Celexa side effects dreams

Common Questions and Answers about Celexa side effects dreams

221913 tn?1372280261 My quick withdrawal was via a consultant - maybe they don't always know best - and if they know the side-effects should at least tell us! So here's to you and me feeling better very quickly!
Avatar n tn My doctor started me on it in the hosptital for severe depression. I had stomache pain, tiredness and other unpleasant side-effects. It was hard to tell which drug was causing the problems as I was on 12 different things for depression and interstitial cystitis. I kept telling the psychiatrist I couldn't take all those pills and he kept telling me I needed each one. Finally I looked at all my pills and decided to keep half of them.
Avatar f tn Which makes my anxiety skyrocket right before bed, i have at least one nightmare per night i often have one wake up from it go back to sleep have anther and so on. I was just wondering if anyone knows if nightmares are side effects of this medication.
Avatar n tn I tried some of the ones y9ou tried, and found them to be a little troublesome as far as side effects go. My current med is serzone. Took me about three weeks to get through some of the initial side effects, and to feel better. Now over 2 months into it, I feel great. My other comment is that once you stabilize your dosage, and the side effects diminsh, it's worth the trouble.
Avatar m tn i never went up to 50. my side effects were no appetite the first week, vivid dreams, and dizziness the first week. all of this went away after a couple weeks. i felt serious relief around week 3, but as soon as after week one i felt a difference. i went from always feeling anxious to feeling like something was putting a cap or a lid on my anxiety and keeping it from bubbling up. i would be in situations that used to cause me great anxiety and i'd feel fine!! it was incredible. i felt normal.
Avatar n tn Has anyone experienced any bad side effects from the hcg shots? I am administering them myself and just want to know what to look out for.
2198057 tn?1338534805 I'm wondering if the symptoms I'm having are side effects or should I be worried it's something else. They include hot flashes, drowsiness, restless, itchy, nauseous, and tight throat. Also if they are normal how long does it take for these side effects to go away for most people?
Avatar n tn Wellbutrin takes several weeks before there is any significant effect, but at least there are not as many side effects as the others. The wellbutrin is a good choice if you want to take something in the interim, and also see if that works for you.
Avatar n tn So she switched me to celexa which i have yet to start taking because of the fear of it making me feel like the paxil did. The doctor told me the only side effects that i should have on the celexa is that i might have weird dreams. But i'm not sure that medication works for everyone.. I'm also one that like to do my research.
Avatar n tn So I've continued to take 10mg every 5 days. Once I stop all together how long do you think the side effects will last? Many thanks.
Avatar n tn I do like Celexa and were no real side effects on it for me. Ask your Dr. about taking it at bed time until it build up. To be safe with any medication you take, make sure to inform your Dr first and let him or her no what else you are taking. Some drugs have problems if nixed with other drugs. You didn't break down and start taking anti-depress. You finally acknowledged that they may help. Good luck to all.
497348 tn?1283439666 and yes insomnia was a huge side effect for me it sucked.. i had really bad stomach aches and very vivid dreams which is normal for any ssri... anyway i can still orgasm but i feel like its not as good as it was before i started taking celexa... if that makes sence..
Avatar n tn It's hard to tell if you are experiencing side effects too or just the symptoms of anxiety/depression. These effects may very well subside with time on the medicine. The most important thing to do now is CALL YOUR DOCTOR and let him, with your help, make the call over what to do. Goood luck..let us know how you make out.
Avatar m tn ive never had vivid dreams in my life. im 28. anxiety hit me like a semi truck last week, out of no where. i've always been active. i work everyday. i play drums. and now, i feel trapped in my mind. it seems like instead of one thought moving through my head normally, it is accelled a million times in one second. i can't sit in one place yet i have to push myself to get up and go.
Avatar n tn I have been off Celexa for almost a full week now, but i was wondering if there is a definite time frame when most side effects do diminish? Or is there a time frame for the side effects mentioned above to stop occurring? No one has been able to give a clear answer on this so far. Thank you for your response.
Avatar n tn I am also in the process of getting off Effexor XR. I have been having almost the same side effects as Berly. However, it is not so much a cramp, but rather an inability to keep my legs still. I also am dealing with insomnia. In fact, I am writing this because I can't relax enough to go to sleep. Is there anything I can do to relieve these symptons so that I can get some rest? Thank you.....
