Cat allergies vaccination

Common Questions and Answers about Cat allergies vaccination

cat-allergies

Avatar m tn Could not even stay with a cat in the room. I went to an alllergy specialist (in Turkey) and he prepared me a vaccination. It was not sold in the pharmacies, it was something he prepared). I did the vaccination for 4 years and my allergy is more bearable now. If I am in a cat environment I take my allergy pill and I am OK.. maybe you should change your doctor and take second opinion??
Avatar f tn Yup I would get it. The only other option is to give them the cat so they can disect it's brain. The rabies vaccination has not had any bad side effects on pregnancy as of yet!
874521 tn?1424116797 t have to be concerned with all those unnecessary vaccines that have a greater potential for harm. It was after a routine vaccination that my previous cat started showing the first signs of IBD, so thi has already been on my mind concerning my present cat. Plus, with all I've learned about human vaccines, I'm not too keen on giving too many vaccines to my cat. I can see that there are actually MORE problems with modern vaccines than even th ones given when I was a child.
Avatar n tn My cat has been sneezing and having nasal discharge for a month now. She has no other symptoms. She plays, she eats well. Just sneezes and has nasal drainage. Her eyes are good. No swollen or runny eyes. Is this allergies? I noticed she usually only sneezes when her nose touches objects or she sniffs. Sometimes mucous comes out with the sneeze.

Today he is tired, not eating or drinking much at all. Is this the norm after these vaccines?? He isnt vomiting and doesnt feel warm its just not like him to be this way. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you sara Hi Savas!!!!! You really are the CL for cats!!!!!
Avatar n tn This morning as I was eating breakfast, his cat came up to me, and out of nowhere, bit my leg. It was a small puncture but left a visible mark. I'm worried about possibly getting tetanus. I had my last Tetanus vaccine 7 years ago. Do I need a booster?
Avatar f tn How do y'all deal with cat allergies?!?!? I've just recently become super allergic to my best friends cat's and I wanna be able to go see her without her cats killing me!!! (or me wanting to kill myself for that matter!) It's really bad, and my eyes, ears, throat, nose and basically whole body have really become anti-cats lately :( What should I do?!?!?! Thanks for the tips and suggestions friends!
Avatar f tn t be the rabies vaccination. Call the vet and get his or her advice about whether you should bring the cat in. Cats can get infections after being neutered, what kind of litter box does he have and what is in it? You want to rule out infection for sure. (I assume you are saying he is a male despite using the word "spayed," is that correct?) If he has an infection at the operation site, it needs to be handled with antibiotics and quickly.
Avatar f tn Allergies aren't hereditary but they can come and go. Some people outgrow allergies and others get them when they are older. My little brother had a lot of allergies when he was a kid (including pet dander) and outgrew them, while I didn't have them as a child but became more prone to them as an adult.
Avatar m tn When my friend adopted her cat from a shelter she was told that this cat had been treated for URI and was no longer contagious even though she continued to have trouble breathing (making noises). Then my friend adopted another cat and this second cat did not get sick although there was a time when he would not eat for a few days. Then my friend and her cats moved in with me about 2 years ago and 6 of my 7 cats got sick with URI.
Avatar f tn Good day to all, I was eating last friday on the street when suddenly a cat appeared, my question is, is it possible to be bitten or scratched without knowing/noticing/feeling it happened? I checked my legs and I didn't find bleeding or anything. I am scared right now because the cat is a stray one, I saw it today (6 days after), and i think it is still fine. Do i need vaccination or is this just OCD?
2169449 tn?1358489923 I take Zyrtec 10 mg tablet daily im allergic to my cat/ seasonal allergies etc.
Avatar n tn I doubt you need to be vaccinated. I am a vet tech and get scratched every day by cats and dogs. Puppies do not tend to have had enough exposure to communicable disease to be able to transmit them to a human. However, anything is possible. Keep the wound clean, do not cover it at all (allow air to the area so that it does not hold germs between cleanings). Watch for swelling, spreading redness, heat around the wound, and any discharge. These are signs that you need to see a doctor.
Avatar f tn over the next couple weeks i started getting vertigo whenever it felt like my ear was starting to open it would last 2 hours to 10 hours, not getting any answers from my doctor, i went to the emergency rm.
Avatar f tn I was told with my first they don't develop allergies until the age of 1 or 2 yrs. I can't remember which. It's been 5 yrs ago lol. Having a cat will actually help build up their immune system.
Avatar f tn Oh, I just noticed that this is your cat. Has your cat never gotten a rabies vaccine? How is the cat behaving, do you think the cat is rabid?
Avatar f tn hey guys, I'm 4 weeks pregnant and the whole time I've been getting sinus allergies from mine and my partners dogs!!
Avatar n tn When I went home I played with my cat and the allergies returned. What could have caused this and should I adopt a new cat if I somehow now have cat allergies?

Avatar f tn I just heard that it could be very dangerous for an 18 year old to recive a rabies shot. My cat has never ever been out and she is in perfect health. I want to adapt a kitten that i found but they (county animal services) r saying that my 18 year old cat has to be vaccinated. I dont want her to get sick or even die because of what ever is in this vaccinion! Is this true? I am willing to vaccinate the new kitten with everything but I dont know now if I should take a chance.
