About a week ago I got some kind of infection in my foot I'm not sure if it's staph infection or if it's a spider bite and waiting on the culture to come back but in the meantime the infection has spread and it my whole left leg started swelling and since then I swear I can feel something moving and it it is all the way up my body now up into my stomach there's a big old knot is visible you can see it am I going crazy. Am I going crazy my chest is tight and hurts.
If it's what I think it maybe I get them, on my inner thighs and sometimes around my trouser line.
Hello, yes it is possible it could be a bite. It could also be GOUT which generally starts in the big toe, or cellulitis which is inflammation of the cells in a particular area. You probably need to get it checked because treatment is available to help decrease the swelling and pain, and all the conditions can be very painful. Prolonged swelling in an area can also cause decreased circulation making additional problems for you to have to deal with. I Hope This Helps!

Wash the bite with warm soapy water.
Apply some diluted hydrogen peroxide (mix ½ water with ½ peroxide).
Wash off the peroxide after two minutes.
Apply an over-the-counter antibiotic ointment.

Can you see a doctor? It could be ringworm, cellulitis, a bite from a spider or something else, but the fact that it's getting bigger definitely merits getting medical care. If you can't get in to your regular doctor or a dermatologist, maybe try one of those urgent care places.
Actually I do have a little experience with the subject since I spent 4 days in the hospital after a bug bite turned unto cellulitis, which is an infection that develops between the dermis and epidermis layers of the skin, and has a chance of spreading to the blood very easily. I don't imagine they put all of those IV antibiotics in me just for fun.

In the middle of July I took my son to urgent care for a huge red area on his neck. The doctor could see a bite mark, said it was either a tick or spider bite. She ordered amoxicillin for a week which cleared it right up and he was fine for about a month. At the end of August he started with vague complaints, headache abdominal pain achy muscles. Then he started with a swollen lymph node in his groin severe abdominal pain and high fevers.
Went to the doctor who said it was a spider bite and put me on an antihistimine, quarter zone and a strong dose of antibiotics for 3 days. Its now itchy and sometimes I feel like tingling feeling. Its still very red and swollen in the mornings and evenings but during the day seems to deceive me and looks better. I"ve kept it clean and tomorrow is the last day of antibiotics and quarter zone etc. How long does this last?
So sorry to hear about the bite- sounds painful! I would get to the doctor- like AnnieBrooke mentioned. If it's not going away and getting worse, definitely time to seek some medical care on that one. Feel better!
