Avatar f tn You say you're not eating sweets which is good, but are you also watching your carbohydrate intake, like white flour, pasta, potatoes, etc? Be careful with anything "sugar free" because they often contain other sweeteners that can wreak havoc with your sugar levels. If you feel you are doing everything right, then you need to address this with your doctor to determine what else can be done to get this under control. I wish you all the best and take care.

Without knowing your background or what you're doing to control and manage your diabetes a few questions comes to mind. 1. Have you taken a diabetes class? If not check with your local hospital whether they offer one. Most do. Your doctor may know of one too.

If not, you must watch the simple sugars carefully. Small amounts of fruit are okay and larger amounts can be tolerated after eating protein.

Avatar n tn First, you must realize that there is a huge difference in the treatment of type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. For the type 2 diabetic, I also have read (from the Atkins people) that their diet is a good way to lower glucose levels. This is logical for the type 2 diabetic, for eating a fairly low-carbohydrate diet would not require the production of as much insulin by the already stressed pancreas.

My blood sugar reduces from 15.7%(accumulate 3 month) to 5.6% but I still worry about my weight. My weight was 48-49 kg but now it is 52-53 kg.I try to lose it but it's so difficult. Although I run on Air Walker at Fitness 60 mins every time I go and also biking 15 mins. It still be 52 kg. Do you have any suggestion to lose my weight?