Avatar n tn They also are best for anxiety which she claims I have major depression and a najor anxiety disorder. I tried Celexa, similar to Zoloft only Zoloft has more side effects and Celexa is the newest of the SSRI's. I had bad withdrawal for about one week after I stopped taking it for having severe diahrea for over one month: a side effect. The withdrawal was similar to your experience with zoloft only mine also included nausea and vomiting for five days.
Avatar n tn i have been taking effexor for about four years and i find the drug has made me a new person, but if i miss a dose i have severe withdrawls.it feels like i am living in hell.but when i get back on track i feel great.since i started taking these meds, i have put on 40 pounds and i eat very little.and if i try to wean my self down to a lower dose the side effects start all over again.my doctor told me i will probably be on this for the rest of my life.
Avatar n tn At the time I wasn't aware about creeping up on the dose for either going on or off. Side effects were severe: on day 10 my right head side went numb. On day 11 the other side went numb. I was spaced and had trouble sleeping... felt ill all the time. The doctor told me to stick it out. It was the worst 2 weeks of my life. The worst is that on day 3 I got a full upper body shock followed by nausea, a feeling of doom, chills, clammy, etc and thought I had a pinched nerve or something worse.
Avatar m tn for various reasons did not stay on them - mostly due to side effects such as no emotions/fatigue/weigh issues/sexual side effects..to this point none of those are an issue. Good luck!
Avatar n tn The thing with me was, I had tried Zoloft a month or so earlier without much benefit (and nasty side effects), and Celexa was my plan B. I ended up not liking the way it made me feel, either, so my psych. took me off of the stuff. I know from research and prescription inserts, etc. that you're supposed to "wean" yourself off medications so as not to shock your system, but the thing is, I had run out of pills and my presc. for it was a "no refill.
Avatar f tn No, my doc is perfect so I am not afraid to discuss anything with her, I just don't have the time for an appointment and I don't think there is an exact science that applies to every individual since some have big side effects when going off Celexa and others like me don't. I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms other than 1 minor ping and some weird dreams 4 years ago, and the way this withdrawal is going I don't expect any big problems to blindside me in a flash.
Avatar n tn I was fortunate enough to be treated with pegylated interferon and ribaviran combination therapy for 48 weeks in 2006/07. I had many side effects during treatment, but I have cleared the virus. The comments from all of you are mirroring my life. I have joint pain in my fingers, wrists, elbows, ankles, knees, hips. I have muscle aches and fatigue from any activity. I have depression. I have lower back pain. I don't sleep well.
480448 tn?1426952138 ONE important thing to remember that I learned, and have never forgotten is that these two effects CANNOT exist without anxiety.....but that anxiety can exist without these sensations. Derealization is basically a change, an alteration in the PERCEPTION or experience of the external world....in other words...everything LOOKS very strange, very "unreal" (movie like, in my experiences). Depersonalization is a subjective experience of unreality of one's self. So the difference is...
Avatar n tn I know from past experience that citalopram withdrawals are a special kind of hell, and I've tried to stop before, but the withdrawal symptoms were crippling. However I'm finding the side effects of this medication to be limiting my life and work -extreme fatigue, and brain fog, along with a rather embarrassing stutter that I have recently developed when tired, among other things.
Avatar n tn Twitching, Sweating in the night while asleep and waking up soaking, Complete loss of sex drive and being unable to achieve an orgasm, Large appetite, 15 pound weight gain, strange cravings, waking up alot in the night and usually eating(every 2 hours that is exact), weird dreams, not being able to make up my mind on relationships and other little things, sores on my tongue (look like ulcers but not open), sometimes moody, and not being able to cry when I think I should and want too.
1352071 tn?1276907738 Whenever I take medications like Sertraline, I do have a few side effects when I start or adjust the dosage, but they tend to go away in a couple of weeks. I would stress patience and keep an open line of communication open between you and your prescribing doctor...keep us posted!
563659 tn?1310521517 I guess the doc was right my self confidence is just a lil low.Im glad at least the dreams have stopped, was getting so tired of waking up in cold sweats half the time.
