Do not take any carbohydrate containing foods until your blood sugars come down. If your numbers don't come down within a few hours you should go to the ER. You will need to see your doctor. maybe you need to start on insulin to help control your blood sugars. A low carbohydrate diet, and low glycaemic index foods may help you in controlling blood sugars.

My issue is when I eat a load of carbs, it hits up to 3 days later and I can't hardly get out of bed and am weak most of the day. Everything I read about Carb Intolerance says that fatigue usually hits within the first few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? Carb crash, a day or days after the carbs are eaten?
Avatar f tn my 3 year old doesn't like to drink milk anymore from a bottle, from a cup, from a glass or wherever I put it. I'm afraid he's not getting vitamins and minerals from milk. he usually takes a total of 30 oz a day. now its down to ZERO.

My exercise routine consists of weight training and biking (stationary) for 20 miles 2-3 times a week. I have seen minor differences in my body, such as lost inches on the waist. Avatar n tn I say try eating a higher protein, lower carbohydrate diet for a week or two and see if that helps. High carb diets, especially with sugars, tend to make us sluggish and hungry very shortly after eating. Try eating more meats, dairy products, fresh fruits & vegetables and drink plenty of water.

So basically, this is what I got from it- fresh vegtables, fresh fruits, lean meats, most nuts, NO LACTOSE, NO SUGAR (except in fruits and honey), and NO STARCHES. Is this about right? Also, what is the policy on yogurt and coconut milk?
Avatar f tn We got 410ml of lucozade to drink in 5 minutes. Real nasty stuff to drink even when not pregnant and on top of it after fasting for 12 hrs, nasty! Turns out I have gestational diabetes (readings were slightly elevated) where I now have to monitor (prick and test) my blood glucose everyday until baby arrives. ***** because it makes me stress about eating anything carbohydrate. My baby somehow was on track but I since being on this new diet baby measured 3 days smaller than supposed to.

You can find a lot of info on diets for diabetics and pre-diabetics online. There is no need to have a special meal just for you if you can manage portion control. A slice of cake or another sweet treat, one or twice a week, will not hurt you if you manage your carb/sugar intake. Good luck.

I eat about 3 meals a day, with some snacks between them sometimes. I am 30 years old and exercise 3 times a week. Its the hunger that comes out of nowhere. I don't remember when I had a good night sleep. Only when I have few drinks I can sleep restful deep sleep without waking up. During the day i feel foggy and exhausted, especially by the end of the day.
