cellcept

Avatar f tn m still waiting to receive the Cellcept from my mail order drug fulfillment vendor. I just wish it would get here so I could start. Patience is not one of my strongest virtues.
Avatar n tn I know cellcept is a class D drug, and discussed my concern with my doctor. She said that patient on cellcept have had successful pregnancies, even though she legally would have to tell me that it is not recomended because of the class D warning, but she didn't seem overly concerned about the fact that I want to get pregnant someday. I'm 26 years on and married, and not ready to give up hope of having my own child.

Almost at the same time( 2months back) I suffered from maleria also. Since then SGOT and SGPT are gradually rising from normal level, and they are now 69 and 46 level( normal range is 4) and rose to 3.2 almost one month back but it goes down to 2.3 now. What could be reason?

645800 tn?1466860955 You have a lot going on-I am sorry you are having to go through all of this. Cellcept is a wonderful drug but with every wonderful drug there are some down sides sometimes. I hope you start seeing the upside very soon! Many thoughts coming to you from Kansas!
Avatar f tn The doctor says he proposes to take my mother off CellCept altogether at some point in time and only PanGraaf will be needed for the whole life - in the meantime the doctor may prescribe CellCept in on / off basis.
Avatar n tn Your immunosuppressive agents There are also drug interactions between Cyclosporine A (CsA) and INCIVEK when administered. So Cyclosporine must be reduced to 1/10 of its current dosage. Also a medicine like cellcept could be an issue too. Your treating doctor will tell you all this. Talk to you hepatologist and find out what the plan is for you treating your recurrent hepatitis C. Good luck. Glad to hear you are 7 months post and on the road to recovery post transplant.
Avatar f tn Anyone on cellcept having back pain? I've been having back pain for a couple of weeks now, wake up earlier and earlier in the morning with my back aching and when I move it I get these stabbing pains. It all goes away when I get up, and I've managed to sleep a bit in the morning in a half-seated position, so it's really related to lying down. I just read someplace that cellcept can cause back pain, but I haven't been able to find any info on what kind of pain. Could this be it?
1135761 tn?1260557094 my doctors have reduced my cellcept in half. 1000 mg 2x day to 500 mg 2x day. they said my symptoms are common and reducing the cellcept should help. any comment?
Avatar f tn My husband had a liver transplant on Aug.5th - and has been **** well. Today he broke out in hives all over his head. He is itching terribly - and the 2nd Benadryl hasn't helped. He is on Cellcept, prograf, and is in a clinical trial (so we don't really know what the extra meds are). Should we be concerned???
Avatar f tn Okay hears the deal I was put on prednison when I was 17yrs old along with imuran, now i know the effects of prednison obviouly, it being a steroid there usually are some weight gain and moon face etc as common side effects. Now I'm 19yrs old and they have me on cellcept. I have always been extremely active even to due to my fatigue but I cannot loose a pound, I will work out 24-7 and change my diets often to see if anything changes and...nothing.
Avatar n tn when you say adding some cellcept might be a good idea, does that include trying to lower my prograf some?
Avatar m tn and have been on Mestinon 240 mgs daily and cellcept 2000mg daily.I am a healthy 68 yr. old.Just lately I/m noticing cold, sensitive toes and and sciattiaca or nerve pain on complete right side, shoulder, hip to toes on 1 leg only,But both feet have red swollen toes. Drug side effects?
Avatar f tn I take Cellcept for 2 and a half year. How long will last taking of this medicine because my hair and stomack can't stand it any more?
Avatar m tn It would have been easier if you told us which drugs are of concern to you. There are a number of drugs that are listed as 'potential', meaning not everyone is affected, perhaps as little/much as 20% which I did not list below. A lot depends on current health status and associated drugs/medicines currently taken as some drugs cause interactions with other drugs which can raise glucose levels.
Avatar n tn i think the Dr wants to start, cellcept and eliminate diazapam nd steroids....after having such relief finally, after so long.. I am afraid. Also of the side effects of cellcept and having massive pain returned. But which side effects are going to be worse? Preds or cellcept. I will research and let you know,. There are other drugs, but with heart and clogged arteries, i am not a candidate... Hang in there. Advil helps. Tons of it, Percocet if you can find a Dr who will write it,.....
Avatar f tn When that happens, the doctor increases PanGraf / Cellcept dosage and a particular steroid (wysolone). After that the enzymes go back to normal - except GGT which goes down but still remains well above normal (say, falls from 1800 to 300).
Avatar n tn My meds have slowly been reduced. At first I was on prednisone, prograf and cellcept. I was off both the pred and cellcept by 8 months. The trough level for prograf changes the further out you get from your transplant. Seeing that .5mg is the capsule of prograf they make, I assume it's the lowest dosage possible. It's always 12 hours apart since it doesn't have a long half life. I pushed to get off the meds as quickly as was safely possible. Why take more than we need ?
Avatar f tn I have Auto immune hepatitis aswell and primary biliary cirrosis. I was on Azathioprine for two years but when my blood counts went up and I was to take 50mg morning and night, my body did not react well to the drug, so was put on Mercaptopurine. This was devestating and I started to go to liver failure. I am not on Cellcept which is Mycophenolate Mofetil 1g morning and 1g night. This is a fantastic immunposuppressant.
Avatar n tn i have been taking azathiorprine for my crohns for 3 years now,my consultant has asked my local gp to take over the monitoring of my blood tests ect but he has refused because the drug is unlicensed!what does this mean?and is azathiorprine safe to use?.
Avatar m tn Should the transplant team/doctor monitor liver transplant patients taking cellcept post liver transplant over time? Is there a significant threat of cellcept causing lymphoma?
Avatar f tn The latest drug they want me to try is CellCept which is used in transplant patients to decrease rejection. Now I have also been trying to have children, and with this drug I absolutely cannot get pregnant, as it causes major birth defects. Also I have a giant increase in risk of cancer, and sickness. My question is.... has anyone had success taking this drug, and being able to taper off with no recurrence of symptoms?
