Common Questions and Answers about Chantix how long to take
chantix
how long does it take to get nicotine out of your system & is there anything you can do to help speed up the progress? How long can nicotine be detected with a saliva test ?
I agree, Chantix is an amazing tool to help kick the habit. I have only known one person who wasn't able to quit using Chantix and by her own admission she was not ready. Even my FIL who had been a heavy smoker for over 40 years quit with Chantix and hasn't looked back.
As a smoker myself, I know how hard it is to quit. I've done it before for long periods of time and know it can be done. I wish you all the luck in the world. Be strong and what wonderful advice you have been given by those in this forum. Lots of luck.
This is going on the 2nd full day of no Chantix but I am still feeling depressed. I want to know howlong does it stay in your system for. I woke up today and felt close to normal and then it came back again. I had depression 16 years ago, which started off with post pardom depression that lead into severe depression which this is feeling way too familiar to that and I do NOT want to go through that again.

He said i can have his month and half worth but i dont think a month and half is long enough totake it. So i was going to get it prescribed to me. But before I do i was wondering if there are any rating of it from you all?
I am ready to quit, and noticed you said you took Chantix. would you recommend this pill? Howlong after being on Chantix did you actually stop smoking? I was prescribed bupropian, and wonder if maybe Chantix would be better.
OH! I almost forgot to ask, ALSO- howlong does it take for Chantixto get into your system and start rejecting the nicotine?? I swear, it's only been two days, and it's already working! but, I could be wrong..
When do the withdrawal symptoms from the nicotine actually go away?
I'm going to play the devils advocate here and ask you how you know that Chantix caused all of your problems?
You ailments may be coincindental and there are plenty of people who have problems at your age who have never taken the drug. I used Chantix and quit with it after nearly 2 months on it. I am 54 and had no problems at all.
I have noticed complaints about the "during and aftermath" of Chantix but no one can definitively link it to the drug.
Chantix isn't supposed to be given to anyone with previous psych. issues. A friend of mine didn't disclose this to her new GP. After a month of taking the Chantix, she ended up in hospital for 2 weeks, highly suicidal and having swings. She refuses to acknowledge that she has BP though and blames it solely on the Chantix.
Sorry it took me so longto get back to you. Its been a long weekend. The first time I took the chantix I forgot to eat and I did get sweaty and a little bit of nausea. But I have eaten everytime Ive taken it from then on and not had any real sx from it. so far I am on day 4.. this is my first day of taking 2 pills so I will let you know in the morning. lol..
Im going to look up the sx I know theres 144 of them. I just want to stop smoking.
i don't know what to suggest to you. i do know that this drug is absolutely over prescribed. i don't know what percentage of the population experiences extremely negative reactions to this drug...but i do know that there are a large number of bad stories related to it. my opinion of chantix is that it should be last resort, not front line treatment. for some people chantix makes the addiction less than what it is without chantix...it makes it easier to quit.
ve been a smoker for 40+ years also and after stopping Chantix I started getting night sweats, not able to sleep for more than 4 or 5 hours a night waking up sweating , tired & unable to go back to sleep.
I too have migraines and have not had a problem until I started taking the Chantix to quit smoking. I am at the point that I will try other methods before I will continue totake the Chantix. Because I cannot function with my head pounding like this.
