I have this tightness in my chest i kno its mucus but i dont have a cough or cold it hurts when i try to take a deep breath ive never had chest congestion before im not coughing up blood or anything like that. ive been using my asthma pump because when i was younger i had trouble with asthma it helps clearing my airways so i can breath easier but it comes back after awhile. The mucus coming from chest is a creamy pale green. I also have constant mucus in my throat also of a creamy consistency but not as green and sometimes clear to whitish. I believe both of my lymph nodes in my neck are swollen and hurt. Ears are bothersome also. It hurts to touch my forehead around eyebrows and area around bridge of nose hurts also. Sinus pressure headache present. If I barely press on my eyes they hurt.

ALL OF A SUDDEN this evening my throat became scratchy, then I developed a cough and runny nose. After a few hours I could hear congestion in my chest. After a few cups of hot team with honey, lemon and a little brandy i spit up a greenish color mucus that eventually turned clear. t think coughing and chest congestion is part of it. It is cold and flu season so maybe you have a cold? I could be wrong though.

It is day three, the congestion has turned into off in on congestion with a runny nose when not congested, a consistent cough with me trying to get the mucus out of my chest, to a dry cough.

By next morning I had congestion there. I also had a thick creamy like mucus coming from my nose. I always have nasal congestion but this was worse. Hello all, for about a month now I have had a cough with chest congestion, sometimes it's productive, sometimes it's not, and I cough up green and yellow sputum. I also have nasal congestion and when I blog my nose it's green mucus. The symptoms actually seem to go away late night and return a while after I wake up. I have had no fever and no other symptoms.

A couple of days ago, I contract something outside and the next day, I began having serious chills, stuffy nose, chest feeling stuffy, etc. Then the next day, it got worse (and yes, I took medicine for flu/cold) with coughing up (I'm presuming) some bloody mucus several times (it's more like a rust color), dry coughing mostly, severe chest congestion (Robatusson {sp?} doesn't work), and severe congestion in my nose.
After being on Copaxone for 3 months I developed difficulty breathing and severe chest congestion and it will not go away even after taking broad spectrum antibiotics. My dr. denies any connection with Copaxone. But it is the only thing that has changed in my life - taking Copaxone injections. Has anyone heard of a link.
Did 2 complete antibiotic regemes... finally had a chest xray since I was still coughing and the doc cough hear congestion in both sides of mylungs. Three weeks later and I still have this night wheezing and sensation in the lower lungs which is loud enough to wake me... and my husband. I had a cold from 02/17 - 02/26 and then I got another cold from 03/03 - 03/16. Symptoms of my cold were runny nose, cough and congestion. Every morning I would spit out green phlegm and afterwards it would be clear. Has anybody check your sinuses? I have polyps in my sinus which cause congestion and post nasal drip. I'm running to the bathroom frequently to cough up mucus from my throat. You could try using a neti pot and see if your symptoms will improve at all. Acid reflux is also capable of giving you a sore throat and cough.
