Avatar f tn I have been formally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and possible Carbohydrate Intolerance. My issue is when I eat a load of carbs, it hits up to 3 days later and I can't hardly get out of bed and am weak most of the day. Everything I read about Carb Intolerance says that fatigue usually hits within the first few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? Carb crash, a day or days after the carbs are eaten?
611184 tn?1222039645 ~ 25-30 years ago, I read an article that recommended taking the Omega-3 fish oils first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and avoid any other consumptions for 30 minutes...this suggestion was based on the fact that this kept the O3 from going through the digestive system process; and straight to the areas of the body that benefitted from the supplement. I take a tablespoon each morning and so far it's working..

As an example, one half cup of SPLENDA® Granulated contributes 12 grams of carbohydrates and 11 to 20 grams are counted as one starch exchange. In SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener Packets, sucralose is combined with maltodextrin and dextrose. These ingredients contribute 1 gram of carbohydrate and four calories per packet.

Avatar f tn t know, IP 6 is a polyphosphorylated carbohydrate that is found in many bran cereals) as well and it does look to have promise, except that it reduces platelet activity, so it's important for anyone on chemo to let their physican know so this can be monitored w/your labs prior to each cycle. IP 6 has been shown in a study to inhance the effects of Tamoxifen, so that is a plus! Have you looked into Maitake D-Fraction? It's a beta-glucan which is safe and also boosts the immune system.
