Avatar n tn You are allergic to the organic molecule to which the iodine is bound, and this molecule is different for topical iodine skin preps vs shrimp vs IV x-ray dye. You can be allergic to any or all of these things, but allergy to x-ray dye is chemically very different from allergy to topical skin preps containing iodine or shell fish.
Avatar f tn Hi,I jus came to no that I am 7weeks expecting, but had chest x-ray done 4 days ago wen I dnt no I was pregnant and the x-ray was without the shield.please advice will it effect the baby ?
Avatar m tn 28/male/non smoker/Asthma/Allergies/GERD. I recently had a chest x-ray for chest tightness and shortness of breath. The x-ray came back normal except the doctor stated in his findings that my interstitium was slightly coarse for my age. What does that mean? I tried doing research about it and all I could find was information about Pulmonary Fibrosis and Hypersensitivity Pneumonia. I am starting to get a little concerned. Any information would be helpful.
Avatar m tn A third trip to the doctor and I was given steroids as well as another round of antibiotics, blood work, and a chest x-ray. The x-ray and blood work came back normal, other than a very faint fog on the x-ray, which the doctor and the radiologist weren't worried about. This time, with the steroids, the coughing got a little better, but did not totally go away. At this point I had had this cough for about 6 or 7 weeks.
Avatar m tn At the time I was concerned that a dental x-ray (realized recently that I also had a CAT scan for a stress test near that time) had caused a white spot deep in the pupil of my left eye. You assured me that this was not the cause. Anyway, that white blotch is still there and that eye always seems to be dry and irritated and the vision has changed from -3.75 diopters gradually down to -2.00 diopters and that even seems to now be incorrect. Does this seem to be a progressing cataract?
Avatar f tn Has he had a chest x-ray if not that is what I would look into. Also were any of the meds inhaled steriods (like flovent) and was he prescribed any other type of inhaler? Has he been exposed to anything different starting in January? I hope you get your answers, achilles2 PS As any part of the homeopathic included a good chiropractor?
Avatar f tn I have a dental appointment tomorrow and I know they may try to give me an x-ray. I'm 16 weeks now and this is my first pregnancy. I went to the dentist earlier this year and they didn't want to do an x-ray because I was in my 1st trimester. Is it really safe to have one done now?
Avatar n tn I have a daughter who doesn't live with me and she has lice will it show up in an x-ray
424839 tn?1268186246 my latest back x ray for some reason the dr's still want me taqking the pain killers saying that I must still be in alot of pain
Avatar f tn Pressure headache with light headedness and tender scalp suggests the possibility of sinusitis. Since your X ray is also showing thickening of the sinuses, it is the most likely cause in your case. Recurrent sinusitis is a possibility in your case. Since you are not responding to the current antibiotics, you may need a stronger antibiotic. In recurrent sinusitis antibiotics have to be taken for as long as 4 weeks before any relief is obtained.
Avatar n tn t see any improvement with the antibiotics, biopsy will probably be the next step. X-ray and scans may help the doctors decide if a biopsy is warranted, but only a biopsy of the affected lymph node can definitively diagnose lymphoma.
Avatar f tn He also has some 7x7 mm (grasses, mites, peanuts and wheat), 8 x 8 (molds) and 9 x 9 mm (dog, cat, soy). The largest was Birch tree at 4 x 11. ALot of weed, grass, tree reactions. Didnt know abput the peanuts, he wont eat peanut butter So my question is, is my son allergic to all of the things that produced a wheal larger than 5 x 5 mm? His allergy sympoms are chronic and a sinus x-ray shows the he STILL has the issue of chronic sinus infection. They want to give him allergy shots.
Avatar n tn He did blood work (came back normal, SED was an 8), an X-Ray for my back (no inflammation) and a CAT with and without contrast. The CAT came back with mild bone degeneration, and bilateral spondylosis on my L5. The doctor said this is indicative of arthritis. Then when we discussed treatments for this he said to increase my Gabapentin (that I take currently at 800mg per day for the fibro pain).
Avatar n tn i think herb can help you, i saw a copd person X-ray, before and after use herb SoupA and SoupB, it is real back, he use this herb about half year.
Avatar m tn Cats are curious and like to play with sparkly things. My cat, Daisy, tried to bite my engagement ring off my finger every time she sees it. So, it is possible. If you're not able to find it after looking everywhere, maybe see if your vet would recommend an x-ray to see? Although in our home, we've had many things disappear only to have them show up at another time - our cats love to take things and then return them. LOL!!!
Avatar f tn My doctor orders me in for a standard radiologic x-ray-WHY? The last time images were ordered, I had a, I believe a CAT and x-ray. The x-ray showed nothing out of the ordinary, whereas the CT showrd a huge 14mm stone in my left kidney urerter. The x-ray today shows nothing just like the last x-ray so why waste my husband taking time off work, unpaid, to take an image which isn't going to show anything anyway????????????????
Avatar f tn What did the X-ray show? Is it cancer?? So sorry to hear a diagnosis like that, I know you've been trying everything and researching that's terrible news. However I must say animals adapt extremely well, I've never had a pet myself with 3 legs, but I am friends with some gals who run a rescue org. Here locally and sadly they at times have to go the amputation route for injured animals, they do very well!!
Avatar f tn An x-ray tech is not trained to read the x-rays they take...only to take them correctly so that the x-ray can be read by a physician.
