Avatar m tn Oooh, this is interesting, Susie; I wonder if something has changed recently. I know some patient assistance programs in the past have stated they’ll deny assistance to insured, but on appeal they often will. Traditionally, both Roche and Schering Plough have provided assistance to uninsured as well as underinsured.

Avatar n tn I know cellcept is a class D drug, and discussed my concern with my doctor. She said that patient on cellcept have had successful pregnancies, even though she legally would have to tell me that it is not recomended because of the class D warning, but she didn't seem overly concerned about the fact that I want to get pregnant someday. I'm 26 years on and married, and not ready to give up hope of having my own child.
428886 tn?1217682034 Is anyone going through the Roche patient assistance program? All my paperwork is in to them. I was wondering how long it takes them to send out the medication once approved.

Avatar f tn Yup, the meds are relatively pricey. The phone numbers listed are patient assistance programs sponsored by the manufacturers. They are income based as opposed to asset based; and will probably ask for last years federal tax forms to confirm income. They are actually fairly generous; they don’t require a patient to be indigent to qualify for help. Ask the doctor for Rx information, and then give them a call to see where you fall financially.
Avatar n tn Hi, Usually Herceptin is administered every 3 weeks for a period of one year, but.treatments vary according to the stage the cancer is discovered, as well as location and overall health of the patient.Your Oncologist would be able to answer your question since he/she would have all information and test results relevant to your specific situation. The cost of this medication is very steep, but I hope your insurance will cover it or at least cover part of it.
Avatar f tn I am going through a county program for the health care part and then I went through Pegassist for the injections and meds. The health care program I am in is a 2 year program and it is for the county I live in in CO.

Avatar m tn Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797 Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157 The assistance is income rather than asset based; give them a call and see if they can provide help. Avatar f tn Try a university teaching hospital. They have supplied the blood work, biopsy, cat scans, ultrasounds, and occasional 'doctor' visit (usually a resident) and arranged via Genetech (formally Roche) Patient Assistance Program for the primary treatment drugs plus, a secondary drug from Amgen. While it has had it's drawbacks, like poor communication, it's all been free care. Let us hope this might be a path open to you. All the very best.
Avatar f tn that affected my legs so my Dr. just prescribed Cellcept. I filled the prescription yesterday and was scared to death after reading the literature on it. What is PPMS? I will be interested in seeing if anyone has used this medication too. Sunnyb.
