For last 1 1/2 weeks my chest has a pain in the center. Notice in the morning after laying down and when I swallow I feel pain. I had a cold/flu approx. 6 weeks ago and was able to function after about 2 days. However, I have had a persistent cough that never seem to go away. Its not all the time once I am up in the morning it eleveates for the most part but annoying. I have recently started on ibuprophen and it helps a little. I do not feel like I have congestion.

I'm having Left Side Chest Pain Continuously For 4 Days.Not Heart related(ECG report ok). It Increases If I Turn Left And Goes Away Almost 95% If I Turn Right.I Had Lung Infection 2 Months Ago (Treated). Breathing Does Not Effect It.But it pains quite a lot.I Had cold the day before it started.doctor said some muscle or rib growth may be causing the pain. He gave me painkillers.But my pain did not go away a bit.I had them just once today.

I have also been geeting really bad heart burn i believe, or what could be a severe burning sensation in my chest. My breathing has also changed in the past month and it seems that i struggle to breath. My doctors say i suffer from anxiety but i think its something else. Any ideas??

What it feels like is the chronic post nasal drip I have has caused congestion in my upper chest. However, the weird part is, I really have no cough, and the occasional cough has never brought anything up. In the past, if my chest begins to feel this way, it is followed by the painful cough and coughing stuff up. I would not call what I have sometimes as pain, it feels more like irritation. I advise to consult with a doctor for testing to find cause, I know when I have chest congestion or post nasal drip, I'm always clearing tons of clear mucus from my system, feel like I'm drowning in mucus sometimes. But get checked out by a doctor, for proper diagnoses and treatments.

My primary symptoms are now excessive belching, chest congestion in the sternum area, and sometimes some warmth in the lower throat area. I am carefully monitoring the weight loss, which my be due to my change in diet. I am planning on continuing the Prilosec for two more weeks. I just thought my symptoms were allergy/sinus related. Now with the heartburn, chest pain, and right abdominal pain, I am really worried. I didn't know until recently that long-term GERD could cause Barrett's Esophagus/Cancer. I don't really have painful swallowing or anything like that. I don't have trouble swallowing, except sometimes I feel like there are tiny pieces of food at the entrance of my throat, but isn't bothersome.

Yeah I get heartburn and its a different feeling unusually get heartburn in the evenings it just feels like I've pulled a muscle since years ago I strained the right side of my chest, thanks for your comment though :) :)

Is it possible to have Acid Reflux (GERD) without having acidity or heartburn? I have been very fatigued, gagging and just run-down with constance acid back-up to my tongue leaving a white film. I've been told by 3 doctors that it is Acid Reflux, but it doesn't follow the standard set og problems I read about on-line.
