cat allergies medicines

I have really bad allergies... and this is my first pregnancy. Can I take any kind of allergy medicine?

After many years of suffering with allergies (cat, dogs, feathers, trees, grasses, dust and dust mites) I got tested in January and began taking allergy shots in February. I suffered many years of poor sleep and was treated for depression and anxiety but the medicines did not really do anything. Finally, I realized they my severe allergies were my underlying issues, after being testing and some allergen were a 4+.

Says his throat hurts, dr decided he had some sort of reflux then and allergies. Now he has always had allergies but I never knew allergies to cause all the rest of this stuff. So came home with more meds. A few days later we were back at the drs office, she sent us to the hospital for blood work this time to check for mono and pneumonia.

My cat has been sneezing and having nasal discharge for a month now. She has no other symptoms. She plays,she eats well. Just sneezes and has nasal drainage. Her eyes are good. No swollen or runny eyes. Is this allergies? I noticed she usually only sneezes when her nose touches objects or she sniffs. Sometimes mucous comes out with the sneeze.

How do y'all deal with cat allergies?!?!? I've just recently become super allergic to my best friends cat's and I wanna be able to go see her without her cats killing me!!! (or me wanting to kill myself for that matter!) It's really bad, and my eyes, ears, throat, nose and basically whole body have really become anti-cats lately :( What should I do?!?!?! Allergies aren't hereditary but they can come and go. Some people outgrow allergies and others get them when they are older. My little brother had a lot of allergies when he was a kid (including pet dander) and outgrew them, while I didn't have them as a child but became more prone to them as an adult.

What are some good cold medicines that i can take at 35 wks? I had a runny nose for about a week ,i thought it was just allergies but now my throats beginning to hurt and im getting mucus n my chest... i need something ... any1 know?

I take Zyrtec 10 mg tablet daily im allergic to my cat/ seasonal allergies etc.

over the next couple weeks i started getting vertigo whenever it felt like my ear was starting to open it would last 2 hours to 10 hours, not getting any answers from my doctor, i went to the emergency rm.

I was told with my first they don't develop allergies until the age of 1 or 2 yrs. I can't remember which. It's been 5 yrs ago lol. Having a cat will actually help build up their immune system.

I'm having the worst allergies possible. Haven't had them at all during this pregnancy until I hit Idaho and Washington. It's horrible..I'm going nuts. I can't breathe out of my nose. Hubby is a truck driver I've been cruising but headed home next week. Any suggestions?? Any meds ok to take??

Greetings! My name is Tom and I suffer from severe non- food related allergies. Although they can be controlled, I find that my allergic reaction to dogs is so strong that drugs have little effect. The obvious solution is to take immunotherapy (allergy shots). However, when I contacted my allergist's secretary she said that they do no have one. I would like to rebut her claim, but in order to do so I need proof that this exists.

Hi Kiki, My cat was just dx'd with herpes in her eyes. For years, we too, thought it was allergies, but no. According to my vet, herpes is very common in cats. The way I figured out what was possibly going on with my cat was to google "feline herpes conjunctivitis." Some sites will give you pictures to look at and compare as well as descriptions. Discharge from the eyes have many possible dx's, but a simple blood test will confirm whether your kitty has herpes or not.

It could also be allergies from something else, such as fleas, flea bites or dust. This is harder to determine and may have to be discovered by a vet.
