Avatar f tn I started a new birth control in December and I noticed that I am getting these red blotches and bumps on my neck and arms. Could this be a side effect of it?
Avatar n tn 25 norgestimate) and had very regular periods. What next? Clomid to stimulate ovulation? Clomid followed by estrogen? BCP to reset the cycle? I'm having difficulties communicating with my doctor and will be seeing a new one soon. But in the meantime I would really like to know your opinion. Thank you!

Avatar f tn I hust started a new pack of birth control pills this month. I used to take tri-lo-sprintec tablet generic for (ortho tri-cyclen LO) for the past 6 six years, but in Michigan we do not have it in generic form anymore. Therefore this month i started taking Eth estradi/norgestimate and I feel very lazy and sleepy all the time and I see that I have been gaining weight. My question is is what I am taking now the same as what I was taking before because that is what the pharmacy told me?
Avatar f tn I'd wait. Sure you could have gotten pregnant but the pills make your period odd the first month. Technically it is supposed to start the week of placebos but mine always started around the first day of the missed pack. You can always test but I'd wait two weeks from the sex to test (as it typically takes two weeks from conception in order to show up on test) and you should get your period between there.
Avatar n tn we had sex about a week after i changed my pill to the desogestrel pill.
Avatar f tn 15 mg, and i was supposed to start my 7 day pill free yesterday, but i forgot to, instead i started with my next strip of pill yesterday.. what should i suppose to do? should i stop taking the pill for the next 6 days and i will have my period in days or should i continue taking the pill for another 20 days?
Avatar f tn Now since 2 weeks I also have mucus in my stool and I get very worried. I also take thyroid medication for Hashimoto and Desogestrel all the time for the Endometriosis. It would be great if anyone could help me. I went by the doctor already though they tell me to just eat healthy, which I do since 7 years now.
Avatar n tn t have a period for 3 months. When I went back to the doctor they said that maybe the new pill was too strong for me, and they switched it again. I had a period for the first two months on this third pill and now I have stopped getting my period again. I took three pregnancy tests and they have all came up negative. What could be the problem? Could it be that my body cannot tolerate the pill?
Avatar n tn In male reason for infertility are related to sperm (azoospermia, oligospermia), problem with sperm delivery, due to sexual dysfunction, and an obstruction etc. Hence complete work up has to be done to know the underlying cause. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm eighteen and recently got my wisdom teeth taken out so I had to take anti-biotics for a week and the doctor told me if would interfere with my oral contraceptives, Sprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol tablets, 0.250 mg/0.035 mg). I got the antibiotics at the same time as I started my new pack of birth control and took them both for the first week of my cycle, and I used protection until the next week when my antibiotics ran out (because, of course, things happen).
Avatar f tn But the doctors are saying that is not acne that is rosecea, I so confused and in reality I am going crazy totally crazy. I am suffering from depression due to this which in reality before I used the exfoliating pads I never had anything on my skin. Horrible!!!
Avatar n tn i have Grains preventing name marvilon 28 for 6 month after that i started to try to get pregnant again, its been 4 years that i have been trying and nothing. does this mean that i will not be able to conceive another child?? if there is any thing i can do let me know please. i cant afford invitro or any of those things, so thats out of the question. is it possible that i am no longer ovulating? i do get my periods every month, is it possible to get your period and not be ovulating?
Avatar n tn Also, just out of curiosity if the birth control pill protects from pregnancy straight away, why do most brands advise to use a backup method for the first 7 days?
Avatar f tn Thank You so much for the information on changing from paxil to celexa. That helps tremendously. I see my Dr. on Tuesday and was not sure if I sure change immediately from one to the other. I will taper of as you suggested. Thanks again...
Avatar f tn I have been addicted to XANAX. ITs the harderst benzo to get off of and the easiest to become addicted to. Yes it works the best but can be HELL mentally and physically to get off of. Take with caution and NEVER take more than perscrebed. Best to take as needed if possible. KLONOPIN is good for me.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am 29 yo considering OC to help hormonal imbalance (not so much pregnancy prevention). I have cystic acne along my jawline. I have been using spironolactone 50mg daily about a year. Overall, it's improved about 50%, but will worsen during pre-mentraul flare ups. However, my derm is hesitant about increasing my dose and suggested adding on OC. Any reccomendation on what estrogen/progestin combo to try for acne?
Avatar n tn I know this is all pretty tough without insurance...but my advice to you is to get in to see a doctor as soon as you can (you can start with a general practioner/family doctor)...explain your past history and the medication you were on. Obviously, you will also need to discuss cost being an issue without insurance. I can tell you from first hand experience that Lexapro is a very pricey medication...and there ARE other options out there that would be more cost effective for you.
