Avatar f tn I wanted to be at a comfortable weight and since I study nutrition I decided to create my own diet. I lost a healthy amount of weight and still had a lot of energy to exercise. I suggest sticking to a high protein diet and limiting the amount of carbohydrates you eat. Carbohydrates, fats and proteins are all digested in a particular order and knowing this order is the key to any weight loss.
Avatar m tn I believe the best way to go about this is talk with a Herbalife Sales person and let them provide for you a testimonial of someone who has used their product to have a positive result on diabetes. You should talk to that person and let him or her show you what, how and when they did it. Anyone who has a positive result about something should be proud to tell the whole world. I know not everyone will get the same result, however, what works for one person should equally work for someone else.
Avatar f tn d like to start doing more work outs to make me fitter but never find the energy for them. Can anyone help with how to balance my nutrition? I have looked online but everything is about supplements or suggests I eat all the things I already eat. Thanks for any help you can give!

Carbohydrates [simple carbs] that break down quickly during digestion and release sugar rapidly into the bloodstream have a high GI; carbohydrates that break down more slowly, releasing sugar more gradually into the bloodstream, have a low GI. As asok mentioned, watch the carbs. Carbs are wreak havoc to a t2 diabetics glucose level. 2.
Avatar n tn doctors know nothing about nutrition. Nor is there any consensus about nutrition except to eat a lot of vegetables and that 16 is too young to be playing around with this kind of stuff. Gymdandee does not share my view on this, but genetics plays a big role in having six pack abs, and so does an unhealthy obsession with looks. Very few of even the most highly trained professional athletics have highly visible six pack abs. Most who do got them by taking steroids and human growth hormone.
Avatar f tn The most important thing is to set reachable goals, as you reach those goals it will help to keep you on track and stay motivated.I don't like saying the word diet so I'm going to tell you that you need to change your nutrition plan. I don't believe in diets, diets are for people who just want to lose weight and find the easy way out and a diet is only a temporary solution for a permanent problem.
Avatar n tn I would like to see a food tracker that would track foods & liquids consumed daily. The purpose for this tracker would be to demonstrate: 1. "healthy" vs "unhealthy" eating habits; 2. amount of calories & protein, carbohydrates, potassium, sugar, fiber, etc eatten daily; 3.

Avatar f tn All foods may be eaten in moderation if you have diabetes, but too many carbohydrates may increase your blood glucose levels. Carbohydrates break down into sugars easily, so healthy carbohydrates such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes such as beans and peas and low-fat dairy products should constitute the majority of this food group.
