celebrex

1667344 tn?1303311751 That's a question for your doctor - medications should be taken as prescribed unless otherwise advised. You can always call your pharmacist as well, if you can't get ahold of the doctor right away. Next time you are prescribed something, always ask about dosage - when to take it, with food or empty stomach, if it's okay to increase or decrease the dose as needed.
Avatar n tn Then the doctor told me to take Atarax, but I didnt want to accept the fact that I had IC, so I went to another doctor who prescribed me the medication CELEBREX (1 per day for 10 days), because he said it would help with the inflammation in the bladder. Then out of the blue I was doing great !!! Every symptom disappeared and its been 40 days now and Im doing just great.... I feel healthy...!!! I dont know if it was the CELEBREX or the hydrodistention that helped but I was back at normal..
Avatar m tn I had had a problem with anti flams for a while and i new i couldnt take celebrex as i had terrible cramps in my stomach. My doctor gave me the meloxicam by mistake, he done it again the other day but luckily i spotted it and he apologised and changed them to etoricoxib. Please be careful when you are given pain relievers and anti flams. Ime really worried about taking these etoricoxib even tho i was assured by the receptionist that they are not in the same family as celebrex and meloxicam..
Avatar f tn Celebrex is just as likely to contribute to an "event" as other non steroidals, but with one caveat. It acts on primarily one certain type of enzyme, thus leading my rheumo declaring it "less" dangerous. Never the less my cardio didnt want me taking it over 45 days without a serious intermission. Worring can cause funny feelings as your brain dwells on that feeling.Take a deep breath, call your Dr or his nurse and ask.....
Avatar f tn s I was on before my insurance would finally approve Celebrex, than I did with the Norco. The only side effect I had with Norco was nausea with vomiting only when it got really bad. But that was only if I took it on an empty stomach. But the pain relief outweighed the nausea because I took an anti histamine to counter act it. I haven't had to use opiates since February because I had radio frequency ablation and it took away 90% of my pain.
Avatar m tn I am wondering if anyone has gained weight on Celebrex? I have a sprained lumbar, lumbago syndrome with back spasms. I can't take narcotic pain meds. Any alternative to Celebrex? Naproxen does nothing for my pain.
Avatar f tn My son takes a medication that is specific WITH food and also another that says you pick with food or without food, but stay consistent with it. I think Coreg, from my reading, is food optional but the recommendation is that with food is better because it slows the rate of absorption. This is to prevent orthostatic hypotension (this is when bp drops and you get dizzy when you stand up). If you aren't having that problem by not taking it with food, then may not be a worry for you.
Avatar f tn I know that celebrex can be hard on the stomach; is it possible this could be the case with you? Just a thought.
Avatar f tn I am taking 200mg of Celebrex daily for knee pain and I have Hep C. My hep doc sees no problem with it. Sometimes I take two, if I am going to be skiing or riding my bike hard; I'm just hoping that's OK! My two liver biopsys (5 years apart) have been normal.
Avatar f tn t really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex. After they denied me 4 or 5 times, they finally approved it. So now I take 400mg of Celebrex a day and it's a lot more effective than any other NSAID i've been on.
Avatar n tn I do take Celebrex for the rib pain these last month. I were diagnosed yesterday with Cotsochondritis but do not know if it can be something else. I did started treatment 2 years ago for the stomach - Nexium 4mg (five family members died of colocancer) I also have this strange pain in my hips down my legs - it starts and then after a while it feels better but then it feels tender over the vains and the muscles. Can this be my lower back.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if anyone had any experience with weight loss supplements from stores like Gnc or the vitamin shoppe. I just need something to get me started. My doctor prescribed me an amphetamine medication but I decided not to take it because I don't like to take narcotic meds. Any experience and feedback is welcomed.

Avatar m tn Ive recently stopped taking the dexilant and am trying bentyl 4x a day but so far no changes. i am very regular with my bowel movements (once a day) so i dont see how it could be ibs.
Avatar n tn Any person who drinks alcohol regularly should not consume any acetaminophen. For patients with early cirrhosis (CPT class A or B), the use of acetaminophen is safe as long as the recommended dose is not exceeded (1,000 mg per dose, repeated no more often than every 6 hours). Patients with more advanced cirrhosis should take only ½ of the recommended dose. In fact, for patients with cirrhosis, acetaminophen, when used as described, is the preferred medication for the treatment of pain.
Avatar m tn I am not a doctor or pharmacist but I know that at one point I was taking ultracet and celebrex. I would take the celebrax each morning and then the ultracet as needed. Call your doctor or pharmacist to be sure as everyone is different and they know more about the drugs and interactions.
Avatar m tn I had already experienced the side affects she was talking about. I promised not to take the celebrex again. Who would after you thought had the flu or were dying.
548642 tn?1266179652 my gi didnt even know the dose to celebrex so i doubt he knows if its good to my liver! im telling yall hes stupid and i need to find a new dr asap!
Avatar f tn I have been prescibed Celebrex for osteoarthris pain. Can it be taken every day for long term management of arthritis.
Avatar f tn I am not overweight and try to exercise when I can, but I get these attacks through my liver and out my back (right sided) that are so severe and excruciating. I cannot tolerate solid food (of any kind) and I am left with being stuck on a liquid diet for weeks (not fun). I am not a heavy drinker as I find that liquids of any sort do not absorb into my body (I drink socially, 3 drinks when out once every 3 months).
Avatar m tn It's been 11 days and I seem to be going through the norm. I am in a lot of back and joint pain. I am going to see my pain management doctor today. I take meloxicam for arthritis and I think I'm going to ask for a change. I have been told that Celebrex and Indomethacin is a good non narcotic combination. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn My wife has been Dx'ed with Lupus for a while now. She initially did chemo and steroids to get everything under control, and while she is usually fine, she does deal with a lot of fatigue. She started having noticeable cardiac issues (flutters, racing, chest pain) over the summer, which eventually resulted in a Holter monitor. She had her f/u with her cardiologist yesterday and was diagnosed with PVCs.
Avatar f tn I don't have any side effects at all from the cellebrex. I have been taking it for three years now and I take it in the morning after I eat a little something (I'm not a big morning eater) and I take it at night before bed, sometimes without food now that I think about it but it's probably best taken with food. Take care and let me know how you are. When do you go to the doctor?
1415174 tn?1453243103 I did notice that when I took either Tylenol or Celebrex on the bad day it started to break the cycle. Any suggestions or has anyone seen this?
