Celebrex tylenol together

Common Questions and Answers about Celebrex tylenol together

celebrex

Avatar f tn Celebrex may decrease the effectiveness of Metoprolol, and lead to an elevation in blood pressure (approximately 5 mm Hg) when given over a period of weeks. This effect is most significant in patients receiving concurrent antihypertensive agents and long-term Celebrex use.
Avatar m tn Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
Avatar f tn It is my opinion that each of us have to research the medications we take and make our own decisions based on that research and our comfort levels. Personally I would not take Celebrex long term but I take acetaminophen (tylenol) long term which can be just as risky. So it's an individual decision. Does it significantly help your pain? If it does that would certainly be a large part of my decision process. I hope my input has been a bit helpful for you.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I did notice that when I took either Tylenol or Celebrex on the bad day it started to break the cycle. Any suggestions or has anyone seen this?
Avatar n tn Since the blood work and the results the doctor told me to stop taking the Celebrex and just to take Tylenol instead. The doctor now wants me to have an upper GI evaluation. What could possibly be wrong?
Avatar n tn She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Celebrex (200 mg a day) for about five years for bone on bone knee osteoarthritis. It has worked well for controlling my pain (not perfect but pretty good). I also get some lower back pain (combination of osteoarthritis and nerve stuff) that only happens when I over-do (like trying to garden, etc.). I typically need a day or two of Vicodin for that as the Celebrex does not seem to work for that.
Avatar f tn Linda, you are very welcome! This forum is here for advice/suggestions, as well as whining! We all need to "complain" from time to time, and who better than among friends who've "been there"? I myself don't take prescription pain remedies, unless I REALLY need them - maybe once every few months - and I know someone else will be around to help with my grand-daughter. Tylenol - any formula - has never done anything for me. I use Ibuprophen.
Avatar f tn t really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex. After they denied me 4 or 5 times, they finally approved it. So now I take 400mg of Celebrex a day and it's a lot more effective than any other NSAID i've been on.
Avatar f tn My nurse had told me I could alternate advil and tylenol, but I did notice she really emphasized using tylenol and tylenol pm, but she didnt completely rule out advil. I have my 1st dr appt on Tues and I will bring this up, Dont misunderstand me I definetly believe you when you tell me motrin is bad, but I think the medical field should really make it a point to also let people know this, that is why I didnt think anything about taking the motrin.
Avatar n tn I was on Celebrex 200 mg daily, my pain clinic dr also wants to add Cymbalta 30 mg for 7 days then 60 mg. My husband and I want to have children but are not activly trying at this point, it happens when it happens. I just want pain to stop or at least elevate more. SHould I take both together. My OB said it should be ok, My neuro dr said give it a try but pain clinic dr said don't. What should I do? I have taken it for 3 days now. I also have PCOS.
Avatar f tn How long does it take for full effect and can you take Motrin or Tylenol with it. My doc says that I can take the Motrin in between the Celebrex wearing off and the Limbrel taking hold. I just hope that this is the answer to some of my pain. It is beginning to get in the way of my daily living and I am scared that if this gets worse, how will I function? I am 58 years old and have just started to babysit my first grandchild in Sept.
203342 tn?1328737207 He was going to give me Motrin but I told him my GI doctor told me not to take it. So he prescribed Celebrex. The pharmacy noticed I had an allergic reaction to sulfa before and said that Celebrex contains sulfa in it. I told them I just broke out in a rash so they gave me the prescription. Now I'm wondering if I should take it and risk a break out again or take the Motrin and hope things will be ok with that. I just don't know what's best!
548642 tn?1266179652 my gi didnt even know the dose to celebrex so i doubt he knows if its good to my liver! im telling yall hes stupid and i need to find a new dr asap!
Avatar f tn My hip has become the worst - it keeps me from sleeping most nights since that is the side I sleep on. Celebrex does half the job, but I end up using Tylenol Arthritis in addition many days. My doc tried Ultram, but it made me sick. I haven't been back yet, but want to make another appt. I have tried some natural things. They really don't work. Have any of you tried any that do work?
Avatar f tn So I know it's ok to take Tylenol and nurse my baby and I know it's ok to give my baby Tylenol but does anyone know if we can both take it and still nurse?
Avatar m tn Surgery has been suggested to me as well however my doctor has me on celebrex for the arthritus and also tylenol arthritic medication pain killers. I have heard that over a long period of time celebrex may not be good for you however in the interim until you decide it may give you some help.
237152 tn?1206651036 3 are not so serious, but the L5-S1 disc could make me a surgery candidate if I were older, according to the pain Dr. He gave me Celebrex, Topamax?, and Norco, which I am 4 weeks clean from. I have been researching Topamax and all I can find is info. about seizures and migraines. Why would he give me this, and is it addictive? Anyone have any knowledge?
Avatar f tn I have tried Certo and grape juice, tylenol arthritis, Celebrex, and the off brand of something similar. So far I have found that Celebrex works the best, especially when paired with physical exercise. Lifting light weights, doing push-ups on a wall, even just arm circles and stretching. It sounds like it would make it worse, but it actually helps a lot!
1844403 tn?1319049472 I did call my RE and they said no ibuprofen. They said it can mess with ovulation. Only tylenol for this girl!
Avatar f tn m taking/have tried taking ibuprophen, tylenol, celebrex, and lodine for the NSAIDs, and percocet, vicodin and ultram besides -- none of it is working. i'm at the point where i'm just taking something to sleep so i dont have to deal with it until i can see the doc. thanks!
