I also take 05 mg klonopin with clexa in the morning and I feel the klonopin helps more than the celexa with anxiety. that being said I am slowly weaning off the celexa very slowly and see if the klonopin will be enough. the jaw clenching especially at night is not fun. We are all different and hope it works for u!

Hi. I take 60 mg of Celexa per day for depression. I also take Klonopin, .5 3 times a day for anxiety. I have Generalized Anxiety disorder which really surfaced a year ago after major surgery. I would ask your new doc about Klonopin. Docs seem to like it because it has a long half life. It is addicting, but my doc seems to think it is safer. I am not sure, but know it seems to work for me. As for side effects, I really haven't had any from either.

I have been on 40mg's of celexa for about 8 month's now and also 1mg a day of klonopin each day. I recently tried cutting from 40 to 20 mg's of the celexa to get myself off of it and was having such a weird feeling like my head was sinking in. I then started taking 40mg's again and tried stopping the klonopin that did not work! I was having such panic attacks without the klonopin once I took it it made a world of a difference.

i switched from lexapro to celexa about 3 weeks ago due to insurance. i was on 20 mg of lex for a month and im on 40mg of celexa for 3 weeks along with .05 klonopin in the morning when my anxiety is at its highest. in my opinion i dont feel like the celexa even touches my anxiety thats why i take the klonopin with it in the morning! I dont know if maybe i need to give more time for the celexa to work even if i was on lexapro before it for 3 weeks?

hey all i have been on celexa 40 mg for a month or so after swithcing from lexapro 20 mg for a month due to insurance. i also take in 05 mg of clonazapam with my celexa in the morning when i most anxious. i feel like the celexa just doesnt help alone with anxiety. i feel guilty sometimes haveing to take 2 meds but that being said i think the clonazepam works best! i heear so many bad stories about klonopin but i am taking a small dose and i am aware of the addictive quality so im catious.

You may feel a few side effects in the beginning like tiredness from the Klonopin and maybe a little nausea from the Celexa. Try not to worry about those because they usually go away. Once the Celexa kicks in and gets in to your system you may not even need the Klonopin any more. Many of the antidepressants like Celexa work on both anxiety and depression.

I have taken Celexa 20mg with Klonopin with excellent results. Normally your doctor wants to wait 4-6 weeks to see if the 20 mg does the job for you, and if not he will increase the dosage. This is how long it takes for the Celexa or any anti-depressant to reach therapeutic level. You will be able to wean off the Klonopin, once your anti-depressant starts working, but I continued on both, and still take the Klonopin with Citolopram.

hello all i have been on 40mg celexa and .05 klonopin for a few months now. I feel that the ssri doesnt relly touch the anxiety ,and without the klonopin i would still be anxious! Does anyone get anxiety relief from there ssri alone? i know many people take 2 or more meds and I just wanted to know if im on the right track. any input would be great!

I just started 20 mg of generic Celexa (3 days ago) and the doc also gave me Ambien and Klonopin (take .25mg) to relieve the anxiety until the Celexa kicks in. I wake up shaky/hot and kind of panicky. Which drug is this from drugs, or is it still the anxiety. I know this takes time, but I don't want to mess with any drugs that might be making the symptoms worse (i.e Klonopin or Ambien). I also don't want to become dependent on the Klonopin and ambien either.

I am ok for a while then all of a sudden boom there goes a panic attack! I am on celexa and klonopin which has helped me a lot. my physician put me on celexa, inderal, klonopin and trazadone. with celexa alone i have rage attacks, when she added klonopin to the regime i got migraines hence the inderal. The trazadone was added to help me sleep (i was averaging 1-2 hrs a night). i wanted to sleep all the time and could not stay awake. After a few months of this i decided something need to change, doctor switched klonopin with lithium and stopped the inderal and trazadone.

Lucky for me I had no problem at all getting off the Effexor. I did it on my own. I took out about ten grains every day for the first the first week, 20 grains each day the second week and so on. It was a capsule and it took patience and good eyesight. I had no withdrawal whatsoever. I took 1mg of klonopin 2x a day for panic disorder with GAD. It worked great. When I tried lowering the Klonopin my panic attacks returned. I think menopause has a lot to do with it.

once the klonopin kicks in i feel better. i just dont feel like the celexa touches my anxiety and without the klonopin my anxiety wouldnt go away. does anyone have hightened anxiety in the morning? is there any ssri's that work better than others for anxiety or is taking 2 meds kinda protocol? thanks for any input!

My question now is, can I take one of these low dose Xanax today? I started the Celexa last night and took 1 mg Klonopin to sleep. I just want to feel normal again.

I have a question is anyone just on klonopin for panic? I feel it's a wonder medication. I was on celexa and klonopin a little over a year now. I stopped the celexa I felt it wasn't doing much. The withdrawals from that were out of control! Something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. So I decided just to got o my primary care doctor for desperate help he was the only 1 around that day. He put me on Cymbalta I took it for a week 30mg's and for 2 days I took 60mg's.

I been on 40mg of celexa and 1 mg a day of klonopin for almost a year now due to panic attacks. Which helped me a great deal. I decided to wean myself off of celexa and I did it very gradually and the correct way according to my doctor. I stopped taking it almost a week ago. I been going through absolute torture! I never experienced something like this before.

I got backfrom doctor today. She is tapering me off my zoloft (finish my half .25 for the rest of this week, then .25 everyother day for a week then off). Also tapering me off .50 klonopin (with added buspar during tapering). Half klonipin 3 times a day with added buspar for two weeks then half klonopin 2x/day for two weeks with added buspar (I don't have the dosages for buspar in front of me), then 1x/day klonipin for two weeks, then off. Any comments or advice out there.

I have been taking celexa (20 mg) for two weeks for anxiety with Klonopin just when I need it. I don't like the way the celexa is making me feel. Do you think I will have any side effects only taking it for two weeks if I stop?

After a stressfull april, I thought may was going well, things were lookin up, Out of the, blue though last thurs the 3rd, as I was sitting watching tv suddenly I couldn't breathe well, heart was racing, arms hurt. Went to e.r.and nothing was wrong. Ever since then, everyday I am,functionless,, all I do is cry, head burns, arms burn , heart races. I can't even take care of my 11yr old properly. My husband has had to stay home and is runnin out of time.

What i noticed with the xanax is it brough more intense relief but with that I could notice abrubt differences of being on or off of it. With Klonopin it slowly came on and slowly wore off. I take Vistaril for anxiety and sometimes I will split a .5 Klonopin if my anxiety is really bothering me. The Vistaril increase the sedating effect of the Klonopin so that is why I probably haven't had to take an entire dose of it.

We all respond differently to these types of medications, and what one experiences may not be what another does. I take Celexa and Klonopin with excellent results. There is a period of adjustment when starting an antidepressant, and it takes 4-6 weeks to feel the full benefit of it. Hope this helps and take care!

5mg/day) Should I be taking the Celexa in the morning with my pancake or should I take the klonopin to calm myself down then take the Celexa with some food later? I guess what I am trying to figure out is if the Celexa is making my anxiety worse by taking it during my morning anxiety attack.. If anyone has some experience with this, I would love to hear from you.. I did try to bump up the Celexa to 5mg yesterday and had an upset tummy..

they even threaten to pull my take homes because of it once...the celexa not a problem my concirn lyes with the clonipine ......people take benzos with methadone but it can turn into a deadly combo without notice....I guess your allright if your body is tolerating it but you might just want to ask your doctor about it...............
