Alcohol does have carbohydrates in it, but different types of beverages have different amounts of carbs. It has a lot to do with
what is used to make the alcohol and how it
is made. (ie: many beers are made from wheat, barley, corn, or rice...typically high in carbohydrates. Wine is often made from grapes or other fruits that are then fermented to produce alcohol) In short- alcohol does have carbohydrates, but the amount of carbs varies a good bit between various types of drinks.
