I had HG with my first pregnancy and once a day I'd have to pee on a stick that measured ketones in my urine, if it was higher some days they would make me drink an extra 2 or 3 water bottles or go in for iv fluids. The best bet is to try and avoid the things that might trigger them like caffeine, sugar and carbohydrates, spicy foods or anything that cause acid reflux, eating too big or too heavy meals. As well make sure you stay well hydrated and work on any stress and anxiety. Do your best to ignore the extra beats.

Are you getting the variety you need? Are you getting enough fats ( when I eat healthy, I never get enough fat and it makes me feel soooooo blah)? What do you "feeling unwell"? Is it your tummy? Are you generally feeling blah?

And if you are a heavy exerciser make sure you do a proper warm up and cool down. I find if I do my cardio first thing in the morning before I have eaten I have more problems then if I exercise later in the day.

Chocolate and anything else that may upset the stomach or cause acid reflux. Try to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water. Make sure you do a proper warm up and cool down when exercising and try to address and manage any stress and anxiety in your life which are big triggers.
Avatar m tn The other thing I will suggest, beyond working on ways to manage your anxiety like meditation, yoga and counseling, try to watch your caffeine intake and watch foods that irritate the stomach like chocolate, sugar, carbohydrates and spicy foods as well eating meals that are too large. Avatar f tn If you have acid reflux try to address that and make sure you are well hydrated. Dehydration is a big source of higher than normal heart rates and premature beats. All those things can aggravate premature beats so cutting back may help lessen the amount you get. Then just try to work on stress and anxiety, maybe try to meditate or do breathing exercises. When you feel yourself stressing out just try to calm yourself as best you can with deep breathing and see if it helps.
