Avatar f tn I'm a 24 years old female. I started getting off "sugar train" at September last year. From November/December I have uncontrolled inner vibrations, like a washing machine when spin-dries. It is strange! Usually they are in connection with my cycle too, after the 2nd week it is worse. At this time when I eat very little sugar, or higher carb cakes (I live gluten free life, but flours like white rice flour has high carbs, that I coud not avoid yet, but I'm working on it).

Did it again today 24+6 same rules. What to eat that morning woild depend on when your test is. I had mine at 1:30 today and just had water because I didnt have an appetite but at my first one I had a belvida breakfast biscuit around 8 and my appointment was at 2.

ALTHOUGH MOST OF MY PROBLEMS HAVE EITHER BEEN RESOLVED OR ARE GETTING BETTER THERE IS THIS MAIN PROBLEM WHICH IS REALLY FRUSTRATING ME. Avatar n tn I can answer this one!!!! I have a dog who has thrown up almost every 12 hours for the past 2 years. He's had every test in the book, blood, urine, endoscopies of both ends, and more blood tests. Repeatedly. There is no reason for it that we know of. Our vet calls these dogs "Puker Dogs", and said that work ups often show no discernible cause. Of course, you HAVE to do the work ups to be sure its not something serious, first of all, as you are doing.
Avatar m tn If you trade the simple carbs (white sugar, flour, rice, pasta, etc) for complex carbs, you will accomplish the same thing. Complex carbs (fiber - fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc) help make you feel fuller faster and keep you feeling fuller longer, as does protein. With the proper food, there should be no depression due to lack of tryptophan or anything else. Your body needs all of the different food groups, including carbs, so best not to try to eliminate any of them.

If you take 250 mg at each meal that is 750 mg a day, the limit is 2400mg a day so you have room to go up on the Met. It can take 6 to 8 weeks for met to become fully effective.

Avatar n tn There is NO ideal carb count. Each of us is different. How many carbs you can handle without having your BG go too high (140 in the USA) is different than it is for me (I eat under 50gr a day). Google "eat to your meter" that will tell you haw many carbs YOU can eat.
Avatar n tn Hey there! I don't think you need to limit yourself to a certain amount of carbs per day. I would recommend trying a high protein and high fiber diet. Also try meal planning. Having a plan will ensure that you aren't going overboard on carbs, and knowing how many carbs you'll have for each meal will help you plan your bolus more correctly.

I have not eaten a single cake, biscuit, chocolate, or sweet during the eight week period and am very despondent that my efforts are now in vain. I can’t claim to be eating a completely healthy diet but I am eating the same food and the same amount of food that I did in the first (successful) four weeks. I believe that I eat reasonably sensibly with fairly small portions.
Avatar f tn I keep a bowl of sliced radishes, celery, carrots, etc sitting on the counter most of the time, so whenever I walk by, I can grab a few slices to munch on. This keeps me from being so hungry at meal time. I also keep a large tumbler of iced lemon water on the counter and I sit at that whenever I walk by, as well. Drinking water keeps me hydrated and helps keep me fuller. And of course, there's always exercise.

Avatar n tn Agree, it's OK to take both. However, don't mix the two together and inject each at different sites. Mixing can ruin the effectiveness.
