Avatar m tn It normally happens approximately 12 - 24 hours afterwards. For example If I finish a gym workout at 9pm and I do my normal routine go to bed etc. I then get up in the morning and my muscles are stiff I will instantly know that the hives will start to come up and the more a move around (walking) the more the rash comes up.
Avatar f tn Hey guys, so I am trying to make a life change amd I know the whole no bad carbs and drink plenty of water and exercise, bit everytime I have tried to diet I get discourage and feel like my exercises aren't the right ones to be doing. Its like I need a set routine or workout but I don't have personal trainer money. Can some one give me some tips on a rreasonable distance to do cardio and free weight exercises to tone the stomach legs amd arms.

Avatar n tn You have to make up your mind and do what you have to do!!! Do the following! You do your strength training first then cardio!!! The Peak 8 routine it will quickly raise your heart rate 8 times for very short bursts, with a cooling down period in between. Ideally you’ll be sprinting or cycling full throttle for 30 seconds with a 90 second cool down in between each outburst. This is the fastest way to lose fat and build muscle in the body.

My 4 times a week cardio routine for the past year has been ELIPTICAL or indoor bike for 30-40mins at faily high intensity.. where i burn 300-500cals(that what it says), RPMS 75-90 and I keep my HEART RATE around 150-160 my heart rate recovery has always been great.. i get it to 170 for a few seconds, then what it drop to 120-125 within 1mins,...
Avatar n tn Then one day the weight started coming off and I've lost 15 lbs. in the past three months. You also need to vary your workout routine. I have a friend who teaches aerobics, cardio classes, and dance six days a week in addition to a very healthy diet and can't lose weight b/c she's been doing the same thing for years. Your body will get used to a certain exercise and it won't be as effective anymore. Try different forms of cardio and do some light weight training. Muscle burns more fat.

579258 tn?1250652943 As promised, though I skipped working out in the AM, I did accomplish a 30 minute stint on the stair machine this PM. OK, now to fill in my tracker, rest and drink lots of water. Barb135--I have Wii fit, too, but haven't used it that much yet. And walking during work is a great idea if you can fit it in. Good ideas.
Avatar n tn I have bumped up my workout to 60min of cardio 5-6 days a week. 3 of those days I do additional weight training for about 30-45min. Is that too much exercise and not enough calories. Should I up one or lower the other?

I workout for an hour 5 days a week incorporating 20-30mins. of cardio with 20-30min.s of weight training. I am really trying to stay focused, but is gets really fustrating when I am not losing any more weight. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I do eat healthier than I use to, which has helped but....
649848 tn?1534637300 I don't reward myself for weight loss, but I reward myself for healthy behavior. For instance, I have a new workout outfit hanging in my room. If I can make it a month doing my 3500 calorie a week rotation, I get to wear the new outfit. (My current workout clothes are almost in shreds, so I need to conquer this or I may be in trouble.) Next month, I come up with a new goal and a new reward. This may get your mind more focused on the new healthy habits instead of just the weight loss.

Avatar f tn Well what happened was I ended up gaining weight even with following my normal diet and exersise routine. I even started doing 30 -45 mins of cardio at night and was still gaining 1-3 pounds a week. Now while I was on depo my testaterone droped and so did my estrogyn so I had to start supplementing. The reason I am telling you this is because I got back on the depo and am starting to loose weight. you might want to ask you gyn if the depo might help you. Just a thought. I wish you well.

My diet, for the most part, has always consisted of homecooked, organic, modestly proportioned meals and snacks. Not too long after I started going to the gym, I started getting acne like other exercisers who have posted in the MedHelp forums. But my acne occurs almost exclusively around my mouth/chin area.

Avatar n tn I have 3 other discs that have herniated and gone through serious episodes of extreme pain. My releif came when a doctor recommeded (besides my cardio workout DAILY) adding a daily regime of weights and abdominal work. I am stronger than ever and feel great, my back only hurts when I don't work out. It did not happen over night but a daily committment over months. Another option that worked great was a steriod injection (series of 3), that also calms the inflamation and is non-invasive.

Then, depending on whether I'm doing cardio or strength-training, I either eat more protein (cheese stick) or some more carbs+protein (half of whole-wheat bagel). Don't ask me what I ate today. My donut crumb-lips are sealed!!! I'll think of an excuse if asked for one...............

Avatar n tn I do know that her weight loss has not been dur to exercise because she is not on a regular exercise routine since she has fibramialga and her legs sometimes really hurt. I will post again ASAP. Although I am not a person living with diabetes, I can relate to the frustration when you do not know what to do when your weight is not where you would like to to be.

Try aerobics, Richard Simmons, walking (great way to build stamina), biking, swimming, stair steps, pilates (builds core) .. just anything that lets you MOVE. Start someplace and do what you can .. do not overdo this. Build a little day by day .. even just 30 seconds more than the day before. I have approximately 50 pounds remaining on my journey.
Avatar n tn I'm currently working out 4-5 times a week; I'm doing predominately cardio b/c I heard that only cardio will help you lose fat. Since I've only been taking SlimQuick for 2 days now, I haven't noticed anything yet. I'm really hoping that I will get the results that some of you are getting. I would love to lose 2 lbs a week! Well, I'll write back when I see results in the next week or so.

He does not enroll you in set plans, he listens to you and personalises atreatment that fits your lifestyle (at least thats what he did with me) i talked to him and his dietician. far as his injections....he has three different formulations, one of which is straight B12, the second and the third are special ingrediants that are mixed in B12 and B-complex.
Avatar n tn My body must have become used to that workout so I had decided to take aerobics classes at a gym and alternate, yoga/pilates with a weight lifting workout and a dance workout. It is awesome, and you will see a big difference taking phentermine and a good workout plan and better eating habits! Good luck to all of you!!!!
Avatar n tn I do weights three times a week for an hour plus 45min to 60 min of cardio and the other days I do 1 to 2 hours of cardio. Muscle burns fast faster because your metabolism stays higher longer. You can also be a smaller size but weigh more because lean muscle weighs more than fat. My best friends doctor is 154 pounds and is a size 4. My diet says to stay away from Slimfast because it is high in carbs. Instead go for whey protein. Walmart sells Body Fortress and I started with that.
Avatar n tn I do have the same problem, I took accutane for a year 40mg/day and I started to have lower back pain. I workout almost everyday. At the end of my treatment I had real pain in my shoulders bones and muscles, last Month I went to physical therapy for the pain. My doctor took x-ray didn't find any problem with my shoulder but I get a poping sound in my Shoulder joint that's why I we t to physical therapy.
