Avatar f tn I was taking Depakote, Lithium, and Propranolol. I have been off my meds for almost 3 months because I lost my insurance. I want to stop smoking. Since I am struggling with my moods due to lack of meds, I am very concerned about how the nicotine withdrawals if I were to quit cold turkey. Any suggestions? From my research I have found that Chantix is definitely not an option for me.

Avatar f tn I'm 23, married and my parents insurance did cover the costs of my OB bills all I had to pay was the deductible and whatever out of pocket costs that they can make you pay for I think I paid around 3000 all together and the rest was covered but it may be different with different insurances
Avatar f tn My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 6 years. We finally got pregnant (our miracle baby) I'm about 6 weeks and NO insurance. Deadline for coverage was Feb 15th. Any recommendations for insurance or ideas Thank you.
Avatar f tn Hep C is pre-existing condition for any individual policy, however on group insurance it is not. So if you get insurance through a comapny even after being diagnosed you should be okay.
Avatar f tn Call them again and tell them you need insurance coverage immediately due to pregnancy. You can not be denied. Don't let them send you in circles!
1284791 tn?1271994267 As far as I know, IVF is offered only thorugh group insurance coverage. We delayed seeking fertility treatment in order to get our insurance worked out first. My husband and I formed our own husband/wife group (he owns his own business, I went to work for him, he pays employee taxes on me). Our accountant helpd us with the paperwork. After we set all of this up we applied for group coverage. We did this in order to get maternity coverage, which is otherwise unavailble in Texas.
Avatar f tn I read a few of you mentioning in other posts about 100% insurance coverage which sounds great. Based on the insurance I have right now, I pay Upto 3000 out of pocket for my entire pregnancy and after paying 3000 my insurance pays 90% of any additional expense after that. So my question is, which insurance covers 100% of pregnancy cost. Thank you.
443006 tn?1229201842 Has anyone had experience with Fibrospect test being denied insurance coverage? I have PERS Blue Cross and my insurance is refusing to cover the test, saying it was not medically necessary or appropriate. I am a G-2b and did not have a biopsy since I had planned on being treated regardless of stage of liver damage. I've been fighting with my insurance about this for six months. Any suggestions from anyone?

Avatar f tn I just got a new job 2 weeks ago and my fiances insurance wont cover my pregnancy. Any help on what other options I have?
Avatar f tn My son was recently in a car accident. He is ok but so far has missed 6 days of work and will not be cleared for work by the doc for at least another week, The driver of the car was insured- but he was arrested at the scene for DUI. My question is, can we expect the driver's insurance co to cover my son's medical expenses and lost wages?
Avatar f tn I think I found an answer to my question on the COBRA web site: "Pre-existing conditionsSome health insurance companies cut their costs by invoking something called a "pre-existing condition" clause. The notion of a pre-existing condition makes sense when you're talking about car insurance: your windshield was cracked before you bought your coverage, so you can't expect the insurance company to replace it once your policy is in force.
Avatar f tn If you have lets say BCBS and a prescription coverage is the covered? Medication for treatment?
Avatar f tn I, too, smoked for over 40 years. Between that and severe acid reflux, I had built up excess tissue on my vocal cords, to the point that I could hardly talk. I'd gotten to the point that it was so painful to even make sound that I tried not to talk as much as possible. I was sent to an ENT, who said he could remove that tissue (it wasn't cancer, but he was sure it would be soon), but he wouldn't touch me until I had quit smoking for 2 months.
Avatar m tn It may be too late to try and continue coverage via COBRA since the insurance co. said your insurance ended 12/31, but you could look into it and see if there is any way to continue the coverage. http://cobrainsurance.com/COBRA_FAQ.htm#How long must COBRA continuation coverage be available to a qualified beneficiary? Others on the forum may know more about this type of situation than I do.
903660 tn?1252977130 I ended up contacting Human Resources at my company and asking them. Good news, as long as I had previous insurance(at least 10 months of coverage, which I do), they can not deny me for any reason...even pre-existing conditions, like pregnancy! So, I will make an appointment sooner and feel comfortable knowing I will be covered no matter what!
714288 tn?1243254191 If you have had major medical coverage for 1 full year with no break and can provide certification of creditable coverage no group policy can deny you coverage for any pre-existing illness. If you have not had coverage for one year, depending on the group plan's eligibility and coverage limitations they would most likely tack on a 6-month Pre-exiting condition limitation.
Avatar n tn You will cause a computer blip, which will cause your insurance coverage to be reviewed. These situations are like throwing a hand grenade into an empty cement mixer. Maybe the pin will come out and maybe it won't. The best thing to do with insurance companies is to stay off the radar screen.
427279 tn?1210919821 i was just wondering if any one here uses chantix and is it helping you?....
