an EKG done today and one showed it was normal, and the second copy showed that there may be possible left atrial enlargement with the P waves. My doc said it was nothing to worry about, but I read differently online. Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn When scalene muscle is the cause of pain, the pain is referred to (either all or a combination of) chest, inner lining of scapula (shoulder bone), shoulder, posterior and lateral sides of the arm right up to the thumb and index finger.
Avatar m tn Hi guys. 19 y old m. Relatively healthy the only health problem known is asthma but not sever. I had these chest pains. it first started about 2 months ago with chest heaviness and discomfort but no pain. Then it went to chest as well as the heaviness and the discomfort. Went to GPs they said chest infection and antibiotics didn't work and went back had an EKG and chest x ray and blood test . 4250330 tn?1388621179 i am 17 years old i have anxiety and depression well i went to the doctor this morning for chest pain that has been going on for a couple of months now and 3 days ago it got worse than i had it before when i went to the doctor they did and EKG blood work and chest xray said everything looked fine and said it was muscle spasms and sent me home with motrin and flexiril well 3 hours after i go home they called me back and told me that i had an abnormal EKG that it wasnt serious not to rush into it
Avatar f tn You have an EKG that is within normal limits. Nothing to worry about. Bear in mind that many people with heart problems display a normal EKG except when they are having a problem. That is why a stress EKG or a chemically mediated stress EKG and an ultrasound are recommended when a person is exhibiting symptoms of cardiac malfunction (e.g. shortness of breath, air hunger, chest pain, etc...
Avatar f tn I started experiencing sharp chest pains on the right underside of my left breast, toward the center of my chest. I went into the doctor who performed an EKG and a D-Dimer. Both came back normal and the doctor told me not to worry, she thought it was most likely because I'd been lifting weights and the pain was muscular. A few weeks later the pains went away. A couple months ago (say May): I started experiencing chest pains again, generally in the same area (left breast).
Avatar f tn HELLO......well 2 weeks back ,i had a very bad chest pain, so much that it was difficult for me to stay calm during ECG. MY PULSE that time was 130 per min, but my ECG report was ok, can u tell me what must have happned? i have high BP ALSO.
Avatar f tn But the pain comes and goes and the ER doc said it was a pulled muscle and the EKG showed normal. His cardiologist did EKG and that was normal. He is going for a complete stress test in a few weeks and it might not just be OI but possibly the arteries making him dizzy. Is that the same symptoms as OI. He gets dizzy when standing up too fast or from sitting. But we were wondering what is the painfrom. It's on the left side on the chest part and near the ribcage.
Avatar m tn sent me home and said keep doing what you were doing pain was muscular , talk to your doctor . hes out of town for two weeks.
Avatar f tn I ended up the ER this morning becuase I woke up with back and chest pain. They ran blood work, ekg, chest x-ray and CT scan and all came back fine. They wanted to keep me in all day for a stress test but I decided I shold talk to my Dr first. My Dr referred me to a Cardiologist who I had a an appointment with today. About an hour before my appoinment I got really dizzy and my heart was beating hard and fast, I felt like I was going to pass out.

Avatar n tn I am 59 years old, and had an ekg at my dr's office. She said I had a short PR interval. A year later I had one episode where my HR dropped to 30 beats lower than my norm and I had palpitaitons and chest pain. The ER docs said the EKG showed a flattened T wave,( but said "you had to squint to see it" when they showed my husband the EKG-my husband is also a dr.).
Avatar m tn I have no other symptoms during the episodes other than the pain...no shortness of breath, no pain anywhere else, and normal pulse and BP. About 6 months ago it lasted a few days and I went to the ER. They did blood work, an EKG and chest x-ray and nothing came up. I followed up with my PCP and he had me do more blood work and get an heart echo done. The only issue that came up was that my cholesterol was a little elevated, and he started me on Pravastatin.
Avatar f tn m laying down or sleeping.. The pain is sharp and crushing right in the center of my chest and goes into my back betweeen my shoulder blades.. Doctors can't figure out what this is. ekg, stress test, xrays are all normal. Labs normal. I have high bp and high coloestral..
Avatar n tn I saw a doctor yesterday for chest pain, which I have had all week. The EKG showed anteroseptal infarction-age undetermined. I have been searching for a definition for this term but have yet to find it. I will see a cardiologist next week and have a stress test soon. In the meantime, I would like to know the definition of this term. This is very stressful for me. I am 49 years old, and have never had any heart symptoms until now.
Avatar n tn I am a 23 year old female-nonsmoker/nondrinker/normal BMI who began having chest pain 4 months ago. I believe the pain was initially onset due to stress (I was switching jobs at the time). Stress is gone (went back to old job) but pain remains: blood test (hepatitis, h pylori), EKG, gall bladder/liver function, echo cardio/stress are all normal. I have been treated with arthritis medication for costocondritis and been perscribed both prilocec and nexium with no help.
352470 tn?1207296398 the pain in the arm seems to be in the bicep and forearm, this can last longer than the pain in the chest. When the chest pain hits its intense, I cant breath in because it hurts so bad, is this what you are having? If not can anyone help me.
Avatar n tn ve had some pain in my upper left and right chest area at different times and not lasting long. The pain is not bad and it doesn't last long and it is usually accompanied with belching or gas. I also have a history of asthma too. Any idea of what might be causing this pain since initial test seem to rule out cardiac problems. No one in my family has a history of cardiac problems either.
Avatar f tn My husband (who is 38) had bad chest pain a few weeks ago that lasted about 15 minutes. For a week or two after that he noticed that he had intermittent tachycardia. He went to his doctor to get checked out. The doctor did some blood work and an EKG and said everything was fine except for some mildly elevated liver enzymes. He repeated the liver enzyme test 2 weeks later and the liver enzymes have gone down some but are still slightly elevated (AST:45, ALT:75).
Avatar f tn i needed an EKG Chest X-ray and blood work panel for a gynocological surgery. I had it taken earlier this week. The chest xray and blood panel were fine. the EKG came back abnormal. saying "borderline 1st degree av block right atrial enlargement consider left atrial enlargement nonspecific t waves" I went to my PCP and they said these are "vague" readings and could mean problems or could mean nothing.
Avatar f tn When you get chest pains, make sure to take an extra strength aspirin just in case. I myself get chest pains and have normal EKG. EKG will show if there is anything going on and an echocardiogram will show how your heart it working. Some symptoms when having a heart attack are chest pains, pain in the arm, sick to your stomach, sometimes the back even shakes or vibrates. You may want to ask your doctor about an echocardiogram if only just to put your mind at ease.
Avatar n tn i have previously had to go to the emergency room and i had an ekg done (which came back normal). i had chest xrays and they were normal as well. just wondering why i'm having these horrible chest pains and if i should be concerned....
Avatar f tn I am diagnosed with Costochondritis and I get very bad chest pains, with pains in my upper ribs and up to my jaw. Everything came out normal EKG, bloodwork, chest x-ray, etc. I am on pain medications that are not working. I will be getting a cortisone injection in my chest eventually. I have Costochondritis for almost 2 months now. I also had 5 episodes of trouble breathing and pressure in my chest. In fact, I woke up at 2 in the morning on Thursday and I had trouble breathing.
