Avatar f tn Hi, I want to lose some weight, but it seem to hard to do it when passed 30's even though I think I eat very healthy, no fast food, fat, fried, junk food instead of fruits and veggies (well, rice sometime) on the week day. On the weekend is optional...a little bit sugar and fat, fried stuff here and there. I do little work out about 30 mins every day on the week day though. Any suggestion?

What that means is that I try to eat lean, rarely drink, and take in around an average of 8 hours of sleep per day. I am now doing this (eating about 50 g of carbs a day) and have managed to stop insulin for now (with good blood sugar numbers if I can keep within the carb limits) and lose weight. Calorie control is important for weight management, but I personally believe that carbohydrate control is even more important than the gross calories.
