365714 tn?1292199108 t let the doctor blame this on allergies without checking out other causes. If it does wind up diagnosed as allergies, there's lots of good meds out there. Zyrtec is over the counter-works great. Singulair is another good drug-prescription and also works great!
Avatar f tn I have been having severe migrains since feb of this year. Im 23 and in pretty good health besides having asthma. They started out coming every couple days then every other day the headache became permanent. It lasts everyday all day. The pain kept getting worse and worse so I finally saw a nurse practitioner about 2 months ago and she put me on Topamax.
Avatar n tn My cat has been sneezing and having nasal discharge for a month now. She has no other symptoms. She plays, she eats well. Just sneezes and has nasal drainage. Her eyes are good. No swollen or runny eyes. Is this allergies? I noticed she usually only sneezes when her nose touches objects or she sniffs. Sometimes mucous comes out with the sneeze.

(or me wanting to kill myself for that matter!) It's really bad, and my eyes, ears, throat, nose and basically whole body have really become anti-cats lately :( What should I do?!?!?! Thanks for the tips and suggestions friends!
Avatar f tn Allergies aren't hereditary but they can come and go. Some people outgrow allergies and others get them when they are older. My little brother had a lot of allergies when he was a kid (including pet dander) and outgrew them, while I didn't have them as a child but became more prone to them as an adult.
Avatar n tn For almost a week now i've had a bad headache. It started out on Thursday as a dull ache that would come and go about 2/3 inches behind my ear (level with my eye). It would only last around 10-30seconds - but enough to notice it. Saturday it was a lot worse - occurring every 10/15 minutes right throughout the day and was almost unbearably sore. It was around the same all Sunday and on monday it was just as sore but not quite a frequent.

Avatar f tn over the next couple weeks i started getting vertigo whenever it felt like my ear was starting to open it would last 2 hours to 10 hours, not getting any answers from my doctor, i went to the emergency rm.
Avatar f tn I was told with my first they don't develop allergies until the age of 1 or 2 yrs. I can't remember which. It's been 5 yrs ago lol. Having a cat will actually help build up their immune system.
Avatar f tn hey guys, I'm 4 weeks pregnant and the whole time I've been getting sinus allergies from mine and my partners dogs!!
Avatar n tn I was wondering why barametric pressure is such a problem for sinus. I have noticed that when my weather has been warm and then rain is coming or when it has been cool and then it goes from say 65 degrees to 100, I get terrible sinus headaches. They don't seem to stem from allergies, although I do have allergies but I seen to have more problems with weather changes and being around smoke or strong odors.
Avatar n tn When I went home I played with my cat and the allergies returned. What could have caused this and should I adopt a new cat if I somehow now have cat allergies?
Avatar m tn A CAT scan won't show very much. It is an obsolete form of diagnosis. Your son needs a dye contrast MRI. That being said there is hazard in such a procedure for an eleven year old. In view of the history, if he were my son, I would think about having such a scan done, The benefits outweigh the risks. I would not get another CAT scan. This equipment is obsolete and CAT scans are sold by medical facilities trying to amortize obsolete equipment. I think a good M.D.
Avatar m tn Greetings! My name is Tom and I suffer from severe non- food related allergies. Although they can be controlled, I find that my allergic reaction to dogs is so strong that drugs have little effect. The obvious solution is to take immunotherapy (allergy shots). However, when I contacted my allergist's secretary she said that they do no have one. I would like to rebut her claim, but in order to do so I need proof that this exists.
7165624 tn?1395647767 I have allergies im wondering if i can buy certain pills or what do you do when u get them??
Avatar m tn ve had an allergy test this is why you know that you are have animal dander allergies. Do you have a dog, cat , bunny or hamster as a pet ? Just wondering. Be well.
Avatar n tn I had another doctor tell me that was ****. This is not a sinus headache. I have had several of those, this headache does not have congestion with it. I went to my eye doctor also and they said my eye was perfectly healthy. Up until now, I have not been a headache sufferer - I rarely get headaches at all. There is no stress, I am a teacher who was off for the summer. I have had a cat scan which revealed nothing. I have been told I do not have a brain tumor or meningitis.
Avatar n tn Hi Kiki, My cat was just dx'd with herpes in her eyes. For years, we too, thought it was allergies, but no. According to my vet, herpes is very common in cats. The way I figured out what was possibly going on with my cat was to google "feline herpes conjunctivitis." Some sites will give you pictures to look at and compare as well as descriptions. Discharge from the eyes have many possible dx's, but a simple blood test will confirm whether your kitty has herpes or not.
2101568 tn?1337345262 I say this as I am thinking it may be allergies, is he outside a lot, he may also have some enviromental challenges there as we have here and the symptoms are not un usual. I have a journal up regarding the aerial spraying that is going on around the world and I know UK gets it as we do here.To explain in full would be hard on here but take a look art my journal .
Avatar m tn t know why that is impacting his life, but it sounds like the cat has anxiety. Usually if the cat has food allergies, they will scratch around their neck, top of their head and possibly around their face. It could also be allergies from something else, such as fleas, flea bites or dust. This is harder to determine and may have to be discovered by a vet. If they feel that is the reason, they can give the cat a shot that will temporarily relieve the itching for about a month.
Avatar f tn Says his throat hurts, dr decided he had some sort of reflux then and allergies. Now he has always had allergies but I never knew allergies to cause all the rest of this stuff. So came home with more meds. A few days later we were back at the drs office, she sent us to the hospital for blood work this time to check for mono and pneumonia.
Avatar n tn My doctor has now prescribed 1 week of steroids and if no improvements a CAT scan. No head trauma in my history or allergies or migraines. This is worrisome and polyps were not mentioned. Would polyps cause such headaches and eye pain...and isolated to early morning hours? Thanks again.
